Night's Barn + Territory

Night glanced around. Wherever this was, it sure wasn't the TwoLegPlace anymore. Good riddance, too, that place absolutely reeked. That kittypet who had a skull, must've had a horrible nose or something. A big TwoLeg building rose up in the distance. It would reek of TwoLegs too, probably. She was definitely not ready to sleep in another smelly building. For now, she decided, she would make her den in a log or under a bush. She found a fallen, hollowed-out, moldy log. Oh well. It reeked of mold, but at least it didn't smell of dogs and TwoLegs. In the fading daylight, she gathered together a few scraps of moss and shoved them together to form a spiky nest. Night sighed. As she curled in her nest, she considered the fact that this place was way better than the clearing she had called home before, with its grayed-out colors and barren ground.

I sure would like some visitors... she thought. Would break the monotony a little. But would it bring good or bad?

■□■□■□■━ dusk stumbled around, having fled that clan territory, tears welled up in his eyes as he realized he'd never see shadow again...she chose to fight to her death, they should have ran- and mistflow didn't make it better, stating that he should have stayed- now he was on the list of most cats to die...he broke into a sob as he fell on his side. "y-you....idiot...why" he sobbed to no one, no...he sobbed to his sister...she was dead and gone...never to return...n e v e r... ━■□■□■□■

Night yawned and stretched, about to leave to hunt, then froze when she smelled a rogue. Muscles stiff, she stalked outside. The rogue was sobbing. Sobbing cats were usually less dangerous than not-sobbing ones. Still, best to be careful. It could be a ruse. "What do you want?" she asked, the hint of a growl in her voice.

■□■□■□■━ his ears perked when he heard a voice, he jumped up, fear striking in his eyes, did the clan cats follow him to finish him off- was mistflow here to kill him "W-who do you work for?!" he hissed, fur rising up and his back arched, he looked terrified. looks like he was in a state of fear. ━■□■□■□■

Night let out a mrrow of laughter. This cat certaintly was dumb. Hopefully no threat. "I don't work for anyone except myself. My name is Night. What's yours?" Night sat down and curled her tail neatly around her paws.

■□■□■□■━ his fur laid flat as he watched the she-cat laugh. she sounded...amused. "u-uh-" he straightened himself out and tried to look all tough "I-Im dusk...I wasn't scared- just- testing you" he lied, a bad lie. ━■□■□■□■

Night snorted. "Yeah, and I'm a badger," she meowed amusedly. "Why are you so scared? You being hunted or something?" she asked Dusk. Meanwhile, she began listing out some replies that could make him leave and some that would offer him a place to stay. He seemed nice enough but Night wasn't sure if she was ready to have a denmate for a while. Nothing was decided yet, and she wouldn't tell Dusk about any of it until it was.

"Your boss is mad at you? Why? How did your sister die?" Night asked this with curiosity only, no sympathy no regret no "Sorry for your loss". She wasn't the kind who was talented with words.
