Funfunfun! Finally, they were on their way! She blinked a friendly greeting to Adderstrike before bounding off, mindful to stay behind Seabreeze, towards Lionsbeach.

Wow! It had been forever since she'd been to Lionsbeach and it actually felt kinda warm. This was gonna be awesome! At the patrol leader's instructions, Honeyapple brought a paw to her head as if to salute before placing it back down with a goofy grin. "Loud n' clear!" She beamed before bouncing off further down shore. Would the crabs be out now to bask in the sunlight? Ooo, she hoped so!

optional prompt: huh? what's that? looks like some weird twoleg trash (beach toy bucket) has washed up onshore! can you play with- I mean...investigate it?
Oh how Adderstrike loved the beach. The fresh smell of salty sea air was a delight that tingled her nose. Unfortunately it did bring in the cold air all the time and there were no trees to stop the winds. Thank goodness she was a bit fluffy, huh.
She looked around the tide pools to see if any crabs got stuck in them or the mythical lobster but there was only snails. She wondered if one could eat those and wanted to test it right then and there but then again she didn't want to be yelled at by every patrol mate... well... She kept this up till she got three more fools, having to move around to different spots at the rocky outcrop but eventually the birds wizened up and left. Having nothing left to hunt there, Adderstrike padded out to find a good spot to hide these birds till she saw it

She carefully stole one of the snails and quietly cracked open its shell. It tasted alright... But despite there being a lot of them she could fill her mouth with them and bring them back to camp but one gull could probably feed three mouthfuls of snails, and she could probably carry five gulls IF she was careful. With that little experiment out of the way she walked away from the tide pool but not before catching a glimpse of tiny fish nipping at what was left of the shell. Interesting.

With that stored away for later Adderstrike, she set fourth to go and find something for her clan to actually eat. It took a good while of sitting around and waiting for the perfect time to strike as she hide amongst rocks. Eventually a seagull got too close and she was able to close the gap, striking the bird down swiftly and mostly quietly. Some weird red and yellow things partially buried in the sand. Curiosity about to kill the cat, Adderstrike placed down the birds and walked over to sniff the strange object. It smelt of sand, strange. Without much hesitation she climbed on top of the object to peer inside of its opening from the other side... For it to then tip over from the heavy weight of the muscly cat.
Adderstrike let out a startled yelp and jumped awkwardly away to then land on the sand and did a mad cat scramble to get away. To then dead stop and turn around to look and see the object wasn't doing anything. "Ooo... Can I keep it?" She said no one but herself.
At first it was uneventful, a smooth patrol. Something that Seabreeze preferred and was sure that the fully grown warriors on his patrol could proper understand as well. Except, after the Tom managed to snag a too curious mouse along where the sand of the beach and the undergrowth of green met, he found himself staring at the scene of Adderstrike poking her nose where it most certainly didn’t belong. He nearly growled, his ears folding back as it seemed a cat he trusted and respected had lost her sense. Even daring to question taking it.
“Adderstrike, take a single step closer to that thing and I’ll be sending you back to camp, tailored to a warrior like an apprentice.” Perhaps that was more right than he had, but his lionheart days were speaking, and he was the leader of this patrol. His tail lashed once, the stupid thing looking like the wagging tail of a rabbit more than a threat of action. “Stay away from it, we’ll let Sunheart know, go catch something so we can head back. You’ve forgotten Windclan’s warnings of agitated twolegs but I haven’t.”
Perhaps one could blame his shortness for worry, but Seabreeze was a cat that has lost too many loved ones to care about their feelings being hurt if it kept them alive. “Catch things quick, then let’s get home. There’s a twoleg thing here that Sunheart needs to know about immediately.” He would’ve headed straight back if his trust of the situation could’ve been placed to the cats around him. He knew neither Honeyapple nor Crescentfur well and Adderstrike just acted too stupid about the thing.
Waiting a moment for a response, Seabreeze turned to make quick work of catching whatever he could because a single mouse was simply not enough. He took to walking up the beach a ways before slowing down and entering a hunter’s crouch, ears flicking around for birds or fish splashing.

"Well I already been messing with it and it seems to do nothing at all." Adderstrike said with a flick of her ear. Who the hell did Seabreeze think he was here? Was this about saying to go when everyone was already there? Surely Seabreeze was above such things, no? "It seems to have lost the scent of twolegs by now, they surely must have forgotten it." With that she kicked it away from herself, and anyone else, since Seabreeze wanted her away from it so star damn badly. All the while she kept an even tone in her voice to hide the annoyance underneath her skin. She was going to be the bigger cat here, other than kicking the thing. "I'm not sure what they use it for but it doesn't seem for catching us. Also... Seabreeze if you weren't watching, which I understand, I caught four gulls. I think I have gotten enough. Have you caught anything yet?" Adderstrike tried looking around for any ground that looked like it was disturbed to hide prey but truth be told she couldn't exactly watch Seabreeze either since she was lurking among the rocks.
"If not I'll watch this thing from where I am now, and wait till everyone is done. I think that should give me time to see if there's anything up with this and enough distance to run.Not really much else for me to do, I couldn't carry anything more." With that she crouched down and studied the object, she did a good job kicking it away from anyone. With her muscles tense she was ready to bounce away if something happened. Hopefully Seabreeze had enough bees in his brains to see where she was coming from... and not to think she was being mad at him for not getting anything yet. Hunting could be a pain at times.

