Riverclan territory? Flintclaw knew his paws were firmly on Thunderclan land... oh, but Vixenclaw probably did weave between thunderclan and riverclan territory to get to where they were, now. That would make sense.
Flintclaw might've said something about it, but Bumblestar had appeared at his side. Good, she was pissed. As she should be. Flintclaw glared at the pair, but did not interrupt his leader. Bumblestar would acknowledge him if she needed anything from him. Instead, he would make sure that they didn't try anything funny... and that the deputy across the border stayed dealing with his own business.
In otherwords, Flintclaw was satisfied with being a glorified bodyguard. At least for the time being.
Brown and White Tabby with Green Eyes - She/Her - 31 Moons - ThunderClan
Pineblossom appeared out of the bushes, her eyes narrowed like slits. She saw Bumblestar, and Sunheart, RiverClan's Deputy, both staring at what Pineblossom knew she could smell. A ShadowClanner.
She stalked closer to the scene, standing next to Flintclaw and Bumblestar, gazing furiously at the cats in front of them. Her fur was poofed out on her neck, making her look more regal and pissed than anything. "How did a ShadowClanner wind up on our border with RiverClan," the she-cat hissed.

"Bumblestar." Fallentalon instantly Sheathed his claws and backed down. "Bumblestar please hear me out-" how could he explain this. "V-Vixenclaw is exspecting kits and she didn't want them to be born in shadowclan.. she-she wanted to join and-" too many words... shut up Fallentalon!

A ShadowClan warrior, on the RiverClan border, with her ThunderClan mate. She'd been itching for something to sink her claws into, and look! Right there, two perfect targets ripe for the picking. Bumblestar dropped from the branches above the group and landed next to Flintclaw, baring her teeth at Fallentalon. Ooh, company. Pretty Boy over there could handle the ShadowClanner. Right now she wanted to speak to her own warrior.
"Claws down," she spat at Fallentalon. "Start talking. Or you'll fare much worse than the exile you've earned yourself today."

If more cats kept flocking to her border, she was gonna start slitting throats.
Owlstar padded cooly out into the border, the stench of Thunderclan and Shadowclan stinging her nose. She could tell only one other Riverclan cat was amongst them, and she hoped they were praying they weren't causing any trouble. But no, it was Sunheart. A bit of Owlstar's fury ebbed away to make room for relief at seeing her deputy stand as strong and commanding as she knew him to be.
She unsheathed her blood stained claws and yowled, her one eyed gaze dancing along each cat who wasn't her own, still on their respective side (except for the Shadowclan cat, who just flat out didn't belong here). Ah, Bumblestar was here. But, most of all, her gaze lingered onto the Shadowclan warrior. They'd better be thankful Dawnstar wasn't present, seeing the she-cat seemingly have a secret relationship with a Thunderclan warrior. Owlstar smiled at them, but it was more of a grimace to showcase her teeth.
"I doubt Dawnstar er Mistlewhisker would take ya back. N' if they did, they'd bring ya in pieces." Didn't matter though, Owlstar would do that herself if she had to. She squared her shoulders, ready to spring. Swollen belly or not, a mother with such a lack of sense would do no good for her children anyways.
The calico followed his leader silently, stalking and keeping an eye out behind just in case this was a surprise attack. Poorly planned, but still either way he could never be too ready.
However. After listening to what exactly was happening for a while, and deciding they were just stupid, the deputy made his way out from his hiding spot. Ears angled forwards, tail lightly flicking back and fourth. Keeping his eyes on Owlstar as she too strode forwards. Spiderthroat met her stride with ease.
He kept his eyes trained on the RiverClan leader. A hint of malice danced around in his gaze, as an ear was turned towards the two idiots and his own leader. He'd barely registered the new RiverClan deputy being there. There was no point in remembering their name, they'll change swiftly enough. RiverClan had trouble keeping tabs on their High Ranks.
"These all just sound like half baked excuses in an attempt to keep your head." he stated gruffly. He hadn't fully looked away yet, eyes flicking over to the stupid duo trying to sneak around before once again keeping eye contact. "I ain't seein why your worth keepin alive at this point. Seein as you decided bringin a ShadowClanner straight to ThunderClan territory, an even considerin showin her the camp. Where we live." a pause "If you lot manage to somehow stay alive, be spared, somethin along those lines. Your kits will be killed for simply bein alive." He said to the pair of idiot parents. His gaze only shifting for a moment.
He didn't care about those two ultimately. It was the Fish leader and her scaly deputy he wanted to keep an eye on. Any moment is an opportunity if one isn't careful enough. He refused for this to be an opportunity for RiverClan.

Oh. No answer about whether she was excited or not. That was okay! Maybe Smokepaw wasn’t very talkative! Maybe she doesn’t like me! Nope. None of that from Flowerhawk’s brain today. She walked her apprentice through marking the border, and even though it had been marked recently by the last patrol here, asked, “Do you wanna try?” She let Smokepaw decide while she thought about the next place they should go.

Smokepaw gave a tiny nod. I'd really like to learn hunting though! She mewed. Mistlepaw and I were going to practice hunting moves, but we don't know any.
Oh, hunting! They could make that work. Flowerhawk had been planning to take Smokepaw to see all the borders, but if she wanted to hunt, that was alright, too. She probably wouldn’t be able to get Blackbirdwing off her mind while doing it, but that was okay. It would help to make different memories here, she told herself. Smallpines was a good enough place for hunting anyway. But where to start? She tried to remember how her mentor had started her off, but it’d been a good nineteen moons since then, and that part of her brain was full of cobwebs. No luck, so she thought about the way she hunted. The first step? Locate prey. That’s where she was gonna start.
“First thing you gotta do is locate prey,” Flowerhawk told her apprentice. “You’ll do that by scent mostly, but sound and sight help too!” She paused, thinking about how to go about this next. Was Smokepaw ready to just go? Probably so. She seemed competent enough. “Sniff the air, open your mouth—your jaws, whatever—and tell me what you smell. Don’t be discour…discouraged if you can’t differ…diff—screw it, if you can’t tell what you’re smelling. Get what I mean?”
[ aaa hi i'm alive sorry for the delay and how short this is!! things are a tad crazy atm i'm trying to keep up dfksjl ]
Batmist
thc warrior | he/him | rosetted white tom with clouded eyes
Batmist's nose twitched as the group approached the border, already bracing for the stench of RiverClan. It seemed this patrol would not be a chatty one, and frankly Batmist was glad. He wasn't in the mood for small talk.
He hummed at Mountaintalon's warning, taking extra caution as he approached the border. As he did so the scent grew sharp and... strange. The tom furrowed his brow, confused for a second, when Mountaintalon's yowl of 'Watch it!' rang out and something large slammed against him.
Batmist gasped as his back slammed against the ground, sharp claws ripping into his shoulder and dragging him. He kicked up at the assailants stomach, claws scrabbling against slick fur.
Alpinemoon - where the hell had the warrior gone? Mountaintalon could see no sight of her as he aimed a heavy swipe at the creature trying to haul him toward the water. His paw connected with the side of its head and sent it sprawling backwards, furious chatters spilling from its jaws. "ALPINEMOON!" The roar tore itself from his throat in a hopeful bid to draw the warrior back from wherever she had gone off to. They needed her help, dammit!
With his otter slinking back toward the water, Mountaintalon used the momentary break to rush for Batmist, sink his teeth into the back of the otter's neck, and haul the beast off. "Get back to camp!" he snarled around a mouthful of oily fur. "I'll keep them here!" Couldn't let anyone know what was lurking on their borders if they were all dead.
