Sturdy. That was a word that described the black-and-white tabby perfectly. A broad build, muscle flexed underneath thick fur. As the bulky leader sprung for him, he braced himself to take the impact. And he did- but it was the claws that he'd have to worry about now. As Dawnstar's claws raked his jaw and chest and her teeth sunk in, all in a split second too fast for him to avoid, he raised his claws and aimed to sink them into her shoulders, and if he got purchase within her muscles, he'd shove to the side with all of his weight and force in an efforts to disorient and slam the newly-landed leader to the ground or at the very least, unsteady her, especially since her front paws were busy tearing through his fur and flesh which left her balancing on the back two.
Pain was secondary to the adrenaline racing through his blood. Bloodlust was the wrong word- or maybe it was right. Eveningthaw had found that recently, the more blood his claws made bleed, the more he ached to sink them in deeper and more frequently. What a dangerous fixation to latch onto, especially for someone so just and moral and pious as he. So, he turned his vexation on those that deserved it. Like Dawnstar, who in all her grandeur, was just another piece in the RiverClan massacre.
"I think you'll find," he sucked in a breath through his teeth, "RiverClan has sharks, too." With that, the massive (though, not quite so massive in comparison to his opponent, he supposed) tom aimed to clamp his jaws down on her muzzle and pull, an attack that's primary purpose was the pain and damage it would cause, secondary to the ultimate purpose of winning. It was out of nothing but pride.
ShadowClan
Yup, she felt it. The long claws dug into her shoulders, but Dawnstar didn't seem to mind it, the pain, the blood rising to the surface and wetting her dark pelt. This was quite a thrill for her. The last one was weak and spineless, no fun in killing something that barely fought back. But this guy! He knew how to have fun! Dawnstar was pumped, her blood was flowing, and the pain was just another trigger for her adrenaline to kick in. This adrenaline junky seemed to have a terrifying amount of it.
As she felt her world sway, hind paws dancing to keep her balance, she released her bite and sheathed the claws at the tom's chest, she extended that front leg, aiming to coil it around the tom's neck as her hind legs finally gave in to gravity and she tipped sideways, attempting to drag the tom down with her. Her shoulder took the brunt of the fall, she was going to feel that later bad.
He was saying something about sharks, but she was more focused on those fangs drawing dangerously close to her face. She jerked her head to the side and at the same time endeavored to tighten the grip around his neck in a headlock, intending to direct what would have been a nasty facial wound to the muscle of her shoulder. Her hind legs coiled in close to her belly, whether he was on his side with her or standing over her, she had had some clear motivation to slam her lengthy back claws into tom's belly and churn as hard as she could. She's never gutted someone, but her claws would gouge and tear trying to make his inners fall to the ground if he didn't give her some space. The second she got what she wanted was the second she'd be back on her paws.

Well, Orangeblossom expected a blood bath but holy StarClan did things get wayyyy out of paw so quickly. Honestly, he felt a little bad for Riverclan, but it was in a pitying 'oh you look so pathetic' kind of way more so than genuine feelings. He didn't just forget everything the fish has done to his clan. This is long deserved and maybe the clan will actually learn something out of it as they obviously didn't learn anything from the last Thunderclan raid on their camp. He followed after Springlight, like a leech he was. No one is going to hurt her on his watch, no way! He followed after his herbalist as she dove into the fray and his eyes landed on a brutally injured Windclan cat. Could she even safe him? Well she seemed sure so he believed her! "Can I help?" He offered, expecting Sprout to handle guarding, this seemed like more of a two cat job than anything else.

