(For Foxtail)
Foxtail walked out into the clearing, slightly muddy due to the rain yesterday. “Pumpkinpaw?” he called. “I have Moonpaw here if you want to do some training together!”
(Moonpaw)
Moonpaw excitedly awaited Pumpkinpaw as it would be her first fighting practice as an apprentice. Her heart was racing and adrenaline poured through her small, lanky body as she sat, ready to pounce at any moment.
"YEAH!" Lotuskit purrs, enjoying herself very much, "I want you to be my mentor when I bes an apprentice! That would be the funnest thing in the world!"
(She has pretty good speaking skills, but will make a couple mistakes every once in a while)
Flamepaw smiled and let out a purr of her own, happy for the compliment Lotuskit gave and happy the kit was enjoying herself. It really all depends on what Sparrowstar says, but I hope she becomes my apprentice when I'm a warrior too.
"I've no doubt. How many moons are you?" she asked, wanting to make sure she'd be able to be available when it came time for Lotuskit to become a 'paw.

Songkit watched from the nursery. She couldn't wait until the day came when she would get to be an apprentice too. Though she was happy to have some new friends to play with. She hoped Beankit and Blazingkit would like playing with her and her siblings.

~ Rainfall had been curled around her sons lightly sleeping before lifting a ear to Sparrowstars call for a meeting. Rainfall didn't want to leave her kits due to Stormkit already going missing and Songkit currently being missing who knew if Starclan had planned for Galekit to follow in those pawsteps, so the queen didn't get up just stared out if the nursery to hear what was being said. Rainfalls eyes then caught a little thing moving near the entrance of the nursery. Rainfall didn't pay much attention until she got a good look at the kits pelt and her eyes widened the queen quickly got up and quickly made her way towards Songkit making sure not to step on any playing kits. Once the queen reached her missing kit she grabbed her by the scruff and carried her back to the nest before plopping her down.
"Songkit! Where were you?! What do you have to say for yourself?! After the meeting is over we will be talking to Sparrowstar, understood?"
Rainfall scolded her daughter before she started to lick her daughters head in a comforting way.
"I have been worried sick! I thought you got hurt or worse." ~

They had only just returned to ThunderClan, but already the large warrior was getting antsy. Laying around in the medicine cats den all day was less than preferable, not when there were other things they could be doing to help the clan. Besides, its not like their paw just got ripped off a day before they returned right? It was...probably mostly healed at that point, at least enough that they didnt need constant supervision. They could heal the rest on their own without having to waste any more of the clans herbs.
When they returned they weren't able to properly speak to those they unwillingly left behind, instead getting whisked away for their injuries to be evaluated. Maybe thats what they should do now that they had time. The reception likely wouldn't be as positive as Echosongs was, but as long as their mate wasn't mad at them that would be more than enough. The loss of their kits still weighed heavily on their shoulders, as it would for pretty much any parent, but that wound was still too raw, too new to bring up to anyone else. And why would they have to? They had no obligation to open up to anyone if they didn't want to, right?
As they padded slowly into the clearing with a rather noticeable limp, they weren't sure who exactly they expected to see. Certainly not a cat they thought was long dead. Certainly not Cinderpaw. For a moment, they were convinced their mind was playing an evil trick on them, a cruel game just to watch them suffer even more as they slowly realized it was all imaginary. That their daughter wasnt alive and back in ThunderClan, that she was still and always would be dead. That was how it normally worked. Their eyes flickered down to the apprentices feet, looking for the shadow that dead cats lacked. And it was there.
This wasn't a dream, this wasn't a hallucination. Stars, it really was Cinderpaw. Immediately their eyes began to well with tears that would begin to pour down their cheeks moments later, voice caught in their throat even though they had so much they wanted to say. They saw her scars, they saw what RiverClan did to her, but more than that, they saw her. It was still Cinderpaw, no matter how she looked.
Without wasting a second more, Shallowshiver began to make their way over to the cat they had never gone a day without thinking of. Their wounds ached as the movement stretched the scabbing flesh uncomfortably, but their pain didn't matter, not then. In a single motion they scooped the large apprentice into a tight embrace, head burrowed into her shoulder.
"Im osrry, Im so sorry-" they gasped, finally beginning to speak. "Im so sorry I didnt listen to you, that you had to suffer alone. I missed you more than you could ever know" They didn't expect Cinderpaw to forgive them, not even a bit. Hell, they didn't even forgive themself. But it was the least they could do to simply apologize, not only for their negligence, but for the negligence of the entire clan.
Cloudspots had to admit, he was surprised to be receiving a new apprentice. He wasn’t going to complain, though. Wisteriapaw had been nothing but a thorn in his side since she’d been assigned to him. He just hoped Hazelpaw would actually take their duties as an apprentice seriously. He didn’t need another apprentice slacking off.
Thinking about how he didn’t envy the cat Wisteriapaw was given to, the gray warrior scanned the clearing for his new apprentice. [ @NinjaBloss ]
Excitement rushed through Oriolepaw as Sparrowstar announced that he was getting a new mentor. Finally! So many of his denmates had been reassigned before him that Oriolepaw was starting to think the leader had overlooked him.
The apprentice’s eyes darted rapidly around the group of assembled cats, searching for his new mentor. He figured his mentor would come to him, since he didn’t know who Leafsprout was. They’d never met before. [ @MintyLeaves ]
Skyshadow listened quietly as several apprentices were reassigned. His thoughts drifted toward Blushface; would she be getting Brightkit as an apprentice? He didn’t know much about the she-cat yet, but he figured she’d be a good mentor. She seemed kind and dedicated.
What if Sparrowstar assigns Brightkit to you? He wasn’t sure how he’d feel about that. He liked the freedom of not having an apprentice. Besides, he wanted his focus to be on his legacy. How could he do that if he had an apprentice? Still, he wouldn’t neglect an apprentice if one was given to him. At least, not intentionally.

