A house of Wisterias

Wisteria shook her head. "No no no!" She meowed, flicking her long fluffy tail. "No, its fine! You stay here. I'm going to sacrifice my fish friend; his name is Bubble." She said solemnly. "You other cats seem to like fresh food; So let me go and try to fish in the fish bowl! Gimme a mintute, Beautiful Venom, I'll be back soon!" She ran inside her house, slipping through the door, which was open a crack. A few minutes later, she ran back out, a dead fish in her mouth, an angry looking twoleg pushing her outside. She looked a bit sad she was being scolded, and she was absolutely dripping wet, from head to toe. She ran over once her Housefolk disappeared, and dropped the fish by Adder's paws. "Here you go, Beautiful Venom!"

Adder looked at the white and yellow kittypet in absolute shock. She had pegged Wisteria as a naieve kittypet who didn't know the first thing about hunting. But seeing her kill her friend in cold blood, just so Adder could eat, completely flipped the perspective. Adder found herself staring at Wisteria in absolute awe. "Thank you, I..." Adder was speechless, what could she say to that? "At least share with me? It is your catch, after all,"

Wisteria beamed. "Aww, that's nice of you, Beautiful Venom! Bubble will be happy somewhere else now, I hope. I've never actually tried a fish. What does it taste like? Ooh, let's find out!" She took a bite, chomping thoughtfully. "Hm. Interesting." She took another bite, then pushed it to Adder and stood up, walking off a little way before shaking her pelt out, flinging water everywhere. She was careful not to get Adder though. Then she trotted back, pelt not quite as wet as before, but still clinging to her plump frame, dripping slightly. She sat a little way away, so she didn't get her new friend wet. "Do you want to know how I caught Bubble just now? It's a funny story!"

@Moondew (aww, that's nice! Wisteria is such a bubbly cat, I think she'll be good for Adder. Also, sorry, she's white and yellow.)

Adder took small bites, careful not to eat too fast, knowing that would give her indigestion. She settled into a loaf position, paws tucked under her ribcage. "Ok, as long as there are no snakes in the story." Adder was always up for a story, especially funny ones, they helped her take her mind off of things.
(sorry i thougt i had written yellow ToT, i went back nd looked at her starter page to make sure. Guess i just rly like cream. And she will definitely help adder come out of her shell a bit )

Wisteria nodded. "There are no snakes in my house, so no snakes. Well anyways, I said I would catch Bubble and bring him to you, right?" She meowed, settling a loaf position and putting her pink bow collar back into the right position. "Well, I went inside. My Housefolk were watching a big moving box, so I was fine. I came inside, meowed hello, and jumped up next to the fish bowl. There were five fish; I call them Scaly, Funny, Flip, Pebble, and Bubble! Bubble is the biggest fish." She held her yellow paws up to illistrate her point. "So I caught him. But when I tried to scoop him out with my paws... I fell into the fish bowl!" She laughed, flicking her tail. "So I got out, super soaked because I basically went swimming, and grabbed Bubble with my teeth. The other fish were terrified, and I apologised for scaring them. But then, my Housefolk came over and yelled at me.." She looked sad for a second, then perked up again. "I ran out here, and they closed the door, like you saw. So then when they went inside, I came over here to give you Bubble to eat. I'll be locked out all night, but I can sleep out here! I do that sometimes." She finished cheerfully, smiling at Adder. "Have you got any stories, Beautiful Venom? I adore stories of far away places, and I'm sure you've seen more than I have."

Adder ran through the memories of her past life. Not much was story worthy, so she fell back on an old tale, passed down through generations. "Where I come from, we believe that the world was created by a giant snake. His name was Thunder Fang, and when he hissed, rain fell, enough to flood the world. He created cats to do his bidding, and he bestowed upon them gifts, each a weaker version of one of his powers. He let us hiss, to scare away our enemies. Stealth, sneaking through the undergrowth, just like the adders and the vipers. Our tails, so long and twisting like a snake's body. But over time, the cats grew to dislike the snakes, and they turned upon them. The cats were killing the snakes mercilessly, so Thunder Fang gave the snakes poison, to defend themselves from thise who wished to harm him. This was the one gift he did not give to cats, and it saved the snakes. But ever since then, the snakes and the cats have always hated each other, and they will attack on sight."
(this is basically the longest post i have ever written lol)

Wisteria's eyes were wide, and she was leaning forward slightly, soaking up the tale. "Wow." She whispered, leaning back again and looking amazed. "I never knew that... That's amazing! You have really cool stories, Beautiful Venom!" She meowed earnestly to Adder, honey yellow eyes gleaming. Her ears twitched, her fluffy, puffy pelt basically dry now. "Well, do you want to talk about anything else? I want to get to know you, since you're healing here anyways."

@Moondew (Sorry I took so long I was in art class loll. Also, I love the story! Where on earth did you come up with that?)

Adder licked her chest fur in embarrassment. "Thanks," she mewed, "My mother told it to me when I was a kit." She considered. "What's life like, being a kittypet?"
(Well, I basically took a bunch of cultural origin stories and stuff and made them abt cats and snakes, bc i can't be bothered to create anything more complex lol its midnight)

Wisteria smiled. "Thats sweet." Flicking her ears, she meowed, "Well, I always have enough to eat, I get treats sometimes, I have a warm, dry place to stay, I get pets, I get my pretty collar, and you don't have to work for much! I like to explore, so I get lost sometimes, but I always find my way back! I think its good, though I understand its not for everyone." She said this very fast, puffy fur ruffling in the slight draft where she was sitting. "Whats your dream, Beautiful Venom?" She randomly asked, staring at a ladybug on one of the leaves.

She had never really thought about dreams before. Her parents had expected stuff of her, and she kind of just accepted it. "I guess... having my own place, with food and shelter. Maybe even a mate? I guess I've never really thought about what I want from life, not long-term anyway. What about you?"
