Ripplepelt's hackles lowered. It was obvious she regretted being disrespectful, and it was no wonder she wasn't feeling herself. swanbreeze let out a small trill in response; her body relaxing as their destination came near. letting out a small sigh, she responded, ``apprentices are a few pawfuls.. i cannot blame you,`` she nodded, tail swaying softly. smoothing down ripplepelt's spine fur with her tail, she looked up at her, the softest hint of admiration in her eyes. although swanbreeze didn't notice it herself.
she felt a connection with ripplepelt. a bond. she had been through things; swanbreeze has, too. she felt.. relatively happy that someone finally, at the least, had gone through what she had gone through; to some extent.
``oh, starclan, i haven't been to haven springs in such a while. how much longer?`` she chuckled; a faint smile on her face as she looked at her paws whilst she walked beside ripplepelt. leaning into her, searching for her warmth, swanbreeze's thin pelt still hadn't adapted from the fall's relatively warm temperature.

Ripplepelt let out a soft sigh of contentment. With all the young warriors about (including their fresh from apprenticeship leader and deputy) it was refreshing to spend some time with someone her own age. It was so often go-go-go with the young ones, but it was nice to stop and smell the flowers, especially with such pleasant company.
"They're certainly bundles of energy," she mewed fondly. "I'm no elder, but they sure make me feel that way sometimes!"
"Not far now," she purred, pressing into Swanbreeze's touch. "I can see the old twoleg bridge up ahead."
She was looking forward to the warm water, if not the getting out when they were finished. Still, that was a problem for later, and she'd deal with it when she got there.

Ripplepelt flicked an ear in agreement. The sooner they took out the fox, the better - she only hoped they wouldn't lose any more lives in the process.
"We're coming up on camp now," she mewed, steps slowing as they approached the clearing. "Now that we've brought the body back, hopefully a fox patrol will get organised as soon as possible."

"This way," Ripplepelt mewed, padding through the territory. Even if she wasn't familiar with the way to the shore, it wouldn't have been too hard to find - not only was it a large stretch of land, but the salt of the waves could be faintly smelled even from camp if you paid attention.
"I'm not surprised you haven't been before - it's a bit of a trek, and there's not much useful prey there," she remarked. It might've been a little far to go for some decorations, but it seemed like Adderpaw could use the exercise - it might tire the restless apprentice out a little.

"Of course," she mewed, "I'm happy to take you." She was glad to spend the day with the apprentice - she made good company, and her curiosity had her seeing the same old familiar sights with fresh eyes.
Ripplepelt glanced back at Adderpaw as she padded through the territory, surprised by the sudden question.
"I'm not that old," she chirped, a little amused. "There's still plenty of life in me left, don't you worry about that. But to answer your question, getting older isn't so bad at all. It's not really any different from being a young cat - you just have more experiences, and sometimes a couple more aches and pains." She looked over her shoulder questioningly. "Are you worried about getting older, Adderpaw? Or just worried about me?" she purred.

Ripplepelt bristled at the younger warrior's tone. "Hence why I suggested we get to it instead of standing around," she snapped. "You could stand to show some respect instead of snark."
She stepped towards the tiny body, pressing her nose to his cold pelt. May StarClan give you your warrior name, since RiverClan could not.
SycamoreSprout looked at the older warrior and followed her to the body, realizing what she had done she started talking in a more respectful tone. ' ' Sorry, that was rude. I just haven't been feeling like myself lately. ' ' SycamoreSprout knew exactly why she hadn't been feeling like herself, but no cat needed to know why. The younger warrior then picks up AsterPaw's lifeless body by the neck and begins dragging it back to camp.

Beastblaze just rolled his eye's as he over heard bickering. he decided to ignore that. " now what on Starclans name is all this Fuss About? Lets Just get a move on now" He Growed to himself "another dead apprentice" he growed towards the two warriors "those foxes are just asking for it"

``you bring comfort, ripplepelt.`` she smiled, pressing into ripplepelt's fur and lapping behind her ear, tail loosely entwined with hers. whiskers twitching, she trilled, keeping ripplepelt's pace as they walked. ``i just want you to know that,`` she finished, the fur on her flank relaxing.
