Morningpaw sat sentinel, dark tabby tail swishing quietly at his side, bright amber eyes alert and brown and black fur ruffled slightly.
Silentmutter slept, gigantic frame rising and falling with his breaths, blue and green heterochromic eyes closed, and long, cream coloured fur ruffling, brown tabby patches blending together.
Shatteredpaw loafed in a corner, hazel eyes shining dark green, white, patchy fur covered in old scratch grooves, as the apprentice had her angel face on, but was silently judging everyone and wanting to sink their claws into something.
Sunrisekit existed in the void.

Quietraven
Shadowclan warrior
Purrks: Mind reader(permantly active) and Shadow fiend (inactive)
Today was rather chilly, well at least for summer it was. Well you couldn't expect it to be boiling especially when it was raining. Despite the grey weather Quietraven had automatically opted to spend her time outside. Her dislike of crowded spaces had remained unchanged yet the rain didn't bother her as much as it did in her apprentice days...a particular incident involving Owlthroat brought back some nostalgia.
Breathing in the damp, cool air, the dark splotched warrior raised her head to the cloudly sky above. Allowing raindrops to trickle down her form and form droplets on her dark eyelashes. The solitude the downpour brought her was much appreciated. Quietraven was at ease and for now all anticipation of a bothersome clanmate or worrying news was absent from her mind. For now she'd just enjoy the rainfall.
Raining still? Elkmane was observing the clearing from the mouth of the warrior's den, ears pressed flat against the back of his head to avoid catching a rogue droplet. He'd been sleeping off his morning patrol, since the departure of the owl's he'd taken back up his habit of an early morning walk, doubled as a patrol, just maybe not as thorough as it could be.
He'd come back and taken a bit of a nap, the moisture that had been in the air the last few days left his fur feeling sticky and his bones feeling sore. The few minutes of sleep were enough to warm him back up and dry off. The tom let a sort of slither from his nostrils, and with one decisive step, he entered the spitting rain. Clanmates were sparse at this time of day except for, ah, Quietraven. Perhaps the warrior would join him for a hunt later, incentivized by sharing a meal.
"Can I grab you something?" The tom called as he approached, tenderly stepping through the grass until he stood just diagonally from her, placed perfectly between the fresh kill pile and where she sat.
Rockjaw was busy or something, and she had nothing else to really train on. So... what was next on her list of things to do?? Be a nuisance. Yes, of course. She could absolutely do that. Easy peasy. Now who to torment. Yes.
Amber eyes scanned the clearing. Then, they landed on none other than MUDSLIDE. Hey! That's that weird cat who stepped down from one of the best ranks you could get in this clan! She had to know why. But first... what was her name again? The tabby would ponder this momentarily as her paws led her towards the warrior.
"Hey! Hey...!
She called, going through her list of names until... until... Slider... Slide... MUD- MUDSLIDE, YES!!!"Mudslide!" She chimed, her pace picking up as she closed in her on prey. "Hey, I have a question!" She continued, growing closer and closer until she was standing before the former Enforcer.
"How'd you get your name?? Is it cause you like mud?" She'd inquire, reaching towards the ground and patting a clump of mud near them. "Did you used to slide through mud? Is that why Mama called you Mudslide?"
For a few nanoseconds, Mudslide was actually enjoying being outside. Yes, she was very much stuck in a mental state that she'd rather keep pushed down, but things had been bubbling to the surface as of late, things she wasn't sure she could face. She wasn't overly confident, but she wasn't exactly sure either.
To make matters worse, her ears flattened as grating squeal assaulted her ears. Of course. Somecat had found her, somecat unpleasant. She would've genuinely preferred Dawnstar over — ah, her children. Or child. Hm, same thing. If anything, Scorpionpaw stood out the most. Not because she was special or had some other defining trait, it's because she was loud.
The displeasure on her face was cleverly masked as she turned to face the apprentice, immediately hit with a wall of sound. A question? Oh yippie, truly Starclan has blessed her. Oh so truly.
Mudslide blinked, two toned eyes hooded in neutrality. It was... An odd question. She hadn't exactly pondered it herself. But she figured her mother would think the name humourous, so why not? Her father certainly wouldn't protest, likely he'd nod like an oblivious coward. Love wasn't weak, but lacking a backbone was. So, the oriental shrugged and nodded, a weird combination of I don't know, but you're probably right.
Her eyes then drifted to the ground, pupils narrowing as they focused. What was she doing...?

