Adderpaw
Determined ⋆ Loyal ⋆ Lawful Good ⋆ She/Her
“One day I’ll be the greatest warrior of all the clans!”
Breathe.
Exhale.
Where are we? What is your name? What was your dream again?
Adderpaw could barely hear anything that was going on as she laid down on ground in utter shock that her hero was missing. The person she was most keen on proving herself to as a mark of her path to becoming what she wanted. Yet she found no strength in her legs, she barely could tell where she was she was so stressed.
What season is it? Why is it cold? Don't you want to get off the cold ground?
There was a strong mental fog that she could barely make herself through. She bit her lips, was this really becoming of a warrior? Fight to regain control she wondered if anyone thought down on her for collapsing like this. At least beating herself up was helping her regain focus slowly. At the cost of her heart.
There is certainly a lot of yelling. Its a feminine voice, someone very familiar.
That's Birdsnow, that's right. I am Adderpaw. I have strength in me, my body is powerful. We must get up.
Slowly Adderpaw pulled herself from the ground. It felt like she was fighting a hard fought battle but she was making progress. Once she had finally made it to be sitting proper again slowly sounds registered as words. Words that had meaning. Unfortunately for these words, the ears and brain took to long to fully talk to each other so she missed everything said. She shook her head and slowly cleaned the dirt off of herself.
Maybe after the meeting she would take time to talk to Birdsnow like she had with Larkstar. Propose the same thing that she did so long ago. Wait, wasn't that two moons ago? So much was happening that it felt like time had slowed down for her. Why couldn't it have been longer than that? Nevermind that, still it seemed like the meeting was going on and now that she could, Adderpaw should focus.
Garlic Feather
Purrks; Just a scratch| Beefed up tier 1|
He-Him { River Clan } Warrior
Garlic Feather hadn’t voiced his support for Bird Snow, but he was personally feeling confident that this would be RiverClans final turning point. Lark Star was growing to be that, but Bird Snow? Finally handling things, finally doing something, finally being what riverclan needs! Bird Snow had been an excellent deputy, and surely would make a thriving leader, as long as his mouse brained clanmates stopped being brainless bullies to any-cat with differing opinions that was. He did though take a moment to glance at any who were the cause of the screaming matches needing to be called out in the first place. He’d mostly remained silent during all the meetings he’d been in, he didn’t necessarily plan to change that. Especially since he didn’t see anything to be said, maybe he was just apart of the crowd anyhow. Now his thoughts on the open Lion Heart spaces? Personally, Garlic Feather hadn’t ever considered it achievable for himself, not because he didn’t think he was a great warrior but because he could list too many cats who deserved to get that role. And also, judging by how often duties are neglected every cat with the lion heart status (apart from maybe one or two of them from what he’s seen) always ends up dropping their duties. Also how had the HEAD lion heart had managed to be demoted? Garlic wasn’t really eyeing any roles, he wasn’t ever really voicing his opinion either. He could mentally yap about stuff he did and didn’t do for ages, and all about how he thought he was a good warrior. Garlic Feather decided he should at least voice some support, something to show he was listening. ‘Bird Snow is right, obviously, about all the screaming matches, although they seemed to happen almost every meeting with Lark Star for some reason. Personally it just ticks me off to see every cat losing their heads over the most sensible things or doing the most unhinged stuff for no reason. Be civil ‘bout it at least.’ Garlic Feather didn’t raise his voice very much, mostly incase some cat turned and snapped at him. He was all for a physical fight but here it would just be ridiculous (and he couldn’t handle verbal fights) so it was better to voice it lightly.

Icestrike looks around eyebrows raised. That was quick. The elder takes a breath, trying to shake his ready grief from his mind. There is a chance the Larkstar will return, but if they don’t, Icestrike mustn’t dwell too long on that.
