Copperpaw is a sweet apprentice. She loves every cat in her Clan (unless they were mean to her at any point) and would be a great caretaker. She's 8 moons old (+1 every 30) and has plenty of her life to devote to being a medicine cat.

Herbal Knowledge: Whilst not knowing many herbs, she's a quick learner, and would take fast to memorizing. She can't handle extremely graphic injuries or births.

She's not going anywhere, as she's my favorite character. I haven't been on the site for long (about half a year) but I feel like I could handle being a High rank. Especially with Copperpaw. From the minute I created her (and you know this, squidz), I was bothering you about her being a medicine cat apprentice. Deputy or leader isn't for me, as I don't like to be in charge much, but being a medicine cat apprentice seems like a safe bet. My computer isn't restricted, but I do lose summer due to the fact I must turn it in.

Lichenkit has always been a kind cat, though their early life has been marred by a turbulent family life. They're friendly, curious, lover of rocks and shells, and always trying to be optimistic. Fearful of fighting, Lichenkit has always wanted to see things end peacefully. Especially when her brothers were butting heads. Truthfully, while Lichenkit wishes to fit in with the clan, they worry that their desire to avoid bloodshed and clumsiness will make her a poor warrior. That doesn't mean they won't try to help the clan however they can. Riverclan is almost all she has left, with only one brother still around.

Hello, it's Nahbois! Like a couple other people who have applied, I've been around since the beginning of the year. Though my schedule has me waking up early in the mornings, it does leave me free for most of the afternoon and evening (barring plans of course). I do have discord, and am willing to give it out as needed! While it's been a few years, I have been an officer in a few roleplay groups over the years. Now I'll admit those MMO roleplay guilds were smaller than this forum, but I believe the communication and planning skills are still applicable.

Lichenkit is also one of the first characters I made on the forum, and I love the lil'kitty. So even if they don't become the medicine cat apprentice, they'll still be around. Like how they're willing to learn, I hope to be like them and take on tasks and figure out new things. And once again, good luck to everyone!

Spiderpaw is a fairly quiet and nervous little apprentice on the outside, but she is actually very passionate and diligent. She finds joy in learning new things, as well as teaching others when she gets the chance(Though she frequently assumes that she has no place teaching others, yet). Spiderpaw absorbs information like a sponge, and tries to put everything she learns to good use, even when others may think what she does is unrelated to another. She enjoys figuring things out on her own as well, and has quite the spirit for challenges. She is clever and enjoys problem solving. Putting the pieces together in any puzzle is very satisfying for her.

She is deeply compassionate and tends to be unbiased in how she makes choices. Spiderpaw will always do her best for others, even at the risk of herself. She wants nothing more than to take care of her clanmates. She often takes a backseat to her clanmates, trying not to bother others and help where she can, instead, but not without ensuring that she is still progressing where she needs to. While prone to it, she does not like to neglect herself.

History:

 

Spiderpaw was born in Riverclan. She was Minnowrain and Creekberry's third and final litter along with her sister, Weevilpaw.

Creekberry died due to complications shortly after kitting. When they were young, a fox had weaseled its way into the nursery and injured Weevilkit, and striking a deep fear into Spiderkit. Spiderkit clung to her father after this incident, afraid of every shadow for many moons. With a caring father pushing her in the right direction, she was eventually able to start moving forward again with the need to be able to defend and care for her clan.

On her promotion ceremony to apprentice, Spiderpaw was assigned to Hollylynx, who made a few promises and showed her most of the territory... but soon disappeared without a trace. This forced the anxious apprentice to reach out herself to further her own training as a warrior apprentice. She asked her father to teach her how to hunt, which went well, but she did wind up getting pinched pretty bad by a crab. That resulted in a minor infection and soon left a scar on her face. A reminder to take care of little things before they become bigger issues.

Spiderpaw soon reached out more and attended training events to continue her training. She completed basic and some advanced battle training with Heroneye. She learned to fish at an event with Eaglewing. Eventually, she was reassigned to Softsky as her mentor, though old habits die hard an she continued seeking her own lessons to advance herself.

She learned to swim with Fallenspirit, who was harsh at first, but after almost drowning in the undertow at Lionsbeach, he relaxed. She had seen starry eyes in the water and slowly grew convinced that they were starclan, but put it on the backburner to take care of Fallenspirit, who broke down and told her about his past and his nightmares.

The future of Spiderpaw:

 

Spiderpaw is meant to grow more confident in herself and her abilities. She may never be without anxiety, but she learns to cope and separate her fears from reality. She grows up to share her love of training and learning new things, passing down not only what she is taught, but the things she learns on her own.

One of the big confidence boost plots that she is involved in is Fallenspirit's search for the truth behind his parents' demise.

