Eaglewing padded up to the Skyridge, settling within the crowd with her tail curled over her white paws. Things had been relatively peaceful in camp as of late, which simultaneously kept Eaglewing sane and drove her mad. She was pleased--beyond pleased--that RiverClan had seemingly gotten their act together under Owlstar's reign, but peace times were prime for suspicion and anxiety. The dread of another disaster was almost as agonizing as the disaster itself. At least for Eaglewing. But she was trying to remain hopeful. She wasn't the same apprentice who saw the worst in everything. Nope! New name, new Eagle. And besides, she was an active member of the clan now! It felt good. She didn't want anything to ruin that.

Skywalker stretched languidly from his naptime spot in the clearing, peering up at Owlstar on the Skyridge. Their excursion in the woods had stuck with him, and he considered asking her to go out again. He'd kept his distance from the high ranks purely because it seemed like being close to them was a one-way ticket to disaster, but Owlstar seemed cool. If nothing else, he might have a fishing buddy. He plopped down and loafed at the edge of the crowd, his large stature and bright fur making him look like a sandy rock.
Willowtail wrapped her tail around Nightshadekit as the small tom cuddled to her side. Daisypaw sitting beside her sister as she watched and waited.

Amberkit purred, the small she-cat looking up at her sister. Me an' Wishkit should be apprentices this meeting! She exclaimed, beaming. She watched as Wishkit rolled her eyes and sighed, pursing her lips. C'mon, Wishkit! Aren't you excited? We get to be like Daisypaw! Pride burst from her blue gaze, a smile crossing her maw.

Nightshadekit looked at his older sister. "Your so loud..."
Stagheart padded up to the meeting, a few familiar pelts catching his eye. He sauntered over and sat himself beside Willowtail, giving Daisypaw a flick on her shoulder in greeting as well. "Hey there... the kits behavin'?" He wondered, eyes shining as he looked down at the little rascals by her paws.
The large tabby dipped his head to Amberkit and Wishkit, too. "You said yer becomin' apprentices today, eh? Good. Best of luck with that," he meowed, as gruff as ever but not without a politeness to him.

Berryshine padded into the meeting as well. She had a few things on her mind, and so she stuck off towards her usual spot, not looking to speak with anyone — but that didn't stop her from listening to her adoptive family from afar, whiskers twitching in endearment. She'd come by to visit the kits another time... for now, she had to think about what had been weighing on her.
An apprentice...
Was it finally time...? Perhaps she'd speak to Owlstar and Sunheart after this meeting. A distant but thoughtful look was in her green eyes as she quietly sat, awaiting the beginning.

Willowtail gently purred at Stagheart. "As much as they ever will" she said in amusement. Puffing hr chest in pride as she said. "Little Wishkit and Amberkit are gonna be apprentices" Willowtail gently licked Nightshadekit's ear. "Though these little ones got 2 more moons. " Nightshadekit saw Stagheart and purred. "Grandpa!!" He stumbled over to Stagheart, his weirdly long tail reaching up, a trait he clearly got from his mother. Nightshadekit looked exactly like Brightnight except, he had two black paws, a black chin and chest. And bright green eyes. Besides that he was a replica of his grandmother. Willowtail gently purred at her son. Still thinking about how Littlekit had been a stillborn and Redkit had passed due to not having a strong system. Willowtail sighed gently. She only had little Nightshadekit and Blossomkit left in her stead. Though it was OK sense she had adopted Amberkit and Wishkit.
"Amberkit, Wishkit settle down until your called. Nightshadekit stay with grandpa or me don't go wandering like you like to" Willowtail mewed. Her blue eyes flaring in amusement as Nightshadekit stopped in his tracks. His green eyes guilty as he had already started sneaking away. He went back to Stagheart and sat with a huff. "Mommy's mean...."
Willowtail's ear twitched at her son's comment
Daisypaw watched gently. Letting her fur brush Stagheart's as he walked past. "Hey" she mewed with a smile. Daisypaw purred gently as she watched Willowtails mothering. Daisypaw heard Nightshadekit's comment, about to say something until Willowtail stopped her. "Let him get scolded by Stagheart. He hears it from us to much maybe grandpa can put some respect in that boys mouth" Willowtail meowed calmly

"Spiderpaw's a nice name." It wasn't one that she really heard much. It might not be the most overly Riverclan themed name, but neither was her name. The tip of her tail flicked as she considered his her own training was going. Of course the question would be mirrored back to her. "It's... Good. I think I could do more, but I think my mentor wants to take it slow for now and... Asking another warrior for training seems intimidating?"
SPIDERPAW
Riverclan Apprentice | 8 moons | Lanky, amber eyed, blue-grey tabby she-cat with white paws, chin, and tail tip.

