You can never trust them and their unpredictable minds!” Sorrelfrost pushed the thought away, she suddenly felt a pang of tenderness for the lonely tom. Surely just because he was born a rogue didn’t mean that he couldn’t develop warrior blood? She knew that some warriors did, in fact, come from two-leg dens and they were very robust.
Without thinking Sorrelfrost meowed, “I’m sorry that some cats aren’t very accepting in RiverClan… I’m sure that they’ll warm up at some point.” As soon as it came out, she clamped her jaw shut and waited for Blazingheart to reply with a sour retort. Sorrelfrost flicked her tail and tensed. Why did she say that? Ugh, now I just feel sick to my stomach. Now he’ll just think I’m like Reedpaw and the others!

Blazingheart was, in fact, surprised by the molly's kind words. No one in RiverClan had ever said something welcoming to him, unless they were merely putting on a guise, of course. His russet tail twitched and he dipped his head to Sorrelfrost in graciousness. "Thank you. You're actually the first to say that," he added with a mrow of amusement. He remembered how the younger cats used to talk about him behind his back, also, he was superior to them pertaining to rank. Pertaining to the way the blood ran through his veins... well, he didn't see a difference, but it seemed to matter a lot to all the other cats... It nearly made him frown, but since it would seem out of context if he didn't voice his thoughts, he decided to keep his reaction rather subtle. He sat down near the edge of the river and looked down into the water, seeing little minnows swim by. They should have made him happy, but all it did was remind him of the family he left behind. He winced as images of his mate and son flooded into his mind, and he had to forcefully shove them back into his mind so that he didn't seem like he was daydreaming and ignoring Sorrelfrost.
Quickly the tom snapped back to reality, eagerly awaiting the molly's response, although he himself couldn't think of many ways the conversation would be able to continue.

Sorrelfrost tilted her head in curiosity. So Blazingheart hadn’t taken offense at her silly comment. In return, she gave him an awkward smile and looked down at her paws, but noticing the tom’s uneasiness, Sorrelfrost flicked her ears and stepped closer. She hoped that he was all right, but to avoid conversation, she looked down at the water along with him and gazed down at the black swirl of night. She noticed that the pebbles in the river were rather shiny as they glimmered in the sun. It almost looked like stardust had been sprinkled over them as they sat still like the ground under her paws. Sorrelfrost sighed in amusement of herself and bent down to get a drink of water when suddenly a trout darted past. She sprang up like lightning and pounced down over the fish and attempted to slash at it. After a while when she didn’t feel the creature’s slippery scales between her paws, she came up for a breath of air.
Gasping, she murmured, “I almost had that one!” Then staggered to her feet and shook herself off. Only then did she realize she soaked Blazingheart in the process.

Ripplepaw snorted. She angled her ears to the mouse she had been stalking. "Look what you did!" She snapped at Marshheart. As the mouse ran back into it's burrow. "I was just joking." Her blue gaze glared at Marshheart.

"...runningpaw, please, stay alert." russetstaf tried to encourage her as they padded through the territory, his large, strong paws thundering against the ground as his tail swept through the shorter grasses penewth them with a huff. in front of them lay the river which their clan was named after, the one which sustained them. it provided food, water, protection from enemies- perhaps the river was a bit underrated when it came to the perceptions of other clans, but it really could work wonders. "here's the river now- keep your head up, alright? here, you're close to being a warrior- show me what you've got." he murmured- she wasn't here with her mentor, and the leader didn't mind filling in a bit for the day.

Blazingheart felt the water hit his pelt, but he relished it. With leaf-bare coming in fast, the leaves were already changing to their shades of dark crimson and amber - which, he did welcome, but it also meant change for the worse. When the more gelid weather came in, the water became still and freezing and eventually turned to glimmering ice. His ClanMates tried to make the best of the ice, jumping and sliding like youthful kits across it's surface. He had not been with RiverClan long enough to witness it, but when he had been able to pry some stories out of some elders, that was what he had been told. Even now, he didn't believe it, but he remembered Sun's first winter, and how he had used to slide across the frozen rivers and lakes... Thinking of that now gave him a sharp pain in his chest, and it took all he had not to turn away from Sorrelfrost and the river.
"Almost," laughed Blazingheart, trying to put his family where it was - behind him. They had chosen not to follow, no matter how much he had hoped and prayed that they would... He quickly shook off his pelt to shake off the excess drops that laid on his russet pelt. "No worse then I could do, haha."

Sorrelfrost smiled at the ground trying to appease herself, her hunting attempt brought her back from when she was known as Sorrelpaw. Jumping around carelessly in the water pretending to catch fish, those days seemed so carefree. Sorrelfrost missed them in fact, a pang of sorrow swam through her pelt, she wanted to be friends with Reedpaw again, like they had used to. When they didn't quarrel over every matter and subject. Swallowing her thoughts, Sorrelfrost shook herself off and meowed, "Since you're not on any patrol, wanna head upstream and see if there are any fish there? I don't think Russetstar sent any patrols up that way today."
While she waited for Blazingheart's reply, she looked up to see the where the sun was. Surprisingly, it was getting a bit low. How long was she out hunting? She had left at sun high. Wow! I must have really lost track of time! She thought while giving herself a mrrrow of amusement.

Re: RiverClan Territory
The warrior known as Galenose was wandering through the forest, ambling as if she were a lost kit. She had come out here to escape the displeasurement of the recent death of her friend Ghostshadow. The cause of death was unknown to her and the others. Her maw opened in a slight smile as the tabby she moved throughout the forest.