She/Her | Chaotic Good | Lionheart
Go With The Flow [Active]
To say that Cherryswirl wasn't deeply hurt by some of the words uttered by others at this meeting would be a lie. And, through a biting sting and the threat of tears lingering in her vision - She was somehow able to swallow it down. The pain. The anger. The retaliation. A breath hitched in her throat before she was able to clear it. Realistically, she understood that these were words spoken in anger. If not for Fishfreckle vehemently defending her, they might have gotten to her. Though, she would give him a scuff upside the head later. For one thing, she could defend herself, and another... well, he didn't have to be so mean! Cherry knew he had a good heart behind all that attitude. All she could do before Birdsnow finally spoke up was cast a long, saddened expression towards Talonpaw. Maybe she could talk to him later about it... Sometimes cats just needed to get it out. And now that she was no longer the brunt of the conversation for being present at the meeting, Cherryswirl meowed up Birdsnow (among a sea of voices) - once again clearing her throat,
"No searches. And I understand, Birdsnow... I will prove my dedication to our clan... why I wanted to serve as a Lionheart in the first place." She had been expecting this outcome and accepting it wasn't so difficult to be frank. She was just glad she had the opportunity to prove herself! No more sulking. No more sadness. No more worrying how Fishfreckle would fair outside of her immediate care anymore - speaking of...
"Fishfreckle," Cherry meowed, meandering her way through the crowd to track down her former apprentices, "Come sit back down. It's resolved for now. Anything else can be handled after the meeting." Though her voice held that affectionate softness, there was still a firm resolve to it. She wasn't asking, she was telling.
The silence that broke from Birdsnow's holler struck him like lightening.
Sorrelblaze had little time to react to all the yelling, he barely even managed to hear most of it, but luckily his leader was able to address each issue going on. This was insane...not even the Lionhearts were doing good right now. Sorrelblaze frowned. No search party, either? Stars, only a few days? His ears plastered to the back of his head, unsure of how to take this information in. He respected Birdsnow deeply, but he wouldn't hide his disappointment in her decision to (in his eyes) give up on Larkstar. Tansypaw, however...they shouldn't expect her to come back. He watched her walk away with the emptiest look in her eye, defeated. She had no spirit here anymore...and he would never force such a high duty like medicine cat on anyone. She was done, he was sure of that.
Sorreblaze sighed as a few more cats bickered a little more after Birdsnow's demand for a peaceful meeting. They couldn't even follow a simple order? Then when Birchbranch appeared, struggling through the pain just to chime in, he approached her quietly. "Birchbranch, I admire your eagerness to help, but you really should be resting-" Last thing they needed was her causing more stress on the Clan and herself.
My my, this Clan truly was filled with a bunch of hotheaded flea-brains. At least Birdsnow seemed to have some sense like she did. Thank goodness for that. She didn't know what she'd have to do if they were stuck with a mouse-minded leader. Birdsnow wasn't afraid to call cats out for their stupidity, just like her. Good, good. With Birdsnow's help, Swanbite might be able to whip this Clan into shape again. All she needed was patience and persistence.
"Clear as day, Birdsnow." Swanbite spoke out in reply to her leader's final word. "Although, If I may suggest, please don't hesitate on enforcing these rules as soon as possible. I'm sure it comes from a place of passion and care for the Clan, but it seems that some of your warriors have rather dangerous temperaments..." She silently side-eyed Birchbranch, Fishfreckle, and Fadingsun after her statement. She then scanned the clearing for Nightspark, but no sign of him. What a shame. She was really hoping he'd prove her wrong after that incident in the clearing. Oh well. Swanbite returned her gaze to Birdsnow and added one more thing. "And if you ask me, hotheadedness will get us nowhere in a state like this."

Kits were not something Dusklion usually acquainted herself with, but this one... yeah, she liked the spunk on this one. Amusement glittered in her gaze as she continued to spout off at the now sulking warrior. He'd ignored her, but she wasn't bothered in the slightest. "You keep that bite up," she purred with a small, light nudge of her paw against the kit. "'N good job for not letting let flea-bags like that walk over you. Stand up strong, 'n know your worth. You're gonna make a snazzy warrior one day, kid." Yeah, this little dude was cool.
