Risingsun had lost everything already, she was in a low place. Her sister was missing for moons now, probably dead, then her first letter all died at birth. So when her friend Mothfreeze (My oc) asked Risingsun to care for her kits, since she couldn't, she accepted reluctantly, but seeing the little bundles, she has become loving and protective.

And in the winter night sky, ships are sailing

As the kits grow up, Rising learns alongside her kits, caring and loving and always keeping a watchful eye on her kits. They are hee precious jewels, her diamonds, her everything.

When she learns of her kits disability, she at first is shocked and uncertain, but quickly becomes calm and certain. She is decisive and encouraging helping any and all of her kits overcome their struggles with her guidance.

But every cat has skeletons in their nests. those skeletons come out when her kits are in danger, and she won't hesitate to destroy.

Risingsun's silver eyes were wide, her claws ached and ears pinned. She hadn't felt this thrill since before she adopted her kits. Now her babies were in danger, and the reason they were..? They would regret it. Her eyes seemed to dull as a calm washed over her, one thought burning through her mind.

Kill. Protect.

And as the world comes to an end

Rising lunged in a flash of speed, her small body zipping forward before the tom could even react. Her sharp silver eyes dull and unresponsive as blood splattered on her white flank. She stared intently at him as a slight smile formed. "Don't ever lay a paw on my kits." She purred, sickeningly sweet as she lunged, jaws bared as her jaws latched down on the tom's spine. Blood spurted onto her harlequin maw as teeth crushed down into the muscle. The tom yowled and raced for the a way away, as the small queen followed suit, her strong jaws latching onto the tail and pulling. A sickening crack and tear of bone and flesh, as the cats tail was pulled from his body, left in her jaws. The molly spat out the tail, leaving the tom to lay there, bleeding out as she returned to her kits, herding them away from the grisly scene.

"Sh.. Mama's here.."
