like i said, im not religious but i do see merit in the emotional support and sense of community the healthy parts of religion can give to people.

that being said, id prefer to keep my opinion on any other aspects of religion to a minimum on here but would be happy to have a civilised discussion on discord as it is not my place to police other peoples believes or step into their community/support system with negativity

I had a 75 year old man who came into my job the other day and commented on my cross necklace and earring. He asked if I was a man of faith and I told him yes, I'm relatively new to it so I'm still trying to figure it out. He said to me "Look at me, I'm 75 and I'm still trying to figure it out,"

It's a complex thing. My boyfriend is trying to teach me more about it because he was also raised Christian. I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, and by all rights, none of us know how God is gonna view us until we are standing in front of him. He is the only one who can judge us, and he is the most loving and forgiving force of all. That's just my 2 cents :3

That's the million dollar question. God doesn't send us to hell. If we accept him, we go to heaven. But the reason people go to hell is because the devil pulls us there. Without God, we are unprotected from the devil. Does that make sense?
