The day hadn't started as anything crazy. Peaceful, or as peaceful as it could get for Omen. She spent most of the morning honestly just walking around mindlessly. A regular in her life. What wasn't regular was the cry of some cat. Not some grown cat though, a kit. The sound alone had the fur on her neck bristling, a memory coming back like a swipe of claws. She quickly shook it off before bounding off in the direction. Next she heard Quill, the tom's words only confirming her suspicions, it was a kit she heard, and a fox at that? She threw herself into a sprint, ears perked up to guide her in the right direction.

JUNIPERKIT
Thunderclan Kit ~ 3 moons ~ She/Her
"Hello! My name is Juniper! And uh.. I'm lost. Whoops."

Well, Juniperkit was right surprised when another kit -Weepingkit, she thought- Appeared out of nowhere. And another -Why were they out here?!- Called Foxkit. The silver and white tabby trotted after them, bright green eyes flickering side to side. Something smelled funny. Like, a mixture of... something musky and strong. Eugh. Juniper did not like that scent. Shaking her head to get rid of the smell, the Thunderclan kit didn't notice the fox until it was too late.

Shrieking, the smell of blood, Weepingkit and Foxkit screaming, cats approaching from all sides, Juniperkit got an absolute heart attack. She jumped up, tail bristling, fur puffed up so she appeared twice her size- The slavering jaws of a fox were right in front of her. Now, the screams made sense.

RUN.

Juniperkit shrieked, and turned around.. Only to yowl in pain and terror when sharp, blinding pain shot through her shoulder. "Ahhh! Bad fox, bad fox! Get off of me!" The silver and white kit screeched and struggled, and slashed her little claws across the great beasts nose- Which of course, only made it mad. It opened its maw, eyes darkening, and Juniper pulled away, terrified. Her shoulder was bleeding, it was bleeding, SHE WAS BLEEDING!! A chunk had been torn out, oh no... Juniperkit vaguely thought, 'Mama will be mad at me..' Before reality surged back in and she squealed, bounding over to Weeping and Fox.

Safety in numbers and all that.

Not that it would make much difference.

Kits crying out. Shrieks piercing his ears. No. No, this wasn't right. Darker's tail shot up in panic, and he sprinted towards the sound. Kits! Kits! Oh, twigs and stars and clouds and leaves! He yowled, his breath growing heavier. This wasn't right. This wasn't right. The tom saw the large monster-like renature, and he let out a hiss of alarm. Really, he didn't want to go over there. But they were just little kits, and he had to help them.

Loner || She/her || 13 Moons || Lanky tortoiseshell she-cat with one green eye and one blue eye

Learning to be a loner meant meeting your neighbors. Since moving in with Bumblestep in the twoleg alley, Plum had become acquainted with a few others nearby. They weren't friends - she didn't even know their names. But they were reliable. Able to provide for each other when times were tough. Now was one of those times. Since the death of her savior, Plum hadn't had it in her to hunt. Days later she was weak and hungry and needed help finding food.

Not even a few pawsteps onto Quill's territory and the dark calico was smacked with chaos. The sound of screaming kits, the rancid smell of a beast, the panicked cries of Quill. Stars.

The faint sound of thundering pawsteps alerted her of others in the area heading off towards the commotion as well. Two thuds of cats leaping from the trees. Another on the way. With Quill and her involved that made it 5 cats.

Will that be enough? She wondered, shaking paws glued to the ground. Will I even be of any use? She could turn around now, scurry back to her nest and pray that the others could manage... Starclan would forgive her... right?

A sigh. No. She was given a second chance. A chance to make something of herself. And she wouldn't start her new life by letting little ones die.

Bumblestep had never taught her how to fight. Her weak slashes and tiny bites would do nothing against a fox. That would be the job of the others. She'd take advantage of the skills he had given her. As if tracking prey, Plum sped through the forest at blinding speed. The screams of the kits made them easy to find - their scents drowned out by the horrible stench of the red beast.

It didn't take long to discover the gory scene. Two of the three kittens had already taken serious damage, with the third on the verge of a breakdown. Bad. Even worse, the fox looked like it had just stumbled upon a grand feast. One more second of hesitation and the three would be lost forever.

The molly raced to put her body in between the kittens and the fox, stopping it from taking another chunk from their tiny bodies. "Behind me!" She hissed to the trio, hoping they would stay glued together. This territory smelled incredibly occupied. One of the babies wandering off could be disasterous.

"Everyone! Distract it!" A call to the others. They hadn't been far behind. Once they began the assult, she could lead the three to safety. Wherever that was...

Darker's eyes narrowed as he trailed after the other outsiders. His claws slid out, and he glared into the eyes of the ginger beasts. Foxes. He hated them. At once, his anger spread and he found himself at the front of the group. He lunged forward, lashing out.
[ rolls an eleven ]
Darker felt his claws slide into the foxes skin, ripping open its stomach, making it weaker and easier to kill. Pulling back, he let the other cats strike, his heart racing with fear and determination.

Weepingkit's eyes were stretched with fear as he ran behind one of the loners. Thank StarClan they had come to their rescue. Blood slowly trickled down his face, the wound on what used to be his ear began throbbing with pain. The shock had worn off, leaving the burning sensation of pain. Weepingkit cried quietly, fitting for his name. All of this, just because his momma went missing and he wanted to find her. Did StarClan hate him??

The sounds of paws thumping the ground was like a rhythm of drums, banging on the forest floor. The large, lean and scarred cat raced in easy bounds, ears pinned as the disgusting scent filled her nostrils. Fox. A big one at that from the silhouette.

The smoky black cat raced forward with all her might, muscles tensed and ready as she landed in the clearing, ears pinning at the scene before her. "Bigger cats hit the fox! Get it distracted! Smaller and younger ones stay back and take care of the kits!" It barked out orders quickly, taking control of the situation.

Trying his best not to tremble.

He looked at Weepy's ear - well, where it should've been - and huffed to himself.

"Hello! My name is Juniper! And uh.. I'm lost. Whoops."

Juniperkit saw Weepingkit, well, weeping, and Foxkit panicking... Well, he actually just looked mildly concerned. Juniper, however? FREAKING OUT. THe silver and white tabby huddled next to Weepingkit, wailing, blood streaming down her shoulder, a nice, lovely chunk of flesh missing. Her green eyes welled up with tears, though some had now started to trickle down her cheek.

Then, a big group of loners came- Well, at least the beautiful tabby thought they were loners. She couldn't smell any clan scent, so who else would they be? Juniperkit sniffed, pressing into Weeping's side. "Look at the b-big cats, Weeping... We'll be fine. They-they'll kill the big fox." Yes, that was right. She just had to stay with Foxy and Weepingkit, survive the bleeding (it's not that bad Juni don't be dramatic-), and let the big cats handle it all. Yes.