Windclan- Warrior - 12 moons
Spots something shooting into the camp. She would instantly jump up trying to get onto the newcomers back claws unsheathed.
It was a sound plan apart from one thing, she hadn't done her scent check and this was another windclan warrior. A rookie mistake by a rookie warrior.
Fallingpaw woke but still laid un moving his ear ringed and the pain was still there and his leg was drenched in his own blood he was going to die wasn't he? he didnt want to die and he could not die he would not he tried to stand his body was wobbly and his legs were weak he looked around trying to find help and not get killed
(open)
(ThunderClan)
Dovefluff was quick to sprint to the young cat's side, letting out a soft chirp to alert him of her presence. Woozy from blood loss and adrenaline she stood protectively over him. "Hi darling, you're gonna be okay. I'm gonna keep you safe, alright, sweetie? Stay with me." She murmured gently.
It was… She did not know how to say it. But the feeling of landing square of her opponent’s back, claws digging in before furious attacks landed on a paw that appeared to be lame – her whiskers twitched, eyes finally lifting up to notice an apprentice – one that scented of herbs – a medic. Her expression darkened; so this is who Cobwebpaw tried to reach – who she couldn’t fight. Before she could say anything, the medic helplessly flailing in the corner of her eye, Sleepypaw just narrowly escaped the older apprentice’s claws ruffling through her fur as she leapt back, teeth baring. Her eyes flashed with a sudden anger, a sudden fire; they glanced over to Berrypaw – cold and uncaring.
“Run.”
She ordered before the ShadowClanner leapt back forth, mouth opening and claws raising with the intent to lock around Cobwebpaw’s scruff and – with great struggle – try to yank, pull and drag Cobwebpaw as far away from the medicine cat’s den – from Berrypaw – and into the large fray of fighting as she could; she had no intent of harming Berrypaw, she had no wish to and did not want that medic apprentice to get involved.
If she had succeeded, Sleepypaw spit Cobwebpaw’s scruff from her mind, jerking her towards the ground despite the difference in height – Cob appeared a bit taller – vibrant, piercing blue eyes once more flashing towards Berrypaw.
“Run.”
She insisted again, this time harder, more serious – less forgiving before she dashed forth again, body set to ram into Cobwebpaw and claws raised to dig into the skin of her head, intent on dragging her claws across the RiverClanner’s ear – or head, if she failed that mark – much like what Dusklion had done to her ear.
Sleepypaw hissed, wasting no time to rear up on her back legs, more wobbly than she would’ve liked, pushing through the pain of her paw as she furiously lunged forth to wrap her paws and claws around Cobwebpaw, intending to slam the apprentice into the ground. Should that succeeded, Sleepypaw would move forth, a clawed front paw reaching out to press down on the top of Cobwebpaw’s throat with little mercy, her other paw moving to deliberately dig into Cobwebpaw’s skin and dragged down to leave a long, red scar across her chest.
Sleepypaw sneered, irritated by her counters, by her inability to submit like Alpinepaw had – whiskers twitching as her stance grew rigid, frozen, fearful of her own self yet vengeful of not yet having won this fight. Of needing to win this fight. Words stuck in her throat, unable to speak, only able to – if she had the upper paw – look down at Cobwebpaw was a mix of indescribable emotions.

Her foe was dead. They're all still a threat until they're dead. Supposedly blind gaze flitted around the battlefield, landing on Springlight [ @iliri ] tending to a mauled WindClanner [ @glitch ]. Stalking over to them, not caring that her maw, chest, and paws were likely covered in blood, the former Medicine Cat walked alongside the dilute calico for a moment. Just to deliver her words. "I trust you have a handle on patching him. If you do not, you're free to send someone to fetch me ; Dawnstar and Twilightstar have put me in charge of aiding the WindClanners, but since you're already doing it I will not intervene in this one."
Her gaze darted towards a certain brawl - Sleepypaw [ @Estelle ] fighting a RiverClanner [ @finley !! ] - and narrowed with deadly precision. "I have another matter to attend to." She grinned, fangs crimson with blood. "Excuse me." She said simply, and then melted into the shadows.
The shadows were her friends, her companion, her state of being as Lostspark slunk closer, her gait slow and measured. Sleepypaw seemed to have it under control, but Lostspark could not help but be drawn to their fight, her motherly instincts on high alert. One paw landed on her daughter was all it would take for her to snap.
Steps leisurely, Lostspark was only sidetracked from the cats she'd locked onto when an orange ball of fluff barreled into her side, bringing her out of her shadows. An irritated snarl worked its way out of her throat as she swiveled, unsheathed claws coming down hard against the warrior's head and slamming them into the ground, claws digging into the side of their face as she held them down, drawing beads of blood. "You chose the wrong cat to pick a fight with, goldfish." She murmured, voice a low croon near their ear, and then sank her jaws into their pulse point.
Dead within moments, just how she preferred, and then Lostspark was back on the prowl, melding with her surroundings again. The former Medicine Cat, supposedly meant to be blind as a bat, walked up silently behind Berrypaw [ @squidz ], her blood-speckled fangs bared in a ... was it meant to be an amused smile? "Hello, darling. Enjoying the view? I would suggest not engaging, else I'll have to hurt you too." She whispered, head cocked to the side as she came to a stop, having relieved herself of her shadowy cloak.

