Hello wonderful people of WCO! As most of you know, my baby Rainpaw has now become a warrior, and earned his well-deserved warrior name - Rainstreak. Rainstreak is a cat very dear to my heart, and when I first started roleplaying him back in June of 2023, he was 0 moons old. Now, after 19 moons of training, he is 24 moons! Yeesh, talk about a long apprenticeship. He has come a very long way from the squeaky kit he was, and has overcome many challenges along the way. Now as a warrior, It is time for him to face the biggest thing of all - Getting a mate of his own. Now why would that be a challenge for Rainstreak? Well, let me explain.

When he was 6 moons old, a flood struck RiverClan camp, resulting in Rainstreak becoming injured and losing his eye. He didn’t mind, but when Beanstar, his idol, was killed by Bumblestar in the battle of Cattail pond shortly after, that marked the beginning of his traumatic life. He was apprenticed at the age of 8 moons to RiverClan’s current deputy, Birdsnow. Due to his very bad mental health at the time, he thought the reason was due to his injury, and him thinking he was ‘useless.’ Needless to say, that changed very quickly. He started to grow close to his mentor, and she even saved his life. After being exiled by Fadingstar, he returned 6 moons later under yet another leader, Stormstar. She died soon after, and Honeypaw soon went missing. Rainpaw, tired of everything, decided to move to ThunderClan. Bumblestar allowed him in and gave him one month to complete his training, which he succeeded in doing.

Now as most of you know, Rainstreak is not very stable. What is with that? He almost refused his warrior name, and it was because he was afraid. Despite acting mature in the clan, he feels that he is a burden, and will do nothing but bring his clan down. He is afraid. He never thought about his name, and panicked about if his name would be good enough. When Spiderstar named him as Rainstreak, they loved it, and finally felt like they had succeeded. He still feels out of place in ThunderClan, but he knew it was his home through and through.

First, yall are going to need some information on Rainstreak. You can find the majority you will need below. Please read carefully, as I will be selecting not just on regular finder stuff, but on who can be the true best fit for Rainstreak.

What are some basic things I should know about Rainstreak?

Rainstreak is a 24 moon old demiboy, who uses He/They pronouns. He is very scarred, and has one eye and ear [his missing eye and ear are on the left side of his face], and half a tail, along with a burn mark on one of his hind paws. He has a scar on his shoulder, his stomach, and all over his face. His former mentor was Birdsnow, and he looks up to her like a mother. For his mate, it will be tricky, as Rain is Gay, meaning he is interested in male cats only. Your cat can be FtM, Demi, whatnot. As long as they use Male pronouns, they can be used for this finder. Rainstreak is also very insecure about his appearance, despite knowing he is not a burden, he still feels like one. So, Males only, and they have to be a max of 6 moon age gap [18-30 moons], although I would like them to be closer in age with him.

What type of cat would be best suited to be Rainstreak’s mate?

Out of the six love languages, Rainstreak most appreciates Quality Time [cuddles, hugs, anything that involves snuggles] and Affirmations [Just telling him that he’s not a bad cat]. A cat that uses these would probably go a long way in a relationship with Rainstreak. Rainstreak also likes feeling protected so cats who stand up for him would also be good for a mate. NO TOXIC CATS. My baby doesn’t need more trauma. He needs a cat who will stand up for him and be there for him. He has a huge fear of abandonment as well, due to the fact everycat who he was close to went missing or died. So please be active!!!

What is Rainstreak’s position on having kits?

Rainstreak loves kits, and always wants some of his own. He doesn’t care if they are biological or adopted. But this would have to be in the future, after the two become mates and have a strong bond. As of right now, Rainstreak hasn’t thought about having kits. In the future, that will change. I do plan on having him become a father, so keep that in mind.

What is his sexuality and gender?

Rainstreak is an AMAB demiboy, so he uses the pronouns He/Him/Himself/They/Them/Themself. He is gay, and I’m debating whether to make him poly. That being said, the cat chosen for his mate will be a male cat. As of right now, Rainstreak is only out with his gender and sexuality to Birdsnow and Birdsnow alone. This means nobody in ThunderClan should know that he's gay and demi. As your cat gains Rainstreak’s trust, he will probably come out to them. But at the beginning of their relationship, they would refer to Rainstreak as Male and Straight.

What are the requirements to become Rainstreak’s mate?

There are a few requirements. First, it has to be a male identifying cat, or at least use male pronouns. They do not have to be AMAB. Secondly, they have to be a max of 6 moon age gap [18-30 moons]. Third, Rainstreak needs a cat who will be kind to him and stand up for him. Do note that teasing will be taken seriously by Rainstreak, so keep that in mind if your cat would tease him.

What is the form to apply for Rainstreak’s mate?

There is no form for this. I would prefer you not use one, as those are boring. Forms like

Name: Perfectcat
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Appearance: A Cat
Personality: He is very sweet and likes to keep people hostage so he should be rainstreaks mate

OR

Perfectcat is a very nice cat who loves ThunderClan so he would be fit to be Rainstreaks mate

WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. I want your form to be creative, something that will pull me in. Show why you want to have the role of his mate, and make it eye-catching. This is partly because regular forms do not catch my eye, and it is very boring to go through those for such an important role for one of my most important cats. Second, I have the attention span of a toddler. I want something eye-catching that will keep me reading, wanting to know more about your cat. Lure me in.


What is the deadline?

There is no deadline for this as of right now. I will probably choose after there are 3-5 good applications, and I hope to close this by the time Rainstreak is 24 moons [The 5th of June]. So you guys should have plenty of time to get your applications in and finnese them to how you see fit.

Can I make a new cat or do I have to use an existing one?

Honestly, I do not care if you make a cat just for this, or you use one of the cats you already have. I am only looking for ThunderClan cats, so you can’t apply any other clan/outsiders.

Sootfox isn't usually an open, all paws up in the air kind of guy, but something about Rainstreak just makes him want to be around the guy. Ugh. Why did life have to be so confusing.

If You Want To Play The Lions Share Of Life- Wear A Fox's Skin

Sootfox is a calm, quiet and introspective cat who is extremely empathetic. He came from a good family, a strong, loving mother and quiet, introspective father, bit there's always one problem in a family.

And it was Soot.

Soot is a FtM trans-gender cat who was disowned by his family for choosing to be something other than his birth. This caused him to have a fear of coming out to anyone, and an uncertainty if he is worthy of love. That being said, Rainy, gets the best side of Soot, cuddles, midnight walks, utter acceptance and overall affection from this silly gay.

I kid you not, Soot is that silly man who will bring his hubby flowers just because he thought Rainy would like them.

When it comes to kits, at first Soot is apprehensive, mostly because he doesn't want to hurt his kits by not accepting them like his own parents did. Once he realizes that he is loved an appreciated, he definitely wants kits, and istg would be the best father he could ever be.

Sootfox won't stand for anyone he's close to being upset or feeling abandoned. He refuses. Something about the way it makes rage boil in his body makes him feel all icky and gross! Now, that being said-
