I want to consider offering you Blackberrypaw as the best friend. She, for the most part, is the calm and optimistic type of cat. In the case of a meeting with Blackpaw, she would be curious about him, she isn't one to judge off first appearances so she'd try to get to know the tom before making an opinion about him.
After the tree fell, Blackberrypaw would learn that she had lost the ability to use her hind legs (knock off briarlight lol), which would already affect her low confidence with the knowledge that becoming a warrior wouldn't be possible for her anymore. Despite the inner turmoil, she'd likely do her best to offer either comfort or just words of affirmation to Blackpaw.
I've bought a Prison escape for Blackberry since I'm returning after some months being off WCO, but once she is added back I can let you know.
