Mintwhisper made her way towards the apprentices den for the first time in StarClan knows how long. It was kinda exciting to have an apprentice again! The silver tabby stepped quietly towards the entrance, her mint green eyes scanning the den for her new apprentice, not that she actually knew what he looked like yet. "Bravepaw? Are ye in here?" Her voice was soft but loud enough that the young cat should hopefully be able to hear her.

The tom stretched and padded out of the den. "Heya Mintwhisper! What we doin' today?" He asked, flexing his claws in the dirt. He was excited to have his first training with his mentor and he wasn't going to mess it up. No sir! He just hoped she wasn't a stick in the mud.

Mintwhisper smiled at her apprentice’s enthusiasm, that was exactly what she liked to see. "Well I was thinkin' about goin' for a wee hunt." She responded, heading out for a quieter part just outside of camp where there’d be plenty of prey to hunt. "I’ll show ye how to hunt certain types of prey, then we can try a game with it." Hopefully that would make it a bit more interesting.

Arriving then at the spot just outside of camp, Mintwhisper stopped and looked over to Bravepaw. "Right so watch this, then try to do the same." She dropped into a hunter’s crouch, though decided to explain exactly how to do it so Bravepaw could both see and hear how to. "Keep low to the ground, tail straight for balance, back legs ready for springin’ an’ yer front paws ready to pounce." She looked over to Bravepaw, then a thought came to her mind. "Also, ye’ll want to remember this crouch, when I teach ye how to fight, ye can use the same crouch for that too."

@Aroogi (Sorry this took so long! Between exams, prelims, assignments and other drama last week was a bit of a mess so it was difficult to post much!)

Bravepaw nodded slowly, taking in everything his mentor was telling him. Then he put that into action, crouching down. Tail as straight as he could, placing more of the power into his back legs and haunches. "Does this look okay, Mintwhisper?" He asked, looking at his mentor without breaking form.