Outside of the above mentioned, she is not currently involved in any plots and I, personally, have no interest in killing her off. I honestly just want to watch her grow and see how it goes IC.

Does Spiderpaw want to be a medicine cat?

 

Spiderpaw would be hesitant to believe it at first. Her own self-esteem would say that she isn't deserving of such a position, and she might have mixed feelings, at first, since she had spent so long working towards becoming the best warrior she could. However, she would accept the new duties in stride and change focus quickly to make the clan proud and ensure they are taken care of. She would love the nature of the work, the new challenges it would bring, and learning the complexity of her new tasks.

Berryshine:
First and foremost, Spiderpaw does like Berryshine very much. She feels very comforted by the current medicine cat, enough so to approach her directly for more training on herbs. Berryshine's first impression IC gave her a lot of confidence in approaching her about just about anything, as well as in bringing others to her when necessary.

Sunheart:
No direct interactions have happened, just Spiderpaw trying not to embarrass herself in front of him during the fishing training event. She still holds a lot of respect for him, but has had no need to approach him for anything yet and, naturally, tries not to approach and bother anyone unless it is absolutely necessary.

Owlstar:
No IC interactions really exist, and Spiderpaw would be quite intimidated by the very idea of bothering her leader about anything at all. She does hold respect for Owlstar, but still has yet to get over her anxiety to directly approach her for any reason.

Well, lets be honest. I do not have a huge history on WCO. I've been on the site since the beginning of March. I've learned a lot pretty quick and adore the history of the clans that I got from @/dino. It's been such a fun ride so far and I want to help the clans flourish. I have no intent on leaving any time soon, and very much love the community here.

I love the creative writing process and LOVE working with others on big projects. I do have a tendency to throw things at the wall to see if they stick, which is a big reason I like team projects because then I have someone to tell me that, just because the spaghetti sticks to the wall does not mean it's edible. I enjoy creating stories, but especially love bouncing off of others' ideas. I'm not squeamish and can handle dark and light topics well. I love pushing characters to be better, or worse if the story calls for it. I like adaptable stories more than anything, and a healthy bit of tension and conflict is never a bad thing.

I like to be very organized, and have a couple of spreadsheets to help me keep track of everything I have so far on the site, so adding another one would only be natural for keeping track of everything.

I never wrote Spiderpaw to become a medicine cat apprentice, though recently it did come to mind a couple times since she visited Berryshine the first time. I like to write as true to a character as I can, and since she loves learning so much, she has definitely had learning herbs and more about taking care of her clanmates on the brain.

I am active almost every day, and I am already on the discord. I'm an open book, so always feel free to ask me questions... because I will definitely be asking plenty of them. I am a hands-on learner, but take written instruction fairly well as long as it is step-by-step.

Why?: Nightkit is kind, and very observant. She notices things that others don't, and will take actions she seems appropriate for the situation. Though she is hopeful, and keeps herself and everyone around her in good spirits, she is realistic, and understands the implications of different actions taken, especially since she is very wise for her age. Night is polite, and super curious, trying not to overwhelm others with questions, but also being determined to learn everything she can.

She loves herbs, so much that she even smells like them, specifically Rosemary. Her presence is calming, as proven time and time again, and she will offer a listening ear and kind words when she can't offer anything else. Her memory is excellent, and it doesn't take much for things she's been told to stick with her. Her dedication is evident in everything she does, and she will stick out a task until the end, no matter how difficult it gets. Her heart belongs with Riverclan, and her perseverance is endless. Though she can be lonely, and a little shy, because both of her parents died when she was very young, this she-cat will step in when she deems it necessary, and though she is kind, if need be, Night will be firm and unyielding, to make sure her patients get the care they need.


Positive Vibes: Nightkit loves Berry, and has already interacted with her a few times. Herbs are her passion, something she and the Medic share, and she eagerly takes any information taught to her and absorbs it easily. Being naturally curious, Night asks questions easily, and is always looking to improve, to be better, and to come up with creative ideas for things if need be. Riverclan is her heart, of utmost importance to her, and she will do anything for it. Growing relations with her clanmates, Nightkit is slowly gaining more friends, and people are drawn to her quiet but caring personality.

Patience, positivity, and curiosity are staples in her life, and all of these reflect in her actions. She is both a visual and an auditory learner, quick to remember and ask different levels of knowledge. She would uplift Riverclan with her quick thinking and gentle demeanor, and her quirky way of constant questions may annoy some, but ultimately is a tool that she wields with top skill and certainty.


