he had constantly kept visiting vervain, worry coursed through him constantly. today, he paid a visit to the nursery in general, he needed to get to know his new clanmates names. his eyes landed on a silver she-cat. "'ello. 'm van- err, shadowedcall. 'n my information on riverclan 'n how it works is... very outdated." like 40 moons outdated, stars above he's old.

She had just finished grooming her chest fur, smoothing it into a clean, pretty puff, after working her way down from her shoulders and back, when a shadow fell across the entrance of the den. It moved forward, stepping inside. Asterfly didn't look directly at it, but her eyes tracked its movement from the corner of her gaze, lifting her head gracefully and dipping it in a polite greeting only when it was close.

Van- no, Shadowedcall? One of the newcomers. Of course. "Very well," she said, rising from her nest in a long, leisurely stretch before settling again, this time sitting neatly with her tail curled over her paws.
"My name is Asterfly. Minnowrain's daughter, and mother to Snowkit and Mintkit, if you've spoken to them already." Her father’s name carried far more weight in RiverClan than her own. As for her kits, they always seemed to be chattering with someone or other. Her siblings were... a few too many to list.

"Outdated, you say? In what way?" He could be a former RiverClan cat or from another Clan entirely -her memory for faces wasn’t sharp enough to place him either way.

"Oh, and I don’t mean to pry, of course," she added, voice silken with nonchalant innocence, "but what was your name before joining RiverClan? Vanerr, was it?" The last part was delivered with a flicker of amusement in her eyes and the soft curve of a smile - not quite teasing, but not entirely serious either.

he tilted his head, something he realized he did quite often, the queen was telling him about her familial ties, he didnt really care for such a thing, but he listened anyway, her name was asterfly, her father was minnowrain mother to two, anyway. "i 'aven't... talked t' many others yet."

"outdated, you say? in what way?"

he flicked his white ear as he pondered a response, "my ah, parent used t' tell me stories of riverclan, 'n it's about 40 moons outdated." he tapped his paw on the ground of the rock-crevice nursery, "v//anta"
