Re: RiverClan Clearing
Ravenclaw looks between the two she-cats, then gazes at their brother. "Whispershine, could you leave the three of us alone for a minute?" They ask softly.
Now confused at the exchange between the two she-cats in front of him, Coralsplash blinks twice.

-Rainmist-
Rainmist had woken up just before everyone else and had padded to the fresh-kill pile to grab some food. He looked for a bit before finding a fish that he wanted. He walked up to the she-cat and asked "Would you like to share with me? The fresh-kill pile is getting kind of low."

Whispershine glares at Vinewatcher and turns away. Fine. She hisses and walks away, but stays in the hearing vacinity, so she could hear what her sister has to say about her.
How did Vinewatcher get Ravenclaw of all cats?! He is a very sweet tom and my sister is the total opposite of sweet. She reasons to herself. She doesn't deserve him!

It warmed his heart to know that the younger Riverclan warrior would be getting the recognition he deserved in due time. He didn’t know Dragonflyfrond very personally, but he could tell from their hunting venture that the other tomcat had a good heart and would be a loyal, dedicated warrior for the clan for many, many moons. Snowleap stretched out his front legs for a moment, his joints becoming rather sore if he stayed still for too long, despite him not being that old. Maybe it was the cold weather that made his body ache more than usual these days. Did that make sense? The dark-furred tomcat didn’t know, but he was getting distracted in his own head once again. He wondered if all these problems he had made sense to anyone else.
Snowleap nodded, wholeheartedly agreeing with Kestrelstar’s words. “We cannot afford any mistakes,” The tall warrior said, sighing ever so slightly, “There are some days where I just want to hunt every chance I get to keep our fresh-kill pile stocked, but I need to make sure I don’t overwork myself and get sick or injured. I’m sure Snakeheart has enough to deal with these moons.” He spoke sincerely, that being the whole reason he was in the clearing now instead of out hunting again. Their clan couldn’t afford anyone being minnow-brained and ending up in the medicine cat’s den for something preventable. He licked his paw, drawing it over his face a few times, continuing his usual grooming once more. “I do wonder how soon it’ll be until the snow will start piling up,” The Riverclan warrior mentioned, in-between grooming licks. His fur helped him keep warm, yes, but Snowleap remembered the last leaf-bare when snow would clump and get stuck to his long underbelly fur. The mere thought made him shake his head. It was times like this where he wished he was born into Riverclan, maybe then he would have had an easier time getting used to this kind of weather. Snowleap knew better though than to complain about such.
The Riverclan noticed Kestrelstar hesitate before answering his causal question. Had he said something wrong? Snowleap had tried to speak to the clan leader like he spoke to any other clan member, but maybe that wasn’t what he was supposed to do. It worried him a little, but he tried not to let it get to him. Snowleap’s ear twitched as he looked at the large tomcat with his icy-blue eyes as he explained. “Nobody’s perfect,” The warrior reminded Krestrelstar with a smile, “If we didn’t make mistakes now and again, how could anyone expect us to grow and learn as individuals?” Snowleap was trying to teach himself that lesson, remembering how his mother would always hold his mistakes over his head as a kitten. Not wishing to delve into his past within his thoughts, he continued to speak. “I know you’ll make a full recovery in no time, it’ll take more than some nasty coyotes to take down the leader of Riverclan,” He said, blinking at the other tomcat, “But I agree with you. I have high hopes for that as well. Regardless of what happens, I will do what I can to make sure Riverclan survives another cold season ahead.”

Mistakes. It was such a simple word, but ever since the raid on ThunderClan, it held a heavy weight with Kestrelstar. He found himself silently agreeing with Snowleap, though he didn't speak on it. He had made plenty of mistakes during the first few moons of leadership. There had been cats that died because of his mistakes. While the gray tabby was certain he was far from done in making them, the least he could do was try to steer clear, especially right now more than anything. Thankfully, it had been quite awhile since he had felt any emotion akin to the rage he'd felt back then burn within him. Hopefully, those days were behind him - just had to put one paw step in front of the other.
At the mention of snow, Kestrelstar turned his nose towards the sky and examined the bright gray clouds overhead. It was cold, yes, but so far no snow had fallen. If he had any say in it, he would love to see some snow, if only for his own personal excitement. But being the leader of a Clan meant that more often than not his enjoyment got put on the back burner in favor of the good of the Clan - and snow did not bode well for some. "I know most of the Clan seems to thrive in it - last leaf-bare Junipersong and I held a race up a rather snowy hill." He recalled the event with a certain warmth, joy at the memory seeping into his gaze. He had only been a warrior then, and it was the first time he could remember having any fun since his mother's death. He wondered if they would be doing the same event this year; regardless of his rank change, he'd still find it fun to host such a game.
Snowleap spoke again and it drew Kestrelstar from his thoughts. Yellow eyes glazed over in thoughtfulness as they met with Snowleaps. His smile, and the gentle reminder that no one was perfect - not even Clan leaders - held a sort of comfort that the tom wanted to rush headfirst into. The last time he had felt support like this had been on the cliffside with Plumstorm - a cat he had not spoken to in some time. Rather than dwell on that negative, Kestrelstar returned the smile, something he had been trying to do more of. "They already tried once when they first attacked, this past newleaf," he chuckled in agreement, recalling the predator patrol he had led where one of the coyotes had almost taken his life. At the rest of Snowleap's statement, he simply nodded along, glad that RiverClan seemed to be progressing towards an era where they could shift the focus from their leaders' mistakes to how to remain strong as a Clan.
A feeling of restlessness suddenly struck him, and Kestrelstar found his gaze wandering towards the entrance of camp. With the little flakes falling from the sky, he felt something calling him to take a walk in the territory. Camp duties were mostly done for the day, and with a small look of curiosity the leader turned to look back at Snowleap. "I was about to head out to the territory for a quick check to Haven Springs, to make sure no outsiders have trespassed. Would you... want to join me?" Stars, he was still a bit awkward at asking his own Clanmates to join him for a simple walk, but it was all apart of growth he assumed. Getting out from under the shadows that had plagued him for so long, finally letting go of all of the death and destruction - some of which he had caused, other parts that had been beyond his control. It felt... nice. The leader smiled towards Snowleap, hoping that the tom wouldn't mind going out again after having already hunted.

Wolfsong smiled lightly at Rainmist, her silver tabby fur flashing in the leafbare sunlight. "I'd be happy to, as long as my sister an join us," she mewed, trailing her tail against the black tabby she-cat sitting next to her.
Moonfrost blinked kindly at the tom, her light blue eyes shining at the thought of fresh-kill.

Morningfeathers silver-blue fur was somewhat wet still, as they padded across camp right after contributing a single fish that they'd caught to the fresh-kill pile. They had returned from the pond not long before, and they couldn't help but shiver as their fur became colder with the weather, taking what felt like forever to dry. They turned their head as they made their way towards the Warriors den, huffing, but then pausing. Their mismatched green and blue eyes seemed to lock onto the two cats that had emerged from the den just briefly, before they started to pad over, trying to remember the cat's names as they made their way over.

"Sure why not." he meowed. "She can join us, then again the prey is getting low." Well after the meal should I hunt or try to join a patrol. Yea I should hunt. he thought.