Alas, Every Character Has Flaws: I'm gonna be honest here. Nightkit is a beautiful child, but everyone has their flaws, and she is no exception.
Though she's totally fine with blood and death and painful things, if too much time is spent investing in a cause only for it to be lost, she can get very emotional. Though she hides well when she wants to, she will definitely cry about it later. But nothing stops her once she has a goal in mind, and she will focus on it with a single-minded intensity, so that she does it to the best of her ability. Because of this drive, she may be a little.. intense. But the main takeaway from this point is that if she feels she can help Riverclan better, then she will lose sleep and food over it, possibly needing a reminder that she too, needs to help herself.


Herbal Knowledge: Star already knows about five different herbs, thanks to both her Purrk, and the things she picks up from Berryshine. She is an open learner, taking and making something from nothing, and will pounce on every opportunity to learn. She is passionate about herbs and healing, and if someone asked, she could go on about it for hours. She shares this love with Berry, and I think the two get along very well. She is a quick understander, once her questions have been answered, and is very adaptable, working to replace something quickly if a certain needed herb is absent. She is organized and neat, having everything in convenient spaces that are well maintained. She has an excellent memory, and knows exactly what to do and when- as long as she's prepared, and taught properly beforehand.


Loyalty: Star is loyal, loyal to a fault sometimes, and Riverclan is at the heart of that. She defends it fiercely in the way only she can, and won't stand for nonsense. When it comes to patients, she will get very protective over them, depending on the severity of the injury, and won't let anyone interfere if she deems it unsafe. She will hide her own feelings if the patient feels uncomfortable or something, but generally, she believes it's better to show feelings. It makes the space feel.. safer, more open. Easier to relax when the one treating you has a friendly face and small-talk, rather than an emotionless demeanor.

IC HR Relations: Nightkit here has interacted with Berryshine quite a bit, and I feel like their dynamic is very good. She shares a passion and love for herbs with the Medic, and though they are both rather quiet and shy, she would definitely come out of her shell a little with a position that means so much to her.
As for Sunheart and Owlstar, Star hasn't interacted with them personally, but she holds a deep respect for them.

Future: As she grows, especially with the role, she will slowly become more confident. Her ability to remain positive may be tested, but it will prove her resilience, and grow her ability to think straight under pressure. I have no interest at all in killing her off, because she's very close to my heart, and part of me will remain with her, always. She may have a few bumps in the road, but doesn't everyone?

One plot ideas I have for her is that one her first patients is a major confidence boost for her. it might be her friend, who gets injured, and she has to heal a scratch/wound. She is sure in her abilities, until Star sees the wound. Then she has a moment where she starts to question if shes good enough. But with some encouragement from berryshine, she'll quickly get it over with. The friend praises her, and she practically cries. After that, her confidence will be even better, and she'll be more comfortable with telling cats what to do, and speaking with strangers.

Does She Want To Be Medicine Cat?: Yes. More than anything. It's a secret, lifelong dream of hers. The clan took her in and the queens raised her, even though both her parents were gone, and she wants to repay that a thousand times over. Her heart will be in it wholeheartedly, and she will not ever give up. Giving up, and failure, isn't an option when it comes to her home. Star will give it her all, making sure that the least amount of cases possible die or have complications. Nightkit would be living her dream, and she'll make sure Riverclan is bountiful for it.

Backstory: Nightkit was just a little child when her parents (NPC's) died. Her mother died giving birth to her, and her only sibling was stillborn. Her father died in a border skirmish just one moon later, so she's been alone most of her life. The queens of the Nursery took it in turns to take care of her, and though she's grateful, she never really clicked with anyone. Her father was never very close with her, becoming cold and mean after her mother died. Throughout all that, she never stopped loving him. When she met Berryshine, it was like a dream, come true for Star. She sees Berry as a friend, someone to go to, and loves to listen to her teachings. Curiosity has always run in her veins, and she shows that through her questions.

Star had to mature slightly faster than most kits her age. She took care of herself, since no one else would, and was organising her days and schedules long before she could properly talk. Loyalty and kindness are big parts in her life, even back then, and she would help out and play with any kits in the Nursery, paying special attention to those malnourished, maltreated, or simply lonely. Because of this, she is wiser than her years, and this will be shown with the deep thoughts that she rarely shares with others.

Values: Nightkit shares many good values with many good people. Above all, she favours kindness, loyalty, dedication, and learning. She has a passion for herbs and learning, constantly asking questions and experimenting. She is creative and adaptable, quick on her paws, and will not hesitate to try out new herbs and mixes. She is kind to everyone, no matter who they are, and though she may get slightly annoyed if people don't listen when it's serious, she has a calming presence, and makes sure it stays that way. She will always help, and where herbs don't make a difference, talking might, so she is always ready to listen and talk if need be. In fact, she enjoys it, because seeing others' faces as weights are lifted from their shoulders is one of the most rewarding things in the world. After all, the greater the responsibility, the greater the reward.

