I find no point in dabbling about it any longer. My opinion won't change, and aren't we all missing something here? Ah, yes, perhaps I should go tell one of the queens that "Sedgekit" is missing! Moonbirch laughed and smirked. What I do believe to be true might as well be facts. Dawnstar has done nothing but hurt the cats in this clan and our worth as proud warriors, who's to say we can trust whatever her next "great" idea will be? Moonbirch growled bitterly. After going down this road, he was bound to notice all the negatives.

Embershadow frowned. The intricate words that Sedgeshade was using was beginning to get on his nerves. What did nuanced even mean? It sounded made up. His expression deepened into a scowl as the tom went on. "I'm not a prophecy cat, I'm speaking my opinion. Too many cats nowadays don't do that." What a joke. A prophecy cat. Yes, the tom was really starting to annoy him. "And I could care less about my head!"

As Moonbirch spoke up, he couldn't resist a short burst of laughter. Another sarcastic pessimist. That made three. He was relieved that the she-cat seemed to share his thoughts. It would be too easy for her to turn him in to Dawnstar in return for her respect. Whatever that was worth these days. "Exactly what I'm saying," Embershadow grunted, with an approving nod toward Moonbirch. @Meeklein @thamnophis

Moonbirch smiled and nodded. If anything a prophecy cat takes their power for granted. They're always acting above us because Starclan speaks through them. Please! Like it really exists! I've lost too much to even think it's their will, it's simply karma. Oh, and Embershadow? You have an excellent head. Moonbirch laughed.

“Clever.” The grating word his only response to Moonbirch, the tom apparently finding her asinine insults stupid enough not to be worth much more than a dry, offhand remark. The strange inability of his clanmates to acknowledge that it wasn’t simply Embershadow and the molly sharing the same opinion, however, that was something Sedgeshade was looking to touch on. “I have no clue why you assumed anyone is trying to convince you otherwise, though. Unless I’m the sorely mistaken one, that is.”
Certainly he didn’t feel annoyed being the odd one out in a group of cats with the exact same thoughts, not at all! Never! Not one bit. Perhaps a bit, though most of his desire to question it stemmed from wanting to comprehend why the simple, sarcastic comment was such a large focus. The deep inhale signified absolutely nothing good, Sedgeshade obviously preparing for something large and letting the words tumble from his mouth in a bone-dry, but incredibly hushed tone. “Moonbirch, for simplicity’s sake, what I said meant that I agree with you and hadn’t expected your opinion to be so well-worded; it was a backhanded compliment, as I hadn’t expected anything smart to come from your mouth.” The lack of unnecessary aggression was appreciated, but it was doubtful the new, blunt rudeness would win the tom any friends either. “Embershadow, I think you’ve been absurdly lucky with the cats you find to talk to, and attempted something widely known as ‘sarcasm’ to comment on how I don’t much desire to be roped into that. In spite of your decent picks so far, I don’t think you’re infallable and still feel I have cause for concern with your recklessness as clearly you are not a storytime prophecy cat. There are interesting parts of conversations with you and I do not want you to face dire consequences, I’m strange like that and don’t challenge danger as a hobby. Additionally, I do not want myself to face dire consequences by simply being around you. Better?”
A complete lack of inflection was surprising, considering how long the warrior’s slightly demeaning attempt at explaining ended up being. Bile, yes, the cream cat’s words almost always carried it, but any enunciation was dropped entirely once Sedgeshade realized he had to spell it out in order to actually involve himself in the more important side of the conversation. More sarcasm probably wasn’t the most effective way to clear the air, but while he wanted to safely get into discussions about Dawnstar, he didn’t want it enough to make any attempt to be pleasant.

Hmph, fair... but I desire something much more than the acknowledgment of my awe inspiring wordplay. Whatever that was supposed to mean... Regardless, now that we've had this conversation, I do believe we should get out of here and train or some "Be better" junk. Preferably before Dawnstar rips off my tail again and scrabbles my fur.

The other day had been the day Puffinpaw had been waiting for.. being assigned a mentor. His patience as a kit was paying off! Finally he could work up the ranks.. warrior.. deputy.. maybe even leader? Although even Puffinpaw knew that wasn't possible, he expected Dawnstar to led far past the age he could even think of being leader. But alas, he waited in the clearing for a while and.. nothing. They were suppose to have a meeting today.
Puffinpaw rolled his eyes, Maybe I was too early.. I should go check to see if this mentor of mine is awake. He though as he trotted over to the warriors den. He hadn't really seen this den before and he wasn't really trying to until he became a warrior. He peered it and called but it was more of a scared whisper "Poisonpetal? You in here?" He had always been taught to never be near the warriors den so he was a bit anxious being near it. Surely the stories the queens told him weren't true right? Right?

Poisonpetal's ears twitched at the sound of his name in the air, waking him him from his dreadfully light doze. His head quickly snapped up, an insult on his tongue, ready to be thrown at whoever had decided to disturb him until his eyes landed on Puffinpaw.
Anything harsh he might have said quickly died in his throat. The words were already forming on his lips, so he coughed to cover up his initial reaction as he rose from his nest and turned his attention to the apprentice.
"I am. I suppose you've come to ask me about training."
It wasn't a question. The two had barely a moment to become acquainted when he'd first been assigned to Poisonpetal. They weren't close and he doubted the younger cat would come to him for much else.
"Allow me some time to wake up properly and we can see to it."
It wouldn't take long, just enough time to allow his brain to catch up with the rest of him, but he'd also prefer the apprentice not see him in any state less than his carefully put together appearance.

Puffinpaw bounced back a little bit at Poisonpetal's quick snap. He backed away a little with a slightly confused yet surprised look. So this who i'm going to be dealing with.. greeat. He thought. "Y-Yep! I just want to get finished with this apprenticeship.. like every other apprentice my age." Despite Puffinpaw's patience he was in no mood to be dealing with this for long. Just appear friendly... just appear friendly and he won't hate you. He thought anxiously. "Sure! Take all the time you need." Puffinpaw turned around and took a breather, this would be a long apprenticeship.

Whitewater was a bit bored today, he decided he would beat his boredom by doing some basic clean-up on his nest.

Clovernose padded into the den, ducking to get in because of his large frame. He’d perk his ears as he hears Whitewater in his nest, he seemed to be cleaning? Clovernose walked over slower to get a closer look.