Hazelpaw's ears pricked at the sound of her name, and she immediately looked around for her new mentor. Spotting who she recognized to be Cloudspots, the siamese trotted over to him with a determined glint in her eyes. "You better actually train me, alright?! I'm gonna be the best warrior, so you can't slack off," she said with narrowed eyes. The molly knew her tone was probably disrespectful, but she didn't care. Her last mentor hadn't trained her, so this one had better.
Cloudspots saw a Siamese stalking over to him with an agenda. Before he could even say a word, the cat fiercely told him that he’d better train her, since she was going to be the greatest warrior and couldn’t have a slacking mentor. He wasn’t exactly sure how to respond to that, since nobody her age had ever talked to him quite like that.
He decided to play it cool. “Well, my last apprentice never showed up for training once. So I’ll agree to show up and train you, if you agree to show up and learn. Deal?”

As Mottlepaw settled down, he felt a sense of danger. He raised his brows to see a flung piece of ant goop flying toward him. The last time he tried dodging something he failed miserably. But now that he was an apprentice... he could finally try dodg- Anddd no. The ant goop got on his luxurious fur. His emerald eyes showed a rare red glint of anger. Great Starclan! Fury bubbled in his chest. His eyes glistened, glaring toward Blazingpaw. "Look at what you did to my fur!! MY FUR!" He hissed. Really trying to stir up a bee's nest aren't cha'
He stood up, staring down at his white paws with adrenaline kicking in. All he would need to do and swipe and swipe. Yeah. Just a small swipe. His intrusive thoughts overtook his brain. The ant goop dropped from his fur. Splattering onto the ground. He gave a maniacal laugh. "I'm so ready to turn you into minced mouse meat."
[ should we have like a little fight scruffle between the two of them? ]
A smug plastered below his ping nose, listening to the whining Mottlepaw had given out. “I know what I did, and I will do it again!” His smugness faded as the tomcat stared worringly at his denmate with confusion, for that Mottlepaw gave a laugh that did not seem evil nor good-spirited, but rather psychotic!
“Not if you were minced first, you giggling mud of an apprentice!” It should not concern Blazingpaw at all. What matters was that Mottlepaw was close enough to be targeted for, wait for it, Blazingpaw’s claws of fury!
Before swiping his paw down to grab another paw-full of ant fluids, he flung it at the second apprentice and ran at him with tiny brown paws sharp with clean claws.
