Littlepaw scampered over the Galewood, late, but here! The calico settled into a spot beneath the meeting point, towards the edge of the gathered cats. She'd watch as kittens and apprentices lined up and knew that her time would come soon! Hopefully in the next meeting. She really needed to finish her training and push for her assessment. She was sure Dustbunny would be excited to have one less apprentice and she could help with the tunneling training soon! She was already helping Windpaw!
Still, while her mind ran rampant, her tail swished behind her as she watched and listened. A toy to anyone young enough, but an annoyance for anyone was who too close.

When she felt like she'd been on the ground for enough, she lifted off the ground with a drawn out groan, staring at the cat that had approached her through half-lidded eyes. But when she fully came to herself and took notice of who was standing before her, her eyes shot open and her expression instantly brightened.
"Hey, hi! Of course not, feel free!" But before Windpaw could say anymore, somebody else had came up to her. Wow, was she that popular or was her fall really just embarrassing? Either way, she had more cats than usual come up to her, which meant more friends! Windpaw opened her mouth to speak, but the other apprentice -- Gracklepaw -- had stopped talking, attention grabbed by something else. Something more important than two random she-cats he hadn't talk to before, probably. With a warm smile, the she-cat waved her tail as Gracklepaw went away. Perhaps they'd have an opportunity to speak again one day.
"See ya! It was, uh, nice meeting you for the ten seconds we've met!" Windpaw called after the grey-furred tom. She then turned to Spottedpaw with a bright smile. "So! How's life been treating you lately? It's just beginning to get warmer, which is something to look forward to, no?"

Ashpaw approached the meeting. Very soon, he’d get to become a warrior too! But it wasn’t for today. However, when he heard that Applepaw was shot to become a warrior, his ears perked up. Searching for her before she went next to kits about to become apprentices, he made his way to Applepaw. “Congrats!” he slipped into her ear, forgetting to check if she had seen him first.

Yoo! He'd just seen that girl go splat, hah!
Gracklepaw trotted over, grinning as he stopped at Windpaw's side. The she-cat still seemed content to lie facedown in the dirt. "Hey! Couldn't help but see that tumble... it was pretty good wipeout," he chuckled, his voice kind despite the teasing nature of it. If anything, he almost sounded admiring of the fall rather than condescending; perhaps he'd enjoyed her energy.
If Windpaw would accept the friendly nudge in greeting, Gracks would help her to her paws, flashing a charming grin at her and her sister. "I'm Gracklepaw, by the way! What's your—"
But the stocky tom trailed off, seeing his father approach the Galewood. He had that... look on his face, that Gracklepaw had seen before. Lost and in his own mind. Frowning, the cheery apprentice's face fell a bit, a flicker of concern. Despite all his boisterous energy, the kid had a big heart, and could tell his father was dwelling deeply on... well, probably Crowpaw. It sent a pang through Gracklepaw's heart.
In a rare moment, the charismatic 'paw had lost everything he was going to say.
Realizing he'd gone quiet in the middle of a sentence, Gracklepaw suddenly cleared his throat, turning back to the two she-cats. He gave them another smile, though this one was a bit more somber, glossing over it as if he hadn't totally dropped his usual finesse.
"Er... sorry, I've actually gotta go, uh... tell my Pa somethin'. But I'll talk to later if ya want, yeah?" Maybe he'd share some fresh-kill with the she-cats if they wanted; he was friendly, and wanted to get to know more of his Clanmates, but... his mind was a bit preoccupied at the moment, and he knew proper introductions would have to wait.
Flashing his teeth and dipping his head in farewell, Gracks kept up his normal trot until he reached his father's side. He'd really wanted to talk to some new friends, but... couldn't let Hawkfur stew like this. If he were honest, Gracklepaw often got similar thoughts, though his insurmountable optimism often kept them pushed to the back of his mind (until he tried to sleep at night, that is. It was a little colder without Crowpaw in his nest. He still changed the bedding for him).
"...Heya, Pa." Gracklepaw slid up beside his father, letting his flank brush his. He was still considerably shorter, though his broad shoulders and muscular legs promised that he'd be growing all the more everyday. He tilted up his head, giving his father one of those trademark grins, though a keen eye may catch the flicker of mutual somberness in his deep blues. It didn't take a genius to know who his father was dwelling on. Gracks just hoped his presence might disrupt some of the noise in Hawkfur's head. It wasn't the first time he'd seen his father sort of space out...