small & nimble dark brown she-cat with darker flecks and light, leafy-green eyes | the collector
Berrypaw was frozen in fear, as if her blood had turned into ice, from the second that Sleepypaw repeated herself.
Run.
Truth be told, it was all she wanted to do — it's all she had done this entire time. And it was what she did best. Blood roared in the medicine cat's ears as her heart thudded against her chest — panicking, reeling, not giving her a moment to catch her breath as she knew she was completely and utterly helpless.
Run.
She had to. She had to run away, get far from this mess...
But... no, she had to do something, right? For the first time in several anxious moments, a clear thought came to mind: she could be a distraction. Yeah... she could be good at that. Just launch herself mindlessly at Sleepypaw, just to give enough time for Cobwebpaw to wriggle out of the iron grip? She'd gladly take the claws in place of her beaten friend; this was too much to watch.
"N-No... I won't... run!" Berrypaw insisted, gritting her teeth as she tried to summon up every ounce of courage in her tiny body, a task that was like trying to cut a whole tree down with one kit's claws. But she had to do... something...!
But that was when something like cold fear suddenly drenched Berrypaw, as if she'd been suddenly dunked under freezing water. A shudder ran down her entire small body as she froze once more, breath hitching in her throat as the presence of someone — something...? — seemed to manifest out of thin air behind her. Dread settled like a stone in her stomach; she dared not move a whisker as the menacing presence slowly leaned its maw near her ears, whispering words that simultaneously sounded smooth and biting, like being prodded with a velvety thorn.
"Hello, darling. Enjoying the view? I would suggest not engaging, else I'll have to hurt you too."
Berrypaw's blood had turned to ice once more, only a choked gasp leaving her throat as her lungs screamed for air. She was afraid to even breathe in, everything around her feeling so dark and terrifying simply for the unknown of who it was over her shoulder.
"I..." She tried to get something, anything out, but it was nearly impossible from her throat, self-constricted by her overwhelming sense of danger. Try again... "P-Please, don't do this..."
Run. Run. Run.
But she was also stuck in place... knowing that the second she moved, whoever this was behind her may as well clamp her jaws around Berry's neck. The medic was left to impossibly stare at the scene before her, utterly helpless to watch as her friend was torn apart in front of her. Silent tears streamed down the young cat's cheeks, a mental war only betrayed by the look of sheer horror on her face.

