Shared History;
They possibly grew up together at apprentices, but for a while they grew apart.. after everything, both of them losing cats close to them, Vinesmoke with Wild and Owl, and Mud's family. Eventually they start talking again, late night walks out in the territory, Muddy making sure Vinesmoke takes care of himself, and if he doesn't, Muddy takes care of him himself.

Maybe at first Mire could lightly tease Vinesmoke? But then she'd realize she likes him. Her parents recently died, so she's been going through a tough time, and maybe when she doesn't tease Vinesmoke and he sees her down, he could talk to her? And then probably a slow burn.

Since Vine is so quiet and gentle, I think they'd be a silly pair. Mire is loud and over-confident, so they'd also be kind of the opposite.
