Crowbones was stretched out in the sun, the black and white, huge and muscular tom was relaxed in the sun, eyes closed and unsuspecting of the golden kit sneaking up on his uncle. The huge tom stretched as he relaxed, his claws unsheathing as he rested. The large tom's ear twitched as he laid comfy.

Was Lionkit supposed to be out of the nursery? Well, certainly not. Mama kept saying they were too young for it... but, with so many kits, maybe he could sneak out. He looked around at the others dozing around him and carefully crawled out of the nest. He wobbled his way through the tunnel nursery. He knew where the exit was, as he had found it before.

He waddled along, little eyes narrowed to see where he was going as he saw the light of the outside world ahead of him. Clearing, here he comes!

Oh, boy. After the clan meeting, he had gotten to see how big the clearing was, but it was still so astounding! It took quite a few blinks for his little, still blue eyes to adjust. A black pelt caught his attention nearby and a grin spread across his maw. He was gonna beat Pantherkit to sneaking up on their uncle, despite how much more naturally sneaky she was.

Now, he wasn't really that sneaky, but he was so little that he didn't make much noise as long as he didn't say anything while his wobbly little legs brought him closer to his uncle. He paused at the sight of Crowbones' claws, so much bigger than the little needles at the tips of his toe beans. Perhaps he needed to change his goal. Instead of jumping on his uncle's tail, he chose his head.

Waddle. Wobble. Wiggle. Lionkit was in position and he jumped to land on his uncle's head. "UNCLE! Hi! Whatcha' doin'?" He squeaked.

Crowbones grunted as the tiny tom launched himself onto his uncles head. They chuckled and slowly reared up their head, looking at the tiny kit. "Whatcha doin' outta the nursery kiddo? Came to see your old uncle?" He chuckled, gently, making sure Lionkit safely laid down between his large paws, sheathing his huge claws.

"I was nappin' but now I'm up." He chuckled a bit, pressing his muzzle to alionkits forehead.

Pantherkit stirred slowly, her eyes opening into mere slits. She watched as a golden haze flickered past her vision, paying no mind to it until- her eyes shot open. She watched as her bulky brother walked through the entrance of the nursery, clearly trying to be sneaky. Pantherkit slowly stood up, her lithe form slinking between her sleeping siblings and mother. Unfortunately, her paws were a bit bigger than the rest of her, so she was stumbling quite a bit. Nothing would stop her though.

The she-kit slowly poked her head out of the nursery, peeking out at the clearing. She walked out slowly and carefully, trying her hardest not to make any noise. There weren't any shadows for her to hid in, unfortunately so. She would just have to be extra careful. Pantherkit slowly stumbled across the clearing, keeping her eyes out for the familiar golden pelt of her brother.

That furball! Snuck out to see Uncle Crow without her! The audacity! She stalked closer, stumbling over her oversized paws a few times, but luckily not attracting their notice. Her green gaze locked onto Crowbones tail, flicking behind him while Lionkit sat by his face. She would just have to manage to slink by without them catching her. And that she did.

The she-kit slunk across the clearing, keeping just out of range of the two toms. Luckily, Lionkit was far too interested in talking to Uncle Crow. Surely reveling in his temporary victory of beating her to him. Pantherkit slowly
but surely slinked closer, and when the timing was right, she pounced on their Uncle's tail.

"Gotcha!" the she-kit squealed, her eyes alight with mischief. She shot a sideways glare at Lionkit, then another one at Crowbones. She shook her head in feigned indignation. "Sneaking out of the nursery, tsk tsk tsk Lionkit," she mewed, a playful giggle behind her voice. Yes, she had snuck out too, but that was beside the point. Lionkit did it first.

"Whoa!" Lionkit was not expecting slide off his uncle's head and land, gently, between his big paws. He shook his fluffy pelt out and sat to look up at Crowbones. "Yeah-huh! I gotted you, too!" The kit replied, proudly puffing out his little chest.

He giggled as his uncle nuzzled his head, swatting playfully at his muzzle. "Nappin's for babies, uncle Crow!" He squeaked. "Let's play, instead-" However, he was quickly cut off by a call from a familiar voice. Leaning to the side, the golden tom kit narrowed his eyes and glared at Pantherkit. "So'd you, furball!" He sneered, though still holding a playful tone. Then, he looked up at his uncle.

"Uncle Crow jus' got done sayin' how AWESOME I am, right, Uncle Crow?" He asked with big eyes looking up at.

Crow chuckled to himself, rolling his eyes calmly, his sharo gaze turning to Pantherkit. "Alright you two troublemakers. If ya both go back in the nursery, I'll teach ya moss ball, how's that?" He smirked at the kits, sharp gaze calm yet intense, like he was not asking. This was a either you listen and have fun, or don't and face uncle crow's terrifying wrath. Crowbones was scary enough without being mad at them.

The large tom carefully hauled himself up, slightly slouched (istg crowbones is literally just Scar but not a lion-) as he looked at the two kits. "First one back in the nursery an' once yer old enough ill teach ya my special battle move." He smirked, he knew damn well that would get both kits screeching into the nursery.

Pantherkit rolled her eyes at Lionkit's initial remark. "Yeah, well... you did it first," she squeaked, her nose in the air. Then Uncle Crow made a deal with them. "Oooo mossball!," she squeaked. She started for the nursery, and when she heard Crow's other proposition, she beelined. She WOULD be the one to learn his special move. Nobody else!

Everyone kept bringing up this "Mossball" game. It was starting to really catch his interest. He huffed as Pantherkit started running and chased after her. Then, a new piece was brought up. No way. NO WAY! "Pantherkit, watch out!" Lionkit squeaked, knowing that the only way to beat her was to distract her. She was so much faster, it was unfair!

He pelted for the nursery entrance, whether Pantherkit was successfully distracted or not. He just needed to go faster than he ever could've before! Faster than Pantherkit! Faster than the rabbits on the moors! Faster than flying hawks! Faster than... uh... He ran out of fast things to name, so, he just tried his best to keep running as fast as his little body could... or not.

Alas, he was not meant to win this race. Whether he managed to get ahead of his sister or not, trying to run so fast with such big paws and so little experience... Well, all it took was a slight uneven spot in the ground for the golden kit to tumble forward, bonking his nose into the ground and tasting the dirt of the clearing while he skidded across the earth.

As little tiny babies are bound to do, unless it is mentioned to him, Lionkit doesn't even realize there was supposed to be any pain as he bounced back up and kept running for the nursery.
