The large tabby padded up to the Medicine Cat den. They'd had some time to settle in, but the clan still needed trained healers. What better way to start than by learning from one of their elders. He was not formally trained in much, but he could at least get them through some of the basics. Maybe some simple ailments, too, just depended on what they asked.

"T/reetiger! Dragonflypaw, why doncha come wit me inta ta territory? Gather up some herbs 'n see watcha know," Sparrowpelt called, smiling as the Bengal appeared from the darkness and offering the same friendly smile to the Spider-child.

The large tabby was always welcome to her and her friend. A familiar face and nonjudgmental warrior amongst a clan of cats who only used each other for benefits- that must be her paranoia getting the best of her. It was hard to shake the idea when she was thrown into this position without much of a say or a good reason to back out. She couldn't let Spiderstar down, no, not the cat she'd always looked up to.

So, the Bengal slithered out of the den, tail trailing behind her as she greeted the tabby and waited for her apprentice. She'd happily follow the warrior into the territory, though she cared less to learn anything about the plants.

Dragonflypaw emerged from the Medicine Den, ears slightly pricked, sunrise coloured eyes sharp. Training was always welcomed. She dearly needed it- As of right now, the only herb she knew was Poppy Seeds. And she knew a little about Moss, but not much. So. Time to go. With a gentle flick of her tail, the dark, cream speckled apprentice padded out, head held high. She nodded to Sparrowpelt, and waited by them until it time to go, while thinking. She didn't know the territory yet.. Should she mention that? Later. Dragonflypaw was proud, sometimes too proud. She'd find out eventually.

They gathered up quickly and Sparrowpelt led them out into the Territory. His tail was high with anticipation about today! He knew sometimes that irked the Medicine Cat, but she still stuck around. He basically adopted her, his own little introvert. Creepy sometimes, but it gave her something interesting enough to catch his eye. He'd flick her shoulder with his tail, avoiding the impending snap of jaws that'd break their silence.

Then, he'd turn to Dragonflypaw with a grin. "Been out inta ta territory yet? Well, here we are! The Territory! Pretty basic. It's what we fight fer 'n where we live. Great places fer hunting all sorts of prey: birds, small rodents, even ta occasional rabbit. Frogs 'n lizards too, but they're kinda... gross," Sparrowpelt chuckled a little, stopping near some bushes to point out the cobwebs on them. "We gets lots 'o bugs 'n spiders out 'ere. Spiders love ta make cobwebs, which are great fer stopping bleeding 'n great for keepin' herbs on wounds. Sticky stuff, best ta carry it wit a stick. Oh! Sticks! Stick are great fer broken bones. Put a leg 'r tail between two sticks 'n, wrap it wit some broken bones herbs, wrap that wit some cobwebs 'n tada! Got yerself a split to keep the break straight 'n healin' right!" Sparrowpelt would chat about the broken bones herbs when they came across them. There were a few options, but he wanted to show them the herbs before just talking about them.

"Yer mentor 'ere patched up a broken jaw, that's somethin' I ain't done, so that's pretty cool if ya ask me," A look from T/reetiger told him to move on from the subject and find some new herbs. Sparrowpelt was pretty bad about yapping others ears off. He was often reminded to simply shut up. Of course, though, he'd turn to Dragonflypaw and wait for any questions or comments as his paws started him towards another plant nearby.

A yellow flower sprouted from the ground, sunshine colored and delightful to the nose. "Marigold flowers, they're everywhere 'round here. Like ta be 'round water, though, but this time 'o year, it always seems ta be raining. There's water everywhere right now. Anyways! Helps keeps bugs away fer some reason. Good fer infections, though! Keeps infections away, can help stop bleeding when paired wit cobwebs. Have ta chew it up, though!" His paw tapped on the ground near the flower, thinking to himself before he remembered what he was going to add. "Oh! Chewing it up 'n putting it on stiff joints 'r broken bones can help reduce ta swelling. Very nice fer the elders when the normal herbs for achy bones is low," Sparrowpelt briefed them on probably the most commonly used herb. Once more, he'd look between them for any questions.
