Foxpaw's first patrol. Right. He was an apprentice. He supposed he forgot they had responsibilities outside of training--which already left him with quite enough to do in his opinion, thank you very much.

It was with one of his siblings, and of course it had to be one of the screamers. Foxpaw sighed, almost pinning his ears back in advance. She hadn't been completely infuriating yet, but he would give her about as long as it took to leave camp to start.

As for the others, there was Squirrelrise and Mosstangle. He didn't know the latter at all, but he recalled Squirrelrise being a quiet enough cat with a fairly docile personality. At least Foxpaw likely wouldn't have any trouble with that one. It might have interested him to see how the warrior and Scorpionpaw got on--seeing as they seemed to be complete opposites--if he wasn't also a part of that experiment. Perhaps that could be interesting in its own right, though. Will Foxpaw claw someone's ears off very soon? Who could say?

He padded up to Mosstangle and Scorpionpaw. Might's well get this over with.

at her mother's orders, squirrelrise's jaws part in a small yawn before she stands from where she was sitting. she's not sure why, but today she feels more tired than she usually does-- maybe the lack of sleep is catching up to her. she's not going to let a bit of exhaustion get in the way of a patrol, though. so, blinking away any fatigue, she pads over to her patrolmates, dipping her head in a greeting. two were dawnspawn, one being foxpaw, who she remembers having dug his claws into her tail one time. yeowch.

mosstangle and scorpionpaw..she can't say she's interacted with them before. mosstangle seems quiet, though. scorp is excited, if her squealing gives anything away. "let's - let's go," the molly hums before turning and beginning to lead the way out of camp.

huge chocolate brown tom with darker brown markings that go down his back and limbs; lighter brown underbelly and chest. has a striped tail and small, tufted ears with round, blazing golden eyes. has thick fluffy fur and a raccoon-like striped tail. he has a single tooth that overlaps his bottom lip and is commonly covered in mud. he is missing half of his right ear; smells like dirt & wood. struggles with a stutter. ⋆｡˚ ☁︎ ˚｡⋆｡˚☽˚｡⋆

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ Another day, and another day where Houndpaw was being his lovely self. Not at all causing havoc or mischief, simply he was digging a hole. A decently large hole, perfect for a certain hound-shaped cat. He had a plan with this hole. A secret plan, perhaps, but still it was in the baby stages.

He would've continued with his secret digging and planning but hearing Mistlewhisker’s voice called out Scorpionpaw’s name caused him to pause. To cease. Ma was SENDING HER OFF TO THE MIRE??? All he could imagine was Scorpion coming up on the “beaver” (THE monster) and it gnawing through her legs. How could she be a warrior with ALL her LEGS GNAWED OFF?!

GAH. Houndpaw couldn't protect his sister if she was OUT OF HIS SIGHT!! He wouldn't know what had happened until she came back. With his mind reeling, he started to cover up his hole hastily. Grabbing pawfuls of leaves to help hide the sudden shallow dip in the ground, Houndpaw triple-checked it was hidden enough before skittering away.

.. Only to find Scorpionpaw and her patrol were already trailing out of camp. He was further stunned when MistleMa put him on a border patrol with Grottopaw. (...Whoops a-daisy. He hoped his brother wasn't still mad at him for uhm…making him…late…to.. the last…patrol he got …put on…) ((he had to keep him safe ok!!!.))

Quick to snap out of it, Houndpaw darted up to Mistlewhisker. ”MA!!! Scorpionpaw CAN’T-T-T go t-to D-darkwat-ter Water!! It's - it's D-DANGEROUS! I don't want her legs to get gnawed off!!!! Or, or her FACE!!” He barked, taking a huge gulp of air at the end of his sentences. He didn't want her to get hurt!! Nooo!!

“Can't-t - she just-t come ..with us? Then she'll be ext-tra safe. And t-then beaver can't-t get-t her, or - or any monst-ters, " Houndpaw insisted, tilting his head to the side. This was a perfect plan. If he followed his siblings outside, then he could make sure they would never get hurt or NUTHIN.

Briarsplash heeded Mistlewhisker's call, her tail idly thumping the ground as she waited to hear her name. And soon enough, there it was under border patrols. Saltmeadow Marsh this time, eh? She could see if any of those Riverrats were minding their own business or not. Part of her almost hoped not, just so she could use 'em for target practice... almost. Heh.

Shaking away the thought, the fluffy she-cat padded over to where she saw Midnightclaw was already waiting. The Enforcer gave the warrior a curt nod in greeting, then sat and waited for Darkpaw to arrive.

Tuftedtusk nodded to Mistlewhisker and made his way to the camp entrance, beckoning Roachflare and Daffodilpaw. "Let's go you two! Border won't check itself!"

Shadepaw padded in the camp with her patrolmates and set the herbs down. She was glad to. They tasted horrible.

DarkPaw purked his head up as he was called for a border patrol and nodded curtly before joining the crowd to find his group. BriarSplash and Midn- ah- there they were. He rushed up, respectfully dipping his head to the enforcer and warrior. “Here…”

Briarsplash was pleased to see Darkpaw didn't take too long to arrive, so now they could head out. With a grunt, she rose to her paws and nodded.

"Right. Let's go," she meowed gruffly, leading the way to Saltmeadow Marsh.

It wasn't often that Mistlewhisker sent her on patrol anymore. Never, actually, so the deputy must have run out of good warriors to be sending her (well, Sleepysunrise had requested to still be sent on some patrols despite her new rank, during one of her and the deputy's moonly walks). Her whiskers twitched and slipped out of the darkness to join her patrol mates, interested to see how Newtbelly would be handling this. Her head tilted, reaching them, eyes cold and unblinking as they often were. She was impatiently waiting to leave. And Rockface was here too, she spared him a quick glance. Hopefully he was more skilled with completing his patrols than he was with showing up to lessons.
