What the hell was going on out here??

His leader had been rushed into the den seemingly unconscious. There was mass hysteria in the clearing. The otter fight must have gone terribly - Mountaintalon didn't have to be a witness to whatever chaos had ensued because HE was still hurting. He knew firsthand the damage those beasts could do.

Apparently their head healer did not feel the same sense of urgency the rest of them did.

Gritting his teeth and groaning against the pain from his healing wounds, Mountaintalon hauled himself out of his nest and shoved out into the clearing. It looked like the camp itself had been turned into a battlefield with all the blood streaking the grass, and if of course their deputy was left to bleed out front and center.

With a sneer, he whipped around and shoved back into the medicine den, heading straight for the herb stores. If Wolfhawk wanted to gripe at him about messing with their supplies, then he could save it for when he did his job. Moss and cobwebs for the bleeding, he didn't know enough about anything else to mess with it.

That gash in Spiderthroat's shoulder looked like the worst, so that's what Mountaintalon focused on. He shoved half of the moss against the deputy's shoulder and pressed down hard to stem the bleeding, and then turned his head. That healer was just standing around!

“WOLFHAWK!” he roared. “GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE AND DO YOUR JOB BEFORE I FLAY YOUR SORRY HIDE!”

Wolf is not out as demi yet !!

The hell? Wolfhawk saw mountaintalon barge in and take something from his herb storage as he tried to figure out how to go about healing. Why?? The tripod rushed into the clearing, ready to chew him out when he saw the older cat helping out the deputy. Oh. He flattened his ears as his name was shouted, and made his way over.

"Oh, im sorry for taking care of our leader who seems to be dead, mountaintalon. A lot going on. Come on Spiderthroat, medicine den," the large tom snapped. Ugh. So much happening, why did those damn otters have to be so, so... so bloody?

"Lets get ya to my den n me n hollows will get ya patched up with the rest," Wolfhawk told the deputy. "Risinstorm!" the cat called out for the head hornet. He had previously been called as a helper, so he was helpin.

"Help spiderthroat into the medicine den will ya?" Wolfhawk would say if the hornet were to show.

Fennel was frozen in his tracks, staring at the utter carnage incredulously- standing around like a mouse-brained idiot, when he heard some cat holler. Of course, everyone was yowling, but this particular word caught his attention in particular. Wolfhawk. This cat had the gall to address the medicine cat with such blatant rudeness. The young tom bristles slightly, he can only take a punt at why, but he feels inclined to go provide his assistance- and duff some blockhead up. He's feeling a bit vexed. The bi-colored tom swiftly approaches Wolfhawk and Mountaintalon, his long tail lashing slightly behind him as he comes up next to the medicine cat, peering at the other with a crossed expression. Well confound it, he can't do anything with him helping the deputy. But he can at least lend a paw to Wolf now that he's here. In fact, he should've done that in the first place! The tom curses under his breath before lightly, lightly bumping Wolfhawk's shoulder.

"Hey, can I lend my services?" He asks with a tilt of the head, glancing at the deputy and back to him.

Pure chaos, utter chaos, Otter chaos? , Okay no time for puns. Risingstorm rushed over to mountiantalon and wolfhawk when he got called over. Risingstoem glanced at mountiantalon who was helping with spiderthroats injuries Mountiantalon, help me get spiderthroat onto my back so we can move him to the medicine den he asked The warrior. @Starfall @dino. @Beaan

Oh! So Wolfhawk thought this was a joke, then! Mountaintalon bushed out his tail and snarled while trying to keep heavy pressure on the deputy's shoulder.

“What is the point in prioritizing a corpse when your unconscious deputy is clearly in need of more urgent assistance? If you truly believe she's dead, then change focus. She has extra lives, Spiderthroat does not! If he had bled out and died, it would be a result of your abandonment!” Though maybe killing the deputy would knock some sense into the empty space between those ears.

Perhaps it was a lost cause, however, if giving orders to an unconscious cat was any indication. “He's out, you brainless waste of breath! Do you really think he can hear you, let alone walk at all? Risingstorm.” Mountaintalon bit the name out as the Head Hornet approached. The gash's bleeding had slowed somewhat when he pulled back to check, so he discarded the soaked scrap of moss and moved to Spiderthroat's side. “Unfortunately my injuries render me beyond any further help. I can lift him onto your back so you can carry him into the den. Mind his wounds and watch your paws.”

He grasped Spiderthroat by the scruff and hauled him onto Risingstorm's back, his own injuries protesting with the effort. When Fennelfluff wandered over, Mountaintalon shot the other tom a severe look. “Are you incapable of seeing what is happening around you? Your deputy bleeds out in front of you and this is all you have to offer? If you wish to be useful, check the clearing and ensure this one has not left any more stragglers to die by themselves.” He jerked his muzzle at Wolfhawk. “Notify me immediately if he has.”

As for the healer himself, Mountaintalon shook flecks of blood from his paw and turned fully to bare his teeth at the tom. “You best get your head on straight, boy, lest you kill us all with your incompetence! Stop pandering to corpses when there are still living cats who rely on your help.”

His maw clicked shut as he glared at Dragonflykit. Waltzing in here. Speaking like she knew anything that he was talking about. But as his other siblings stepped in, stopping him from progressing further, he did nothing more than let out a frustrated yell and turn. Attempting to see what was happening with Dad.

Turning just in time to see him get hoisted on top of the Head Hornet. Like he were limp. A body. A warrior was yelling at the Medicine Cat. Which. Yeah. Go yell at him. But Beetlepaw froze in horror. So much blood everywhere. Not just dad's, in general.

What were they supposed to do?

He pretty much heard nothing, voices muffled as if he were hearing them speak from the other side of a closed off tunnel. He'd attempted to pick himself up, attempted to open his eyes. He had no strength left in him. He couldn't even muster out a single question.

Couldn't comprehend what was happening to him as he felt a dull ache in his scruff. Was he actually back in camp ? Why was he getting tossed around like he was still fighting the otters? He felt his head flip, lightheadedness and dizziness getting to him. Why did it feel like he was lopped over a rock?

All the Deputy could do was dangle as his legs dragged against the camp floor. Too exhausted and light headed to think.