Spiderpaw felt herself relax a little bit at the compliment, though she felt bad for not complimenting Sprucepaw's name first. Would it just be copying her if she did it, now? "Not as nice as Sprucepaw..." She mewed. It felt fairly true. Spiders were definitely not as nice as a spruce tree. Besides, the name came from being lanky, a trait she didn't much enjoy having.
Asking other warriors for training... "...It is pretty scary... but, most warriors... and the Lionhearts, too... They're usually pretty happy to train apprentices." Spiderpaw told the other apprentice, tail tip twitching lightly. "M-my first mentor, Hollylynx... She disappeared... So, I started asking others for training." It helped that at least one of the others was her dad. The first one outside of her own mentor that she'd asked to train her. "I know that... Heroneye offers battle training... I-if you still need that... Want me to ask her?" She liked Heroneye. The lionheart had seemed pretty nice.

Sprucepaw

"Thank you, but it's nothing special..." She mumbled. Sprucepaw was nice, but there were far better ones out there. The reasoning for her name had to be based around her green eyes. At least, that seemed like the only reason to her. It wasn't like she could ask her parents. Her head tilted as she considered Spiderpaw's offer. It was awfully nice, and she really couldn't say no. "I have a little battle training, but it never hurts to have more. Would it be okay to go with you? It's... well, it'd be rude of me to have you do it yourself and just wait around."

Spiderpaw decided it was better not to press the humble apprentice. She liked Spruce, though, and it was funny that their names started with the same sounds. She did wonder what it meant to Sprucepaw's parents when they named her, but there were plenty of things that it could mean. Too many for her to even try to start guessing.
The tabby's amber eyes scanned the clearing for Heroneye, but the apprentice didn't immediately catch sight of the lionheart. She wondered where she was. "Of course... maybe we can ask for an advanced course together...?" Spiderpaw offered quietly, not sure if Sprucepaw would be as interested as she was. She seemed nice, and there was a bit of comfort in how the other apprentice seemed just about as nervous as she was.
"I don't see her right now... Maybe we can find her later...?" There were a lot of cats here. She probably just couldn't see Heroneye through the crowd of gathered riverclanners.
Heroneye trotted up to the meeting, probably just in time to catch Owlstar's first announcement. She wasn't late per se, but she figured she should probably be more punctual than that if she wanted to set a decent example--and help with any trouble that may arise, given RiverClan... well, being RiverClan. Enough said.
She took up her spot under the Skyridge, looking up at Owlstar expectantly. With any luck, this would be a fairly peaceful meeting.
(heroneye is ready and willing to be approached for training if you want!)
Primroseadder - RiverClan Queen 27 Moons ; She/Her
Killer Aptitude Tier 3 | Ultimate Predator | Go with the Flow | Shadow Fiend
Primroseadder followed her three remaining kits out of the nursery, her emerald eyes glimmering with pride. Once they were beneath the Skyridge, the queen leaned down and began to wash their ruffled fur.
“It’s your big day, ‘n ya need ta look nice for it,” she meowed firmly, her tongue swiping across their fluffy pelts. “I don’t want Owlstar thinkin’ I raised ruffians. Nope, no way!”
CYPRESSKIT
Riverclan Kit ~ 4 moons ~ She/Her
"Someday I'll be as good as you"
Cypresskit came up with her siblings and parents, rosetted tabby looking proud, chest puffed out. Today was the day, Primroseadder said! She would be an apprentice! Finally. The large she-kit stayed near her siblings the whole time, watching around carefully. No one would sneak up, no no. She could totally fight them off! Cypress watched the warriors all the time... How hard could it be?
The brown and white kitten grumbled slightly when her mother tried to lick her fur, and wriggled away, promptly falling over Freezingfury's paws instead. As the largest, (totally) oldest kit of the litter, this wouldn't do! Cypresskit stood up, shook out her pelt, and groomed it herself, then permitted Primrose to touch it up neatly before ducking away again. "So, i's for reals, an' we're actually becomin' appren'ces today??" The kit said excitedly, hardly able to believe it. I mean, she was obviously ready, but still!
"That sounds good." Sprucepaw said with a nod. She craned her neck, trying to spot the Lionheart in the crowd. There were a lot of cats, and a few of them looked similar from behind. She'd seen Heroneye a few times at meetings like this, but they'd never talked before. That part wasn't a surprise; with how much Sprucepaw still had trouble talking to others.
At the edge of the crowd, Sprucepaw spotted some movement. "That's her, right?" The tortoiseshell motioned with her head in the direction of Heroneye. She stood up, waiting for Spiderpaw's confirmation before heading over.