It wasn't often that she felt annoyance at her brother, but a strike of it flashed in her blue gaze as Dusklion glanced over at him. Sure his rant had been longer and was more specific, but it had essentially ended word-for-word like hers. Hmph. She watched him for a moment or two more, whiskers twitching in irritation, before looking over to Shorty. That one had a lot of fire, and reminded her of Fades quite a bit. What was with toms and their consistent need to puff out their chest farther than all of the other toms in the Clan? And since when had her brother gotten caught up in all that nonsense? It made her want to double over laughing.
Most of these cats were easy enough to ignore, and the dark tabby couldn't help but wonder what the three cats she looked up to would think. Bitey would be tired and grumbly and probably start dragging cats out by their tail. Lions would be half-way to renaming them all to dung-something, and Fury? Oh, she would love to see his reaction to everything. Missing an eye didn't mean he would miss the opportunity to put some mouse-brains in their place.
Only one cat really addressed her directly and that was... well, she didn't remember her name. Birch-something? But she just raised a brow and peered at her. "Cool," she replied with a flick of her ear, whiskers twitching in amusement as she attempted to hide a snort of laughter. Why was she out here and not resting in the medicine den? Her wounds looked awfully painful, and Dusk didn't even what it must feel like to be subjected to the cold air during this meeting.
There wasn't much else to say really, mainly because Dusklion had no interest in adding anything on. It was clear as day that Birdsnow wanted to continue this meeting without anymore interruptions, so she would sit silently. "Clear as snow under the sun, Birds," she chirped up at the pale-furred she-cat, offering a bright grin.
What did garner her interest was the open Lionheart positions - and the ambition was clear in her eyes. She wanted that. Well, what she really wanted was to be named deputy of the Clan - something she planned on outright asking about later. Her paws flexed underneath her and she couldn't help but wiggle a little bit. Fury had been a Lionheart, hadn't he? And so had Bitey. Lions had been the actual leader and by the stars if she didn't get one of those three slots then she was doing something wrong. "Think I'm gonna try out for deputy," she whispered to Fangkit beside her, grinning practically from ear to ear. "What do you thing, Sharps? Think I got what it takes?" Then her eyes lit up. "Tell you what - I make it to deputy, 'n you're gonna be my Lionheart. Deal?"

Wingpaw
He/him | 6 moons | Mind Reader • Silver Tongue • Go with the Flow [inactive] • [Open]
Too much was happening around him. Shouting, arguing. Most of it blurred and blended together, thankfully for Wingpaw's sake. He was barely managing to steady himself, resisting the nearly overwhelming urge to bolt. He could feel eyes on him, coming from above, and slowly he lifted his head to meet Birdsnow's gaze. There was pity in there and it made him feel... sad. Weak. He didn't want to be pitied.
But it wasn't until he heard Pristy's voice that he felt reality start to come back to him. Still panting he glanced over at her, trying to mask the terror he felt. "She's gone, Pristy." Now it felt final. Wing had spoken it out loud, and now it felt more true than it had before. First dad, then Rushwater, now his aunt... it wasn't fair...
He was acutely aware of Birdsnow speaking, and if he hadn't been so wrapped up in his own aching heart he would've felt the burst of admiration for how she took control. But his gaze was still focused on his best friend - until some warrior thought they could tell either of them what to do. A sharp gaze cut to Birchbranch as Wingpaw did his best to control his panting. "Go shove your nose elsewhere before I claw it off," he snapped with a lash of his tail. If that warrior thought he was going anywhere now, she was mistaken. He couldn't bold, he couldn't go back to the apprentice's den, as much as he craved the dark and desolate feeling it often provided. No, he had to be strong. He was going to be leader of this Clan one day, dammit; no more acting like a kit.
With a grunt the caliby pulled himself into a more seated position, a low growl erupting from him as he forced himself to raise his head. After another scathing glare was sent Birchwhatever's way, Wing let himself scoot closer to his best friend while also taking a paw and holding Honeypaw close to him. He would be alright, so long as he had his brother and Pristy by his side. Nothing was ever going to happen to them - nothng.

