Salamanderpaw's felt odd since returning from that brief stint outside of the clan. Like something has been jostled loose, leaving her unmoored. Wobbly.

Yeah. She feels wobbly.

Which is totaly stupid, because cats blip in and out of the clan all the time. And sometimes they cone back (her). And sometimes they don't (her mother, Beastflame, Waspmeadow, too many others to count). It's fine. Or at least, it's normal. Salamanderpaw just doesn't like that it's something that she did. It feels wrong.

So, how to right things?

She's decided it wouldn't hurt to plant some more roots. Make some more friends. Or at least, more connections. Good or bad or something else entirely.

"YOU! Vinepaw. You're Vinepaw, right? Get over here!!"

sometimes she got absorbed in hatred that should have rotted away moons ago, and now was one of those times. not only at the traitor, but at herself for not doing more about it. she knew she shouldn't dwell in the past, but her attempts to drift away from the subject.

she should have never let herself befriend a disloyal- no, she hadn't known at the time- she shouldn't have let herself befriend another cat. it's not that all cats were terrible, it's that it wasn't worth the risk. she knew that now, though, and to live is to learn, so why was she still upset about this?

she repeated these thoughts in her head, forming a loop of unpleasant thoughts until she heard her name, ending the torture. she turned her head to her clanmate. "yes?"

"What're you up to today?"

Salamanderpaw is standing too close. She often is. Too close, too loud, too fast—she was born too much and she'll die no less. She sees no issue with it. Eyes, blue and gold, stare-blink-stare. She is not very good at talking to other cats, but there's no telling her that.

"Because I'M not doing anything so I figured I'd just kick it with you if that's alright. I mean, obviously it's alright. But if you're not doing anything either then we need to work on that. Do you want to fight? Let's fight, anything else would be BORING."
