He narrowed his eyes at Fleetsmoke. So now she was trying to get himself and Birchfawn in trouble. "Didn't say she needed to run. I said she shouldn't have fought." he retorted. He met her 'grateful' gestured with a wrinkled nose as if he smelt something foul. He moved his head a bit backwards as Twilightstar told them both that it was a reckless decision. They should of been able to take it down easily, with four of them and one of it. If they had brought the showing of their work and didn't allow Duckfeather to get swept away, they would of been praised. It would have been great prey for the clan.
Falconbeak blinked as Twilightstar demoted Fleetsmoke.. well Fleekpaw now.. in front of his eyes. He couldn't imagine being stripped of his title. If he was the patrol leader, things would definitely be different. There was no way he'd make the same mistake she did, not after this. His brown eyes turned to the deputy as he started to speak. Why was everyone getting on his back? He thought it was a good idea, Birchfawn and Duckfeather thought it was dangerous too.
He knew better than to say anything, he is not losing his rank if he can help it. No reason for him to lose his rank anyways, but fine. He made no other comments when being dismissed, though he blinked slowly. Falconbeak turned and stalked off towards the warrior's den, tail lashing. He's too good to for this failure of a patrol and attack attempt. They needed to worry about saving Duckfeather because if she's as strong as Fleetsmoke implied, she'll be deadly cold if she drags herself out of that river.

Hawkfur glanced up from where he had been tussling with Gracklepaw and Egretpaw, acting as a great big badger that his kittens could practice their battle moves on. He hadn't been able to spot Crowpaw after reporting the patrol, and he assumed his son needed some time alone to feel better about missing his catch during the patrol.
But it seemed Hawkfur's stint as a red badger was done. He rolled his kids off his back and promised to return, then padded to Crowtooth. Birchfawn and Falconbeak were slinking away, and the tension could be cut with a claw. "What do you need?" The Fury asked, pale blue eyes matching the cloud-streaked sky above.

