This one. He didn't WANT to talk to them, but saying something... devastating..??? would be epic and then Adderkit (he would just refer to adder like that now) would give up on defending Mushroomkit. "Hey weirdo!" he said to Adderkit. "How's your weirdo bestie??"

Adderpaw had settled on top of the nursery mound once again, she always sat here and just because she was no longer a kit didn't mean she would change where she sat anytime soon! No, she needed to sit on the hill. She did it everyday and that's just how things were….okay maybe she should have started looking for a more suitable spot but for now this was it. The braided tabby began her usual morning grooming, making sure to groom the same spot three times before moving on. The sun warmed the clearing, unfiltered and bright. Not a single cloud in the sky today, it was nice to some. Adderpaw preferred it being a bit more cloudy personally.

The sudden voice too close and too familiar startled the apprentice, she almost jumped right off the mound. She whipped her head around till she spotted the white kit with dark ears. Pinekit, the nuisance that bullied mushroomkit. She blinked and looked back ahead uninterested. She didn't have time to waste on cats that disrespected their clanmates, she didn't even have energy to talk her siblings so why would she have the energy and confidence to talk to a bully. Her mindset changed the moment pinekit referred to mushroomkit as weirdo. Who else would be her bestie

”She is not a weirdo” she said quickly without thinking, the response clipped short and cold. It didn't sound right to her, ofcourse it hadn't. She had performed the ritual and now she sounds completely devoid of a brain. She repeated a few words in mind again forming a proper sentence and tapping her paw on the ground before speaking again. ”Mushroomkit is in fact not weirdo, that's just your immature and uneducated opinion. I advise you don't make fun of cats you barely know” much better.

Still looking as if he thought he was the most important cat ever and he wasn't delayed from being an apprentice for... at least two moons... Pinekit watched as Adderkit was sitting there and she spat at him. He watched her turn her head to face him, but she glared at him as if.. she was worth nothing...?? That made no sense. If you really didn't care about him so much, then why even bother looking?

He sneered. "Well that's a lie, for you and her, nice job. I'm going to report you to the deputy for lying." Pinekit meowed, "And I know her plenty. She's a weirdo rat who doesn't deserve to be in this clan. You're weird too. You keep sitting there, and tapping your paw."

Pinekit glared back, still acting as if he could be better. Why? He was the best kit. Nobody would be better than him. Pinekit climbed (18) up onto the mound. And then he started trying his best to remove some parts of the mound before trying to shove Adderkit off. Cindergrowth watched from the bottom of the mound, just nodding.

Adderpaw had expected pinekit to go away and leave her alone but he didn't. Instead he stayed standing at the bottom of the mound with no clear motive other than to insult her and mushroomkit. Pinekits words about reporting her to the deputy for ’lying’ about mushroomkit being weird made her raise an eyebrow. He was aware that Mistlewhisker was one of her mom's right? That, and Adderpaw was certain the deputy would want to hear about something so trivial. The braided tabby's frown deepened as pinekit continued to call mushroomkit weird but then he said something that caught her off guard. He called her- her weird. Adderpaw's ears flattened against her head. Pinekit had signalled out her speech ritual and called it weird, she supposed it was weird since no one else did it- bit- but she had to do it otherwise her words wouldn't come out correct! It was something she had to do! Even with that thought in mind, Adderpaw felt her chest tighten and a prickling feeling beneath her fur. Weird, that's what she was. That and many other things, Pinekit was the second cat to acknowledge this. The first cat being herself. She had assumed others were just being polite or they just didn't really realize.

”Falling behind, you're forever behind” her tail curled around her paws tightly as if shielding them, protecting them. ”disgrace to your blood line”- Adderpaw squeezed her eyes shut and willed the thoughts away before she could spiral again. When she opened her eyes again she noticed the kit was no longer at the bottom of the mound? Oh, had he left? That was good. The sound of someone behind her told her that she was wrong. The apprentice turned to face the kit just as he attempted to shove her off the mound. What in stars name- she braced herself with her front paws and then stood up at full height. She was the daughter of Dawnstar and naturally had her mother's size. Add that to being older than pinekit she was definitely bigger than him and his efforts did literally nothing. The she cat blinked both stunned and confused. She raised her paw slightly to begin the speaking ritual but stopped when reminded by what pinekit had said. She clenched her jaw and placed her paw back down. ”Wh-w..what are y-you doing..?”

Pinekit had expected an easy movement off the mound but it felt as if he was trying to push a rock. A rock. Why was he trying this?? He didn't know. What he did know was that Adderkit was definitely huge... not helpful. He didn't enjoy being considered tiny.. but he knew she was weak. She had stopped to close her eyes, stopped to hide herself. She wasn't strong mentally, probably, or something like that. Weird. Anyways, he stopped, glaring at her. "Trying to destroy this mound because it makes you look weird. You aren't the leader or anything. And you aren't strong enough to be one, you never will if you're still friends with Stupidkit."

"You know what you've done to me right? You and Stupidkit both got me into extra big trouble and now Mistlewhisker hates me and she said that I have to wait an extra two moons to become an apprentice. Unfair. I think that YOU should be the one still a kit at the moment, because I think crazy cats like you who keep tapping on the floor to talk and crazy cats who see cats that aren't there should just be elders because you clearly aren't capable of doing things." Pinekit meowed with all seriousness. He could see the creature. It was staring at him. It took in this information, frowned and vanished. Pinekit didn't understand it, but it tried to help sometimes by telling him what happened when he didn't hear. He knew he was very hypocritical just then, but.... nobody knew about the creature. It was fine. Fine fine fine fine fine. Yes. Safe.
