"No, I got a splinter!" Splotchsong kept licking her paw, trying to get it out. She paid no mind to Breezekit doing her job. In fact, she hoped that the root would fall and kill her just because!

"And splinters are bad?" The gray rosetted kit asked over her shoulder, the question giving off the same innocence as her previous one. This Splotchsong sure was rude, but as she was giving out information, Breezekit could deal with it. She pushed her shoulder against the new root, but found it didn't go in as far as she liked. Maybe this warrior was bad at gauging root sizes. Breezekit let out a soft 'hmph', before going back to trying to remove some more wall roots. That had to work eventually, right?

He was clearly shaken up by being pounced on by another kit,
but was quite used to it by now.
he was really cool, so it made sense.
When the kit signed, he clearly did NOT understand.
He wasn't even paying ATTENTION.
"Hi! Hi. Hi?"
He bapped the other kit on the forehead,
huffing.
His fur was on the dirty ground.
ALL OF IT!
Well, it wasn't too bad.
He could just clean his fur.
but he wouldn't admit that.

Hm. The other kit didn't look pleased... Well, until Emberkit came, he wouldn't- couldn't- let go. The black and dark ginger tom looked up at the other kit, dark amber eyes shining faintly, maybe with tears, who knows. He signed again. 'Do you know my sister Emberkit?' When Starlingkit realised the other couldn't understand his face fell. He opened his mouth slightly, then closed it, licking his lips nervously. "I Starlingkit. You?" He eventually croaked, voice hoarse from disuse.

He announced proudly.

Starlingkit stared at Foxkit. Wait what-
They were friends now? Well, he didn't actually have any friends, besides his sister, and since she couldn't always be around for him... He now had someone else he could stick with. That was good.. Yes, yes it was.

When Foxkit announced that he would call Starlingkit Starlies, the fox-marked kit blinked. Well. That was new. He nodded slowly, then signed out, 'That's a nice name.. Foxy. Do you know any sign?' The kit probably wouldn't understand him, but it wouldn't hurt to try, would it? And besides. It would get super awkward with no interactions between them considering Starling was still holding on tightly to Foxkit.
