she gave a slow nod "its alright...it isnt your fault..." her eyes looked clouded over with grief...despite being blind in one eye both showed her upsetness. "are we training today?" she looked up at the she-cat she would be calling her mentor. training would help...maybe...depends.
((sad little gall. her eyesight is garbage.))

Dovedance
ShadowClan Warrior
Dovedance gave Lostpaw's ear a comforting lick.
''You're beautiful,'' She purred warmly. ''And don't you ever forget that. It's not how you look that matters, Lostpaw, whether half-blind or not. It's your personality that does, and I don't think toms understand that these days.''
Standing up, Dovedance brushed her tail across Lostpaw's shoulder in a comforting gesture.
The dappled warrior turned to her apprentice, amber gaze warm.
''Is that what you'd like to do today?''

Shadowrise, a dappled dark blue-gray she-cat with amber eyes, padded over to Thornclaw and sat beside him.
''Is something wrong, Thornclaw?''

Thornclaw turned his head towards shadow rise, was he hallucinating or dreaming? Either one he shook his head”no I was uh just listening, I don’t like to talk during meetings unless I’m being addressed to or being interacted ” he replied

LostPaw
"starclan wanted me...yet you refused me!"
"uhm...y-yea...training now would help me a little more." she looked up at dovedance and smiled a little. "and...t-thank you for saying that....i think i'll work a little more harder" she lifted her tail just a little and smiled brightly.
Dawnstar was moving quickly through the general meeting business, perhaps because she had a desire, or a need, to move on to more salacious news. Perhaps they were about to start a war, or something. It would be par for her general course, and while Shrewstep didn't particularly fall into the War Hawks camp, they could be exciting. Shocking, really, how having almost no one left to lose opened up your mind. There wasn't anyone he had to protect anymore, he'd already failed, so why bother worrying? None of his clanmates were important to him anymore.
Although, Dawnstar seemed to have other ideas. He had scarcely finished cheering the new apprentices Glowingpaw! Littlepaw! Flamepaw! Eaglepaw! Spiderpaw! along with everyone else when he was given an apprentice. A reassignment, not a fresh one, but something of an honor nonetheless. Although given how quickly cats seemed to disappear, it was hardly a surprise. Reassignments were a normal thing, and few were the apprentices who made it through without one. He'd received three mentors, though the only one that had really counted in his mind was the second, Driftstep. Although that much might be inferred from his name, which had been taken partially in her honor.
He doubted Ibispaw would have any such impression of him, especially once he was able to spot her on the far side of the clearing. She hadn't come running to greet him which was reasonable enough, and seemed to be more towards the quite watchfulness end of the spectrum. Probably a safe place to be if you didn't fall into the 'classic Shadowclan' school of things. Shrewstep had certainly used that tactic for a while, though less so now. Again, no point. Dawnstar had also probably, if not forgotten fully, gone a bit hazy on the details of the early rebellion to her rule. After all, the main orchestrators were long dead, Blackhaze included, or gone.
Regardless of his internal thoughts, it wouldn't do to not at least approach Ibispaw and offer a greeting. This in mind, Shrewstep clambered to his feet (not that there was far to get up, he was quite short) and wove his way through the gathered crowd. Small size was for once an asset. Settling down a short distance away rather than crowding any personal space she might guard, he mewed Hello Ibispaw. It's nice to meet you. in a well meaning, if rather nonsensical, greeting. @Nixey

Dreamingbloom listened as her clanmates called out the new apprentices’ names, and her face brightened as Cougarbite was named an apprentice. Her tail flicked excitedly as she heard her friend Batflight say she was going to go talk to someone, and she nodded as they clambered clumsily to congratulate Pearnose. “Have a good time!” The scarred molly chirped after Batflight, glancing around to see if Cougarbite was there. Dreamingbloom rose to her paws to call out the new apprentices again, stomping her paws on the ground to add a touch of emotion and pride. She was proud, though she had no role in their lives.

(my lady needs training- i forgot how old she is)
Dovedance

Dovedance nodded, understanding what her apprentice meant.
She looked at Lostpaw through friendly amber eyes.
''Alright, we'll head towards Icy Heartlands for today, and we'll practice combat training. Hunting isn't really much use there, unless you wish to catch frogs,'' Dovedance purred warmly, her whiskers twitching in amusement.
The warrior whisked her tail and started towards the camp entrance, looking back to see if Lostpaw was following her.

Cougarbite sat up straighter, and searched his gaze towards his apprentice, Glowingpaw ( @dino. )
When he found the apprentice, he approached him and said "hey, i'm cougarbite, you're mentor."
The first of his siblings to receive their ceremonies - at least, the first of the two who still remained, including himself. Surely that had to count for something.
Glowingpaw turned to find Cougarbite already approaching. "I want to get started immediately." No point in sitting through the rest of the meeting, he had things to do. "What's first?"

My Mood:
Re: The Shadowledge
Pearnose's ears perked at the sound of her best friends voice. She turned to meet the gaze of Batflight. The black she-cat was in a cheerful mood, naturally. Of course she was a mentor too. Batflight was always much more helpful and a much better mentor. Despite her bad mood and insecurities about being a mentor, Batflight made her feel a little better. At least she and her friend could spend time together.
"Yeah. I'd like that. We should get together and train our apprentices." Pearnose responded, trying her best to cheer up, although she couldn't shake away the lingering anxieties about being a mentor.
