Morningpaw cheered Wildkit- No, Wildpaw's name until his throat hurt. Finally, his friend had caught up to him. And got the mentor they wanted! The moment he was allowed to, the dark tabby ran up to the calico, pouncing playfully on him until they rolled over and over across the grass. "Wildpaw! Now we can train together!" Morning said, grinning his cute, lopsided grin. Lot's of things about him were lopsided, his roleplayer now realised. Including his lopsided-skipping way of walking. Hm.

Wildpaw! This was amazing! The newly named apprentice beamed, first to Morningpaw, then to Blackjaw. His best friend and his new mentor! This was the best day EVER! It didn't even matter how unusually oily his pelt felt and looked. It was all completely forgotten in the euphoria of finally getting to be named an apprentice. It felt so long and so short at the same time.

He was so excited. He would get to train and share the den with Morningpaw! Now he had a right to tease him for how he walked, right? Surely, that was what it meant to be equals, now. Perhaps later he would! Or maybe he wouldn't. He was too excited to plan like that right now!

Mosstangle purred and looked at Blackjaw, sitting up straight before pushing against his shoulder. "Get moving, furball," She chuffed playfully. "Go touch your apprentice's nose and sit with him." Sure, it might leave her in the rain, but he needed to start bonding with Wildpaw. They would get to go to the grove soon, even if it meant waiting for the white tom to properly greet and plan with Wildpaw.

Blackjaw stood still, leaning against Mosstangle in a vain attempt to keep himself from shaking in nerves. His ears perked and his golden gaze locked with Dawnstar's for a moment when she said his name. His stomach churned in anticipation for the mere moment before she continued- and for that moment, all was still.

The tom's eyes widened, a deep joy sparking inside his gut at the words. Wildpaw. His apprentice. He was a mentor. The white tom looked over at Mosstangle, a grin slowly forming on his face. As she nudged him away, he purred and nudged her cheek with his nose one last time before turning to meet his new apprentice.

"Hello Wildpaw," the tom purred, meeting the newly appointed apprentices golden gaze with his own. "We're gonna make the best team kiddo," he mewed, as he dipped his head to touch his apprentices nose, before sitting beside him and gazing back at Dawnstar as she called up the current apprentices. The tom was determined to remove the doubt in her mind about him.

Did she? Did she? Of course she did. This was all she’d worked for. This was anything any apprentice would have worked for. She almost flinches when Dawnstar approaches her and Sleekpaw, the large tabby towering over her.

“… Yes. I do.” Icepaw spoke softly, enough for Dawnstar to hear. It was quiet, but filled with determination and purpose. She was ready to a warrior.

Weepingpaw arrived rather late to the meeting, having been napping. It was wet outside, but he didn't mind. He was in time to hear about the new apprentices. "Bunnypaw, Wildpaw, Petalpaw," He cheered, mostly happy to see that they had a new denmate.

A shade of color caught his attention, causing him to lift his head skyward. There, hidden in the branch, was a cat! They can climb the trees in the camp? With this newfound knowledge, Weepingpaw, doing his darnest not to attract his mother's glare, he padded up to the base of the tree the cat was in and lunged upwards, sinking his claws into the bark and climbing up the tree. It was hard climbing a tree when it was wet; it was hard pushing off the bark with his hind legs, and everything was slippery. However, climbing was fun, and he loved it. His tail stretched as he reached the branch the cat was on, and carefully left the trunk to stand on the branch behind her.

"Hi!" He chipped, staring at Birdcho with the biggest grin on his face. He knew this cat, Momster, called her granddaughter. But not the Herb... Sleepysunrise, who was also called granddaughter. Weepingpaw assumed it was like having multiple sons and daughters, but he didn't understand the whole grand part of the name. He wanted to be grand too! But anyway, she was family, so she was safe.