PINEFIRE she/her. 14 moons. mottled brown and off-white tabby with orange eyes
(purrks; just a scratch, master scout)
with no response from hailpaw, pinefire narrows her eyes, tail lashing with anger. fine, I didn't wanna have to deal with any more of his stupidity anyway, she thinks with a small huff. her attention shifts back to minkpaw, feeling her heartstrings being tugged upon the apprentice sniffling. poor kid, she thinks. she feels an odd sense of protetiveness over the apprentice, much similar to the one she felt regarding her sister, appledawn. "I bet."
her eyes widen a bit at the sudden confession, she raises a brow. "really? hey kid, you should tell birdsnow that..could be useful, y'know? knowing some things." she says, glancing around the crowd. she doubts minkpaw is the only one in the whole clan that knows a thing or two about herbs. maybe they could all just group up? little group of healers. her ears twitch at the ongoing arguments around her, fur bristling at birdsnow's sudden roar. "this girl's got some bass to her.." she says to herself, blinking. jeez.
she listens to the deputy (leader? leader.) speak, eyes glinting with hope at the talk of open lionheart positions. she can't help but grin. but, something catches her attention, and at this point she feels like she's cursed to hear things and promptly open her mouth without thinking. birchbranch. "no offense, but d'you really think tansypaw's comin' back after choosing to leave riverclan? doesn't sound like larkstar's comin' back either, sounds like she got murked out there." she quips with an "are you serious" expression. just hearing this molly talk..the tabby cares for all her clanmates, but she sure doesn't like all of them.
tansypaw and larkstar weren't members of riverclan anymore in her mind. she feels no obligation to feel any loyalty to the two, especially since one chose to leave on her own regard, and sure as hell isn't worried about them coming back or not. she's focused on the future..aka..birdsnow not waiting around and actually getting her lives! no point in waiting around, at least not in pinefire's mind.
It didn't take long for someone to come at him with an attitude. Fishfreckle started hurtling spiky words at him. A part, a huge part, of the tom wanted to lash out and rip the arrogant tom a new one, but a stronger part of him knew that starting a fight right now wouldn't do anyone any favors. He'd made his stance on the issues at paw known; it didn't need to turn into a personal fight.
So, all he gave the tom was a nonchalant ear flick. If he thought he was going to generate some sort of explosive response with his words, he was about to be disappointed.
He did chuckle a bit at being asked if he was a baby. It was funny, those words, coming from arguably the biggest manchild in the Clan right now. Fadingsun certainly hadn't forgotten anything he'd witnessed Fishfreckle doing. Why Larkstar had bothered giving him his warrior name was beyond Fadingsun; it was apparent he wasn't mature enough yet for it.
Sooner or later, however, something would happen to make Fishfreckle realize that his crap did, indeed, stink just like everyone else's. He was not some special, holier-than-thou gift to the Clan. He was an ordinary tom with an attitude problem, who tried to pretend he only spoke out of care for the Clan when in reality he just enjoyed tearing down others to patch his likely-fragile self-esteem.
Eyes remained focused on Birdsnow. Fadingsun tried to repeat the words Wormbite had always told him. He had to bring himself back to center, tame this anger before it caused him a problem. As the new leader began to speak, it provided something grounding for him to focus on.
Fadingsun was pleased to hear that Cliffjumper was being removed from the Lionheart ranks. Nightspark would no longer be head Lionheart, but would remain a regular Lionheart for now. Not how Fadingsun would've handled it, but he supposed it was fair enough. As for Cherryswirl, she had until the next meeting to prove her worthiness.
Throughout the meeting, Cherryswirl had shown an impressive amount of poise and professionalism in the face of criticism. It did earn some of Fadingsun's respect back, but she had a long way to go before he'd consider her worthy of a Lionheart title. His ears perked at the announcement of open Lionheart ranks; he did have higher aspirations, but if life lead him to that role he'd accept it all the same.
Regardless of what cats like Fishfreckle thought, Fadingsun would work his ass off to try to help this Clan. He didn't care about making friends or holding paws and chanting lullabies; what he cared about was bringing this Clan out of the dirt and earning some respect to their name again.
He only nodded at Birdsnow's request for no further disruptions during the meeting; unless something happened that definitely warranted his attention, he'd remain quiet for the remainder of the meeting.