To the surprise of no one, Houndpaw was digging another hole. This was not unusual for the apprentice considering his name's sake but this time he sought to outdo himself. To dig the largest hole he's ever dug. There wasn't a reason for this. Only boredom and unlimited free will. With moons of practice came easy of scooping up the soil and flinging it back to the ever building hill of soil. His short tail wagged back and forth with joy, taking great entertainment in the way the dirt crumbled underneath him. It was not muddy, no, that would be a step for later.
For now, Houndpaw focused on DIGDIGDIGDIGDIGDIGDIGDIG. Unfortunately what he wasn't paying attention to was the simple fact any of his clanmates that wandered too close were bound to get covered in debris. At some point, his hole looked more akin to a grave; the depth almost the length of his forearms. He panted heavily, cats liked to complain but it took great strength to dig! Lots of dirt got HEAVY!
Houndpaw stepped partially down into the Hole, beginning to use his hindlegs to further dig up the dirt. Unfortunately, this only meant he was flinging more soil around; rarely getting it into his actual pile.

Okay, so, obviously today was not the best day to wander through the clearing. Ashpaw was not paying attention as he walked, instead thinking about some old story about when Skyclan was among the clans. What had happened to them? He liked to think that they all grew wings and flew away, as per their name. Maybe he would ask-
Dirt suddenly covered his pelt, adding speckles of brown to his usually well maintained, fluffy grey fur. Ashpaw narrowed his eyes to avoid any getting in them and stepped out of the showering earth, only to see a tail sticking out of the hole. Who was digging, and why?
Ashpaw approached from the side and peered in, spotting Houndpaw digging his heart away. Well, he wasn't sure what to do except ask. "Hey, Houndpaw... What are you digging for?" Perhaps he had buried something a long time ago here. Maybe there was a good reason for digging like this. It seemed an awfully inconvenient place, being in the middle of the clearing and all. At this point, it was close to dangerous for kits if they happened to wander and slip.

But of course, all moments of bliss had to end sometime or other. Sharp eyes snapped open, flicking droplets away, as a voice pulled her out of her oblivious state. A sharp retort was always prepared form Quietraven was used to her piece being disrupted but she couldn't seem to fire it as the question itself took her off guard.
A casual offer to grab her something from the prey pile...when had someone ever extended such a simple favour to her, especially from someone she was sure she'd never had a conversation with before. Who was this again? Elk...fur? No...Elkmane, was that it? A lack of socialisation was sure to render you unfamiliar with most.
Cyan hues widened slightly in mild surprise before narrowing into cool indifference. "...No. I am fine, thank you." Finally the curt response arrived, subtle suspicion leaking into her tone. Though she could sense no apparent malicious intent there was definitely an ulterior motive...how benign it was she would discover in time.
Rockjaw simply lounged, wondering if he’d be nagged by a crazy bat today. (Short activity post till I can get a real one out tomorrow T^T - open tho!! )

· · ────────────── · · "Watcha up to, Rockface?" Birdecho hummed as she came up beside the cream striped tom. She peered down at him with her big amber eyes, blocking the sun from his face. "Man, this spot looks comfy. Don't mind if I do!" She plopped down next to him, white-tipped legs stretching stiffly to reveal dotted pink and black toe beans. She laid back, closing her eyes against the sunlight and letting its warmth seep into her fur.