Lost in his thoughts as always, Hawkfur didn't notice his son approach him until Gracklepaw's pelt pressed against his own. The Fury looked down, the clouds in his eyes clearing slightly. "Hey, mate. How's it going?" One of the worst things about Crowpaw's disappearance was knowing his children had to be suffering horribly. Hawkfur knew well the feeling of siblings disappearing, and it consumed you from the inside out. The tom looked up and around, searching for his daughter. He'd like them to all be together, if possible. His talk with Vinesmoke had helped gather his resolve to not hide away from them any longer. He was a little ashamed it took talking with a practical stranger to realize it, but hadn't that been how he realized most important things in his life?
While looking, Hawkfur noticed a young molly staring quizically after Gracklepaw, as though he had come from sitting with them. Something twisted in Hawkfur's chest, and he pulled away to look down at the tom that was very nearly his height. He had always been the tallest of the three. "Mate... You didn't have to come sit with me." His soft features held infinite affection, tail coming to curl over his son's. "You're just a kid. Make friends, have fun. You don't need to be taking care of your old man." But then Hawkfur leaned over to set his chin upon Gracklepaw's forehead, letting it rest there for a moment, his eyes closed. "But if being near me is what you need, mate, then I'm here."

Spottedpaw slowly blinked before she realized that she was the one being talked to. It was strange to hear another cat speak to her in a flirty way.Or was it flirting? She wasn't sure but charming smiles usually meant something. She decided to say something depressing instead of her name but before she could actually open up her maw the apprentice was gone. "How strange... Is our clan usually like this? Jumping around like a rabbit?" She said looking to her sister. Then her eyes moved over to see who this Gracklepaw was caught up with and seeing such a sad look in his eyes made her wonder.. They seemed to be with someone that looked like a parent. Such sadness reminded of her with her mother Firestorm. Where had that shecat ever gone off to? It was original Spottedpaw who wanted to leave the clan but there goes her mother disappearing.
Maybe she should take the time to go and talk to Gracklepaw.

Gracklepaw had followed his father's gaze, seeing both she-cats giving him a curious glance after his rapid departure. It'd been much unlike the charismatic tom to leave without so much as hearing their names, but... he'd just make up for it later. He shook his head, giving Hawkfur one of his trademark, toothy grins — though it held a tinge of bittersweetness to it.
"I wanna be with you right now, Pa," the apprentice assured, giving a firm nod as if cementing his claim. "I don't need to take care of you, anyhow! You're a Fury... one of WindClan's best! The strongest cat I know... you 'n Uncle Crow." He gave his father a nudge with a broad shoulder, a lighthearted chuckle behind his words.
But when Hawkfur said he'd be there for him, Gracklepaw's blue gaze softened, and he nodded with a faint purr. "Yeah... this is good," the 'paw muttered, seeming to take comfort in the tender gesture. His head nuzzled the underside of Hawkfur's muzzle, going quiet again once Twilightstar began the ceremonies. He felt a prickle down his spine when the apprentices were called; today would be their warrior ceremony. Someday, his would come... and he'd be up there, too!
With Egretpaw, and... and...
Crowpaw would come back. They'd find him. They would... even if Grackle had to go out and find him himself.
His chin dropped to Hawkfur's shoulder, content to rest it there, his gaze growing distant in thought.

Noticing that the bigger tom made eye contact with her, Spottedpaw quickly looked away and back to her sister. How has she been doing? Stars she wished that she could just stop thinking, maybe then she wouldn't feel so bad.. But with how much cheer was in Windpaw's eye, it stabbed Spottedpaw in the heart to say how she truly felt about the world and life. Plus who would want to stick around a sad sack of a sister? She needed to dull her blade a little bit so she could get close to Windpaw, be there for her unlike some. She needed to play catch up. "I won't lie I have felt better..." She hummed as she look off for a brief moment. It was hard to do even a lie of omission with the sparkling eyes of Windpaw staring at her. Though soon it returned. "I finally decided enough was enough and got Berrystorm to help me touch up on things before my final assessment. Oh and I think I'm going to try to talk to Lightningstorm after this." Yeah that was what pretty much was going on in her world right now.
Littlepaw scampered over the Galewood, late, but here! The calico settled into a spot beneath the meeting point, towards the edge of the gathered cats.