Crescentfur padded up to Adderstrike "Hey I'm Crescentfur" she said with a smile "you looked angry just now is everything alright?" she asked softly keeping calm but not pushing to make Adderstrike angry with her

Eaglewing trotted through the territory with Seapaw and Rainpaw in tow, her feathery tail raised high. They were all pretty close in age, but Eaglewing hadn't done a great job of integrating herself into the clan since she'd been back. She looked over her shoulder at her patrolmates. "So uh--" what did cats her age like?? "How is your training going? I bet you're eager to be done." She certainly had been!
The Lionsbeach was calm, if not a little windy. The sand was damp from days of rain, and Eaglewing's pawpads prickled with stuck sand particles. "Okay, careful around the waves, water's still gotta be very cold." Eaglewing padded towards a copse of trees at the edge of the sand, mouth open for the rich scents Berryshine had provided her with. The bright yellow clumps of goldenrod were easy to find in the damp grass, and she bent down to snip a few stems in her mouth.
[Eaglewing gained + 3 goldenrod!]
As the warrior scanned the beaches for more goldenrod--or the telltale purple growths of lavender--she spotted something shimmering in the sand. She padded over, peering curiously at it. It was a bit of water, pooled in the dark sand. The waves crashed softly a few fox-lengths away, but from there to Eaglewing, all the sand was dark, as though wet. Eaglewing put her goldenrod down and planted her paw in the pool. It sunk immedaitely into the soft sand beneath, and she yelped in surprise. When she took her paw out, dark particles clung to her sopping fur. She reached in again and scooped out a pawful of the stuff, notcing with delight how it dripped into knobbly peaks on the sand. "Hey guys! Come check this out!"
"Yep!" They greeted Rainpaw with a headbutt, then turned to see Eaglewing approaching. Once they saw her, they realised that they had indeed, forgotten - she ran that fishing event, didn't she? Gosh, how could he have forgotten already.? They did wonder if their brain was ever quite 'switched' on at the moment. Can you switch a brain on? Is that a thing? And is it a thing even worth pondering? Maybe it was okay to have a bit of a switched off brain. At least they weren't sick any more. Better a foggy brain than being stuck in their nest all day. Oh! Look at that, they were leaving already. They came scurrying behind Eaglewing.
Lionsbeach - it sure was nice here. They always wanted to dip their paws in the ocean, but they guessed that wasn't all too good of an idea.
What was there to catch here? There was like, nothing good. Adderstrike had caught some gulls, and Seabreeze managed to catch a mouse that had strayed too far from the safety of the forest...

Oh! Oh, oh, oh! A crab! A yummy, yummy crab! Dropping into a hunter's crouch, Honeyapple did her best not to disturb the sand as she moved forward. Closer...closer...Aha!
Leaping onto the crab, she captured the snappy creature, cracking it's shell with her teeth. As the flavor seeped into her jaws, the she-cat had to do all she could to resist eating it right then and there. Ugh. But the Clan comes first. Oh? What's this? looks like her tussle had startled another crab basking in the sun near by. It wasn't going to get away!
Leaping for that one as well, she made yet another successful catch. Yum! Two crabs! Could this day get any better?
Ohoho. It soooo could. Adderstrike found a...thing! To play with. "Woooow!" She squeeled, bumbling over like a kit tripping over their own paws towards the bucket. "What is it?" However, before she could fully make it over there, Seabreeze was reprimanding Adderstrike. Ugh. Buzzkill! But. She wasn't going to argue. She didn't want to deal with the high-strung deputy giving one of his famous lectures. Boring!

Lionsbeach - it sure was nice here. They always wanted to dip their paws in the ocean, but they guessed that wasn't all too good of an idea.
Rainpaw purred at Seapaw's hearty greeting. She was glad to see that they're doing well, and happy to see her! Then Eaglewing joined them, and the patrol was all together! She followed Eaglewing, keeping in step with Seapaw. Was Eaglewing...shy? She hadn't expected that. Rain smiled at the question, bashfully swishing her tail. "I actually finished my training." She purred. "I recently passed my assessment! So it should be any day now." The thought was exciting, thrilling in fact. It felt like forever since she'd been made a -paw, even longer since she'd dreamed of becoming a warrior. And now it was at the tips of her paws.
Sand was not an off-putting texture to her. She rather enjoyed the beach, it could make for a fun trip, when not here for a specific mission of course. Which she was of course. Rainpaw turned to Eaglewing and nodded to acknowledge the warrior's warning, she had no desire to test the temperatures by taking a dip and finding out for herself. But she couldn't help but notice the beach felt...firmer than usual. But more on that later. Focus, Rain! She scanned the area, looking for the familiar growths of goldenrod bushes.
-d20: rolled 20!-
There was a good bit! Rainpaw bounded over, kicking up the oddly textured sand in clumps as she went. She chewed off a few stalks from the base, leaving most of the plant in tact as she knew Berryshine would want.
+2 goldenrod
Now for lavender. The purple flowers should be easy enough to spot even in these conditions. Rainpaw picked up her goldenrod stalks as she walked along the beach, searching for her target.
-d20: rolled 20!-
Well that was easy enough. Rainpaw trotted forward, setting her goldenrod down and setting to work quickly and carefully chewing at the base to relieve a few lavender stems from the bush. There was another one nearby, healthy enough to take more. The black-and-white she-cat turned, her gaze setting on Seapaw. "Hey Seapaw! There's a good bit of lavender over here!" She called, waving her white tail to catch her friend's attention.
+3 lavender
Lifting her haul, Rainpaw was waiting patiently for Seapaw when she heard Eaglewing call them both. She turned, tilting her head curiously before trotting over. She already had as much as she could carry, so what harm could it do to get a little side tracked? But as she approached, she was immediately intrigued. What was happening to the sand here? Rainpaw set her herbs down in a safe place, dabbing her paw into the area Eaglewing was playing with. How odd. "I wonder..." She murmured, using both paws now to scoop the sand together. And just as she suspected it might, when she lumped the sand together it held its shape. She turned her sparkling green gaze to Eaglewing, purring with delight. "Have you ever seen this before?"