a scarred dark blueish grey cat with minimal white markings and grey eyes
rookpaw almost couldnt believe her eyes when she turned to snap up at whoever had ripped her off fishscale, eaglepaw, in the flesh and almost exactly like rook had remembered her. breath caught in her throat, she hit the ground sideways, choking off the instinctive snarl she had attempted to throw the other cats way. the calculated silence in her mind was broken, panicked thoughts crashing down on the apprentice like salty waves on an especially stormy day. no no no this was meant to happen, she was to avoid any semblance of cats she knew. this was not the plan. rookpaw felt the confidence that had previously radiated from blood soaked pelt and bared fangs die down, leaving her a bit shaky as she made a half hearted attempt at snapping at the other apprentice. "get away" she chocked out in response to eaglepaws yelling, barely putting half the effort in actually pushing the other apprentice away, still too stunned that this was actually happening. rook was aware she'd have to put more effort in actually getting them off, eagle looked worse than when rook left, a bit bigger due to age, but in contrast to rook herself who had grown into her lanky form, the riverclanner looked skinny and behind the wild spark in her green eyes, tired. when eaglepaw lashed out rookpaw avoided claws, dim light making them stand out, light claws infront of dark clouds, and closed her jaws around the first thing she could reach, that being the other apprentices leg. as she felt eaglepaws claws pierce her flesh she continued to squirm under the apprentice, lostsparks words came back to remind her of the options she now had, rip her own blood stained claws through eaglepaws soft stomach, kick out to get her to move, but when it actually came to acting rookpaw lifted a paw, slamming it down on eaglepaws maw and using the surprise to push her former friend off.
sides heaving with every breath, this didnt have to happen!, she exposed the very fangs that had ripped the life out of honeypaws body just moments ago, a snarp growl sent eaglepaws way when blood stained, white tipped ears caught another sound. she turned her head and oh. it was too late for the apprentice to even make a move to get out of the way, instead fadingsun pushed her away from eaglepaw, which honestly she was grateful for, and she skidded a bit along the dusty ground before regaining balance. the flaming anger she had felt burn in her gut until now had died down, a wave of ice cold fear replacing most of what had driven her to harm and kill. rookpaw attempted to step back, bring distance between herself and fadingsun, striped, bloodied tail lashing behind. there was no way she'd have a chance against the far older warrior, especially if hed gotten his lives already, but rook parted her jaws into a snarl nonetheless.
[the timeline is very unstable on this one this takes place AFTER micas post but both take place BEFORE fadingsuns last one]
[i hope this makes any sense at all lol]
"Minkpaw," he spat, eyes blazing with fear. "I never knew you were such a fox-hearted degenerate. Killing children? Well, if that's the game you want to play, then let's play."
[ pp perms provided by alec ]
Fadingstar sprang at Rookpaw with determination. The big part of him that had been trying to suppress his dark side stepped aside willingly for this opportunity. No mercy needed to be shown to a cat who was unjustifiably raiding their camp, attacking and killing children.
Claws dug into Rookpaw's side as Fadingstar shoved her back and slammed her into the ground. Leering over her, he roared with fury as he reared back and then brought his whole weight down onto her left shoulder as hard as he could.
He was so blinded by rage that if Rookpaw cried out, he didn't hear it. All he was listening for was one, distinctive sound.
Not hearing it on the first attempt, he decided to try again. Rearing back on his hind legs once more, he shot forward with all the might in his soul. His paws slammed into Rookpaw's shoulder, and he heard a sharp crack!
That wasn't enough for him, however. If Rookpaw was going to come in here and do what she did, she needed something to remind her of who she was messing with. Fadingstar was tired of RiverClan being pushed around, spit at and treated like rogues when these cats were no better.
All of the frustration and anger he'd been holding over the past few moons came out as he lashed out at Rookpaw once more. He bit hard into her now-broken shoulder and tore with all his might, feeling flesh rip free and blood splatter against his neck.
Bringing his claws up, he tore into her left ear with fury, slicing it again and again until all that was left was a bloody, shredded mess. Then, he pressed his paws down into her wounded shoulder, curling his lips back into a snarl.
"Whenever you look at yourself, I hope that ear reminds you that you're nothing more than a fox-hearted traitor and a coward. I know whenever RiverClan cats look at you, that's all they'll ever see. A pathetic excuse for a cat. You're lucky I'm letting you live. You deserve to be in the ground for what you've done, and I swear to the stars that if you ever touch a hair on another RiverClan cat's pelt, I will hunt you down and see to it that you're sent to the grave. You disgust me."
Hearing her Clanmate speak about revenge when that was a dream for nothing but the far future had Cinderflare shaking her head. "We're wasting time and energy thinking about that now. Right now, protecting our Clanmates and doing what we can is what we should be focusing on."
She shifted towards Berrypaw; the young cat was in no position to be left without guards, and the gray warrior would see to it that she always had at least one- or two, if Stagheart was as courageous as he initially seemed. Turning her eyes back toward the other warrior, she said, "Come on! We need to keep our asses stuck to Berrypaw like honey. She's in no place to be on her own!"

Rabbitpaw watched cautiously as the other apprentice stumbled back up onto their paws and he almost felt a little sorry for them but quickly shook that away. They were just hurting Vinepaw, and his clan, they're Riverclan after all! No feeling sorry. The...baring of fangs at him looked more like a grimace than anything scary. Rabbitpaw mimicked, flashing his fangs with a sharp hiss, his fur puffing up further. The swing at his face caught him off guard, especially as it was on his blind side, the blood from his ear has long since fallen into his eye and there left him blinded in one side for the time. He barely managed to pull away in time and even then he still got nicked across his nose and he winced. Though recovered quickly, he shot forward, aiming to use a sudden leap forward and the Riverclan apprentice's close proximity, to try and push the Riverclan apprentice down and pin them. If it worked, he honestly didn't know what he would do. "Just run away!!" He screamed in light desperation.

Dewpaw had only a second to react, her heart pounding. She needed to think of something.. ANYTHING!! So she reared up, outstretching her front paws to get some good scratches in. As soon as she was pinned, she would attempt to dig her claws into his head to hold him in place. She would then headbutt him with all her might, hoping to disorientate him.

A growl in her throat as she planned her attack. Planned it too long, she was suddenly rolling, not the best strategy for sure. She would jump back getting a few tail lengths between them before frowning "Mouse Dung!" She exclaimed.
"You fox hearts trying to confuse us by smelling like us! Wait... This isn't my camp!" She would growl "it's your's and I'm showing you the exit" she hissed advancing and swiping her claws towards his face.