| Lightningstorm | 23 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive | Katty Krueger - Inactive
To say that the day was warm was a downright lie. As far as the medicine cat was concerned, it was too damn cold any day of this stars forsaken season. However, hateful as she was of leaf-bare's eternally cold days and nights, Lightningstorm was also attentive. The snow was... not quite beginning to melt, but one could start seeing small sprouts of new life here and there. Newleaf was right around the corner, and it was clear the season was trying to make its presence known already. For this, the herbalist was more than grateful, her herb storage still useful but in desperate need of a refresh after the bitter leaf-bare moons.
Exiting her den and rushing up on the roots of the Galewood to get a good view of the area, she called out to the clan in order to get their attention. Once she was certain she had it, she began calling individual cats. In truth, there would probably not be too many herbs to gather, but few herbs was much better than no herbs at all. Gaze falling upon a gray pelt, the herbalist's ears perked up, her voice ringing clear across the camp.
"Dewfrost. With the snow being somewhat less prevalent today, I would like you to head on out for the Twilight Falls and search for hawkweed. It's a yellow flower with numerous yellow petals. Looks a bit like a cross between a marigold and a coltsfoot with a bad fur day. Here. This one's dried up by now, but it should give you a good idea of what to look for," she mewed, dropping a dried hawkweed by the feline's paws so they could get a better look. "Take Whiterabbit and Cardinalpaw with you. I don't expect you to find too many of them late in leaf-bare, but there are some early croppers early on when the weather is right. Might as well take a few extra paws to help you carry more if you find enough."
| Chervil |
[ Sunset Grove ]
| Leopardsong [ @Moonraven ] | Berrystorm [ @kira ] | Emberpaw [ @Splashcloud ] | "Leopardsong! Good day, love," Lightningstorm mewed as she took note of the pretty, spotted queen, twitching her tail in greeting as she approached her.
"Figured that today being an almost pleasant day for leaf-bare I could ask you for a favor in leading a small patrol to gather up some chervil? I have none on paw to show you, but I can describe it! I trust your attention to detail will hopefully procure the right herb," the herbalist mewed in earnest, her compliments for once an honest explanation of why she wanted the permanent queen going out on a herb run. She assumed a cat that had earned Twilightstar's trust in taking care of the kits of the clan as a permanent resident of the nursery had to have an eye to spot just about anything.
"It's a green leafed plant, with big, almost fernlike features. The scent should be very sweet, but if dug up to the roots you'll find that it gets a bit of a tangier scent that better matches it's taste. Normally I would want the roots, but so early in its growth season I would prefer just the leaves, if that's alright? Take Berrystorm and her apprentice, Emberpaw with you for carrying capacity to Sunset Grove. I trust that's where you'll have the best luck finding some, but let me know if they haven't sprouted yet. It'll be good information to keep track of in future."
Chervil taken care of, Lightningstorm turned her attention to a gray warrior with hard to read brown eyes. She had taken care of an injury of his not too long ago, but the torn claw had been a smaller matter, and she was keen to see how the tom could fare with a lighter patrol. There would be no need to strain the claw here, and he would probably not be bored to tears in his den with some work to do. He'd given her the feeling of not being the type to enjoy sitting around on his arse all day doing nothing, in any case. Giving his stance a small, assessing look as she approached with the herbs she carried to showcase to her patrols, she dropped her small bundle before him as she picked a mushroom to show him with a grin.
"'Ello there, Falconbeak. Been a long time since I've seen that chipper smile of yours," she mewed in a somewhat teasing voice before pointing at the mushroom. "Unfortunately, I'm here for business. The life of a medicine cat... never any time for pleasantries."
Lightningstorm sighed in mock melancholy, attempting to get a chuckle out of the brooding tom, although fully expecting to get no reaction for her troubles. Because of this, she continued without skipping a beat, not one to be let down by a tough crowd. If that had been the case, she wouldn't so much as be in the clan by this point in time. Stars knew WindClanners could be downright nasty to their own clanmates in the blink of an eye. Instead, she focused her attention on the mushroom once more.
"There were an awful lot of injuries over leaf-bare, and while the season isn't over... the twolegs are a real threat, and I would rather not go without if we take even worse hits from them. It's usually uncommon to find them while it's this cold, but that's why I want you to take Vinesmoke with you to the tunnels by the WindClan Territory. You shouldn't have to venture deep inside, as they tend to grow pretty close to the entrances, but they might be a little bit further within with how cold it's been these past few moons. Take Shrikepaw with you as well. It'll be good practice for him. Just because a cat ain't a tunneler it shouldn't be a reason for 'em to not know where the tunnel entrances are," the medicine cat mewed for explanation, waiting only a moment for any questions before heading off.
"Warmsun!" Lightningstorm called, lapis hues meeting amber with a grin. "'Nother lovely warrior I wanted to see. I'm going to have to ask you to go to the Starry Meadows and bring any cobwebs you find there. Take your apprentice, Fernpaw with you. Mossystream too. I'm not running low, but... things as they are, I'd prefer to be overstocked, especially with something like cobwebs. I... trust I don't have to explain what those are?"
Lightningstorm's nose wrinkled in thought as she let go of the last patrol, her thoughts on the twolegs and the cryptic non-message she had received from the stars. Blood... and herbs... She had taken precautions already, asking for both mushrooms and cobwebs to staunch any potential horrendous injuries that might come from the encroachers, and yet she still wasn't satisfied. Patrols didn't return with the herbs she had asked often enough, and while normally she merely expected this, today she was a bit less eager to take this as a fact of life. WindClan had suffered many an injury during leaf-bare already, and it was only thanks to the drying methods she had learned and the careful collection of herbs she had taken during the moons prior to leaf-bare that her herb stores hadn't been entirely devastated by now. And yet... she didn't want them to get that way at all if she could avoid it. Perhaps a patrol for moss should be in order. The plant enjoyed the cold and the dark. It survived leaf-bare if one knew where to look.
"Otterfur," the lithe calico called, her mind made up as she spotted the brown tabby. "Take Hollysap and Hawkpaw with you to Whispering Wetlands and find some moss, please. The area by the border tends to have good moss when we get closer to leaf-bare. Just please, whatever you do, don't cross the border. It's the cold moons. Any leader would take any level of crossing as an act of war, especially with how tense things have been of late. If you can't find moss on our side of the border, then it can't be helped. I would rather you all three come back in one piece."
With an amicable enough smile, she waved the patrol goodbye, grateful that moss was so often used in every day clan life she didn't have to explain what she was sending out to obtain for once. Hopefully there would be good harvests from some of the patrols. It would be foolish to expect decent findings from everyone. At least before newleaf even graced the clans. But a she-cat could always dream that at least some herbs would get replenish before the snow melted away.

