Maplepaw's head tilted, as she mulled over her options for a bit. "I'm up for training any time you're willing to take me." she compromised. She wanted to be pushier, honestly - as much as she wanted to appear patient to train, she wasn't - but Maplepaw didn't want to accidentally get snappy towards her brand new mentor. "I know a lot of our warriors are gonna have their paws full with that dog patrol, so I won't be surprised if you're busy."

Nightfurs whiskers twitched. "Yeah, I just agreed to go with my mate Larkwing, so we'll have to see if Dawnstar wants the patrol to happen now or later, we'll have to see." Nightfur looked at Maplepaw and thought of something else to talk about while they waited. "Soo, where'd you get your name from? Maplepaw makes me think of something sweet, like honey. I've never had honey before, but an elder I used to know told me about how much he ate as a loner before he became a ShadowClan Warrior."
@cunning "That's an.. interesting question." Maplepaw couldn't say she'd been asked anything like that before. Why... had she been named that, anyway? Blossomflame sure never told her. She settled for the only answer she could come up with. "I think it's 'cause of my fur. Some of the patches are almost red. Like a maple tree." She explained. "I... don't think a lot of cats peg me as 'sweet'."
Her eyes scanned over her mentor's pitch black pelt. "Bet I can guess why they named you Nightfur."

Nightfur chuckled. "That one's pretty obvious. My mother wanted to call me Crowkit or Blackit, too, but she liked the way night sounded." Thinking of her mother made him think of Larkwing, weirdly. He could see her being a mother. A strict one, but one that cared about her family. He looked at Maplepaw and flicked his tail. "You know what? We could train right now if you'd like. I don't think Dawnstar's doing the dog hunting patrol right now, so we could go off and train. It'll be my fur if Dawnstar sees I'm not on patrol, though."
oh man, she was late. Like, late late. Buzzardkit bolted out of the nursery, squishing herself between her clanmates underneath the shadowledge. She was sure nobody would notice, everyone was too busy being excited over apprentice and warrior ceremonies and what not. Besides, was it really her fault she was late? Well...yes..but, that doesnt matter now!

Hemlockkit jumped in surprise as another kit shoved against her, her eyes widening in shock. How rude! Even a small 'excuse me' would have been so much more polite. Well, not every kit knew proper manners, she supposed. Scoffing, she simply shook her head in disappointment before turning her gaze to buzzardkit. "I cant believe how boring this is. If its not our ceremony, why should we even have to be here?" she sighed, lifting a fore-paw to lick and drag over her ear.

Glancing to the side of her, she heard hemlockkit scoff, soon realizing it was directed towards her. Oops. Maybe she should've been more careful taking a seat. "I know!" she sighed exasperatedly. "I don't even like half of these cats, they get on my nerves. It's not like I'm going to change their names, so I shouldn't have to suffer and be here." especially the older apprentices and warriors, they all seemed stuck up and somehow got annoyed with buzzardkit. She was amazing! How could they get annoyed with her?
"Hhh..but I don't want to end up making dawnstar mad by not showing up, if I'm honest." she admitted with a large frown. If she didn't have to worry about dawnstar potentially getting upset, she'd choose to stay in the nursery and sleep everytime there was a ceremony unless it was hers, one of her siblings, or bonekits.