Loyalty is a massive one for her. Riverclan is her heart and soul, and she wouldn't abandon it if you tried, steadfast in this like no one else. She will be dedicated to her work, finding joy in the simple achievements, simple things, and finding positivity where others see none.

Beliefs: Star believes in Starclan wholeheartedly. Period. She believes every step is guided by a higher power, and that Starclan never truly leaves us. Everything that happens was planned in some way, and will positively impact something in the future, even if she is not there to see it. Part of the reason how she always sees the bright side, even in the darkness, even when reality is crushing. She is realistic, but will always try to find something good about it. Starclan is part of the reason she can do this- They are her light when all else has gone dark. She won't stand for people poking fun at the ancient ancestors, and will promptly explain to them that it is disrespectful. Starclan is one of her strongest beliefs, and no one will ever convince her otherwise.


Gore/Sensitive Topics: Star might be a little intimidated at first, but if she's told its for the good of Riverclan, she's over it and getting it done, no questions asked. Her past experiences with a rather cruel and distant father, have hardened her against such things, and she won't shy away from medium gory wounds. Anything higher than that? She'll just have to work on it.

Other: She doesn't really understand why cats fight to solve problems. In her eyes, there's always another way. A better way. She will be the loving Medicine Cat, but when she needs to be, stern. Her way of handling problems is to approach them from a different direction- If you can't solve something one way, then you just have to find another. She is dedicated, and working on being more sure of herself. Can be a little clumsy, but otherwise if very nimble, and flexible in both body and mind, easily adapting when she needs to.


OOC- My Own View On Things:

Activity: I am really active on here. Warrior Cats is one of my main passions, and this site was one of the first times I could openly dedicate to just that. I'm on every day, with minor exceptions there, but usually I'm online for at least an hour or two. Nightkit is one of my favourite characters, and I'm looking for more interactions for her. I post everyday (except for the rare times I don't) and if you check my post history, you would see just that. I'm basically available all the time, and constantly check this site, responding generally in batches, and then doing whatever gets replied to.

I will stay online for the whole of this if Night gets accepted, and continue my daily routine of checking and responding throughout the day. I am constantly and consistently on, and though I joined the site about two months ago, I'm very familiar with it and plan to stay on it for at least four more years. But hopefully, for long after that!

Behaviour: Positivity! I'm active on here and I'm friendly, welcoming every new user that I can. I help others out where I can, even though others usually get to them first haha, and I do believe that I'm a very good influence/presence on this website. My characters are kind, and if they're not, then I make sure to add in Warnings and OOC apologies for each of their posts. I talk to people, am friendly, and offer to do things where I can.

Previous Infractions: I do not believe I have ever been told off by a HR, or gotten in trouble with staff or a fellow member, but if I'm wrong then please correct me. <3

HR Experience: I've roleplayed one Alt. Clan deputy, and an Alt. Clan leader, as well as Med. Cat, but I was unable to for very long as they soon went dead. Other than that, I haven't had any HR experience under my belt, so I think this would be great for both me and Nightkit. I am superduper active, as stated before, and I believe I would be a very involved High Rank. I would post at least once or twice a day, at least, and be as positive as possible!

Communication: Much to my frustration, I do not yet have Discord. I hope to get it within a year or two, but apart from that, I'm very active and can communicate effectively in other ways if need be. I'll see what I can do, and if I really try, I can probably get Discord within a month if I'm accepted. So, no worries in the communication department, probably.


Dedication: I love Nightkit. I am dedicated to her character, and her growth and development, and the way her plots are going. I will not kill her off or adopt her out, and I will keep her in the Medicine Cat position if I get accepted. She will grow with the role, and her personality will steadily develop. I love her, and will definitely not be relinquishing my hold on this beauty or her life, anytime soon.

Gore/Sensitive Topics: I do not mind these at all. I'm not squeamish in the slightest, and in fact I enjoy writing them out. So from me, no problems presented in terms of how gory or gross a topic can be, because I won't care either way. I'll do it all out of love for Star. (Lol) But seriously I don't mind and can participate in any level of gore/terrible topics myself with no compliant.

Love Of Writing: I adore writing. It's a passion of mine, something I do in my spare time. Her posts are getting steadily more detailed as I get into the flow of things, and someday they'll be as long as Lightningstorm and Berryshine's. Someday. I'm getting closer though. I am organised and on time, with spreadsheets and notes all around my chrome browsers. I respond to things within at least three days, unless I forget (which is rare), or I am busy (in which case I inform people). I will be active, detailed, dedicated, and passionate with all of her posts, and really try to make her own passions shine through.