Reason: One of these days I will get all the mentions right. Needless to say, today is not that day.
Berrystorm emerged from the warriors' den at the sound of her name, her ears flicking and her green hues scanning the clearing until they landed on the source---Lightningstorm.
The dilute tortoiseshell's whiskers twitched. She and Emberpaw were to tag along with Leopardsong to collect some chervil at Sunset Grove? Easy enough. The warrior just had to fetch Emberpaw and then meet Leopardsong by the camp exit.
Berrystorm bounded over to the apprentices' den and stuck her head inside. ''Emberpaw! Lightningstorm's sending us on an herb patrol with Leopardsong to collect chervil at Sunset Grove. Let's go and meet her at the camp exit,'' she meowed firmly, giving a whisk of her tail. She retracted her head and made her way over to the gorse tunnel.
As it is now summer for me, I will be online on and off. If you have any questions about LavenderClan, please contact rubberRatroom, zoamher, or Mr_Possessive. If you contact me, you will be redirected. Any IC inquiries should be directed to Frostpool (Mr_Possessive) and Jayjaw (Nahbois).
WARMSUN
THE KIND
"Greet The World With Open Arms!"
He Purred As Lightningstorm Beconed Him For A Patrol. He Bowed His Head, Smiling As He Replied. "You're Lovely Too, Lightningstorm! Wed All Be Dead Or Dyin' Without Ya!"
He Nodded Quickly. "Don't Expect We'd Have That Problem, Miss. Well Be Back With Some Soon As We Can!
Fernpaw! Mossystream! Let's Hurry Up, We Don't Wanna Be Out For Too Long. It May Be Warming Up, But It's Still Cold."
He Nodded Back At Lightningstorm Before Trotting Over To Be Seen By The Other Patrolling Cats. "Won't Be Much A Help If You're Sick."
He Reminded Himself, Muttering. He Couldn't Be Out Too Long. Don't Get Sick. Patrol, Then A Nap, Hopefully.
Falconbeak sat in the clearing, his left front paw hovering a bit off the ground than his other one. When the healer turned and started walking towards him, he placed it back onto the ground and turned his attention towards Lightiningstorm. The joke she made earned a ear flick and a blank stare. It's not like he hated the she-cat, he just couldn't muster up a smile. Was this... small talk?
He relaxed (as much as he normally would) when she brought up an actual purpose to the chat. He was meant to go down into the tunnels with Vinesmoke and Shrikepaw. He did tell her not to go in there without an trained cat. She had responded with disdain for the tunnels. She better suck it up because they're going. It dawned on him that he was leading this patrol, even though Vinesmoke knew more about the tunnels, so he straightened up. Falconbeak gave the medicine cat a brisk nod before turning to call out names.
"Vinesmoke, Shrikepaw, get over here." he growled into the clearing. He didn't know much about Vinesmoke but hopefully he was capable. He is a very young tunneler to Falconbeak's knowledge.

Shrikepaw
she/her - 5 moons
Shrikepaw was having the time of her life, kicking a moss ball around the clearing. What?! Who said apprentices can't have fun too? Till she was interrupted by her mentor's call. GASP. That could only mean one thing... They were going out again! Yes! The apprentice sprinted over, running a circle around the warrior - "where we goin'? What we doin'?!" She mewled excitedly. What was that other name he called? Vinesmoke? Wait... No way! Did this mean they were going on patrol? Her first real patrol?! She shifted around on her paws, awaiting a response.
Vinesmoke
14 Moons
He/Him
Vinesmoke heard his name being called and he walked over, his fur was caked in mud at this rate, he would start looking like Crowtooth when he stopped to stand in front of the other warrior, he couldn't help but catch the condensing gaze of the older tom. Oh great, another cat he had to prove himself to had excelled compared to his peers. However, it seemed like his accomplishment was overshadowed by his age, he had struggled and worked for where he was
No cat would get in the way of that, not even if that meant he had to fight his way to respect; he refused to be belittled like his father had done to him. Meeting falconbreaks' gaze, he held his head high, his blue eye bold. Now normally he would lead patrols but let's see how well Falcon can do he knew he would have to take charge once they got to the tunnels, "Mushroom patrol I heard I'm ready to go when you two are"
Berrystorm emerged from the warriors' den at the sound of her name, her ears flicking and her green hues scanning the clearing until they landed on the source---Lightningstorm.

Soooooo! Stepping outside today to get some air somehow got her recruited on patrols! The forever queen had to stop and whiplash her head towards the medicine cat after she walked up to her. That resulted in several long seconds of staring at her as her maw moved while Leopardsong was still trying to get over the fact that she was on patrol.
"This is an aboustely wonderful day." The upbeat she-cat purred loudly while doing a little dance in place. She almost tackled Lightningstorm to the ground to express her pure delight. It was hard not to give in to her need to cover the lovely medicine cat in nuzzles. Unlikely Lightnightstorm would care all that much, however, she wasn't just in the patrol she was being trusted to lead it! Leopardsong supposed she should at least act somewhat her age.
"Got it, Captain." Her paws continued to tap in place after she took in all the information Lightnginstorm gave her. "We'll get you so much chervil you'll get sick of it!" She jested, bright copper eyes following Berrystorm as she called for Emberpaw at the entrance. "And thanks Lightningstorm, you're the best." Gratitude drenched Leoapardsong's words as she padded to Berrystorm moments after Emberpaw appeared.
"Yay, everyone's here. Let's go." Leopardsong bounces out of camp, leading the patrol to the Sunset Grove with a spring in her step.
