Milkbee was suddenly awoken by a sharp pain, a type of pain she had never felt before. With a pained yelp, she shifted in her nest to get up to her paws, desperately wanting it to stop.

"Rising-" She tried to call out, but her cry for help was cut off by a strained yowl. Why wouldn't the pain stop??? It was horrible. But it could only mean one thing. Though, she was in way too much pain to think and analyse her situation. "RISINGSTORM!" The queen finally managed to grit out, suppressing another pained yowl. She crumpled to the ground, a weak whine escaping from her throat.

Before she knew it, all the pain was worth it. Five kits. Five beautiful kits. Ha. Beautiful. If you had told her only a few moons ago she would have kits and find them beautiful... She would have laughed in your face. But these kits... They were hers. Hers and Risingstorm's. And she couldn't be any more happy. She drew her tongue over each of the kits' heads, purring softly with each affectionate lick.

Thunderkit
Small, deaf kit with caramel brown fur and braided tabby markings and splotches of white. Soft green eyes and an extra toe in one of his paws. Also wobbly.

It was cold until it wasn't. It was suffocating until it wasn't. It was dark until it wasn't (It still is shhh). The small tom kit let out a shrill squeal, quite loud for his size... And age. Instinctively, he moved closer to Milk|bee's belly, shoving past his littermates with his weak and frail body.
He felt a warm tongue atop his head, gently licking the fur there before it moved onto someone else.

The tiny, fluffy mass managed to somehow be rolled helplessly onto her back, flailing her paws as she mewled. She couldn't hear or see anything, and something...warm and coarse rubbed against her head! What was this?!

The world was peaceful, outside of a few squeaks here and there, the little kit felt something warm licking over his small body. Where was he? He didn't know. The little honey mottled kitten stayed frozen in place, not crying, but little streams of tears ran down his face. He didn't move and he didn't squeak like the other kits. He was just...stationary.

A small cream colored kit with white unders and tan chest with blue eyes with small green hetechromia

WheatKit huffed, his paws gently gliding over the surface of the ground beneath him. To young to see or hear yet, depending on what little he had. Letting out a muffled squeak.

The world became a symphony of noise to her new, caring ears. For before she had no recollection, but now, beyond the blindness of her new living-state, the sounds of the world intimidated her. Orchidkit was such a small, mewling kit that any movement was feeble. She shuffled close to the warm body of her mother, squealing with a serene joy as she waddled, surrounded by her siblings.

[this takes place before the second otter fight!]

Risingstorm was sleeping hard in the warriors den missing the warmth of his mate, maybe the next night he should sleep with her in the nursery, yeah that would be nice. Or he could go snuggle with her now as a fun surprise, yeah. Standing up and shaking off his fur he slowly made his way to the nursery looking up at the moon for a slight moment, before he heard his name being called by milkbee. The hornet quickly sprinted over to the nursery he was wide awake now.

The hornet looked at his new kits with large eyes and let out a loud purr they are perfect bee, you did wonderful he purred giving a lick to his mates head before giving each of his kits a lick too we should name them. he meowed scanning all four kits lets name…the smallest one fennelkit he had no clue what a fennel was, but it sounded nice, his forest green gaze turned to the cream colored kit and, this one can be wheatkit he said helping nudge the kits up to milkbee the other two were unnamed, the other two were for milkbee to name.

Milkbee purred with delight when Risingstorm entered the Nursery, the pain she'd endured completely slipping from her mind. It was all worth it. Worth the struggle.

"Fennelkit and Wheatkit... They're beautiful names..." The queen breathed, gaze flicking over to the second and third unnamed kit. Perhaps she'd give these little ones another nature adjacent name. "Orchidkit, for this one. Seems like it would fit. Delicate and sweet, just like the flower, hopefully. Honeykit for this adorable one... They seem just the right kit for such a sweet name. And for the last one..." She paused, gently nosing the last unnamed kit. She could give the last one another nature-adjacent name... Keep the theme going... But she felt there was a better name for this one.

"... Thunderkit, for the last one. What do you think, Risingstorm?" She turned a bright-eyed gaze at her mate, grinning from ear to ear.
