Pantherroar nodded, her jaws parting in a wide yawn before she spoke. ''Most of the time, reassignments are done via Clan Meetings, yes. But if a High Rank---Owlstar or Sunheart, for example---catch a warrior in the middle of a violent act of training an apprentice and whatnot, then they'd reassign you immediately.''
''Yeah, they're quite common, I'm afraid,'' the she-cat sighed, shaking her head. ''I'm pretty sure that Primroseadder told Sunheart about the latest string of mentors not doing their jobs, but Owlstar hasn't mentioned anything, so I have no idea as to whether or not the news got to her.''

See now, ever since Wisteriawren had become a mother, she'd naught had time for herself. And sure, she wouldn't trade it for the world, but as much as she loved her kin - both old and new - being a full-time queen was a tedious task. It was so much hard work, she couldn't have even been able to imagine how much before all of this. The restriction on queens not being allowed to leave camp was making the outdoor-loving ex-kittypet even more antsy than usual.
Alright, yes, it was what a sane person would decree was right, but still. A pang of sadness ripples through her at the reminder that accompanies these thoughts. Stormstar had put that rule into place. But with the sadness comes acceptance. Her former best friend deserved to be remembered. Stormstar would want her to be happy. So that was what she would be.
She'd gotten up and headed to the warrior's den, intent on finding Rowanmane and coaxing him into accompanying her on a stroll... around camp only, but still. Instead, she nearly ran into Deerspark as he emerged from the den, and while any other day she would've wandered past him after he'd walked away, this time she hesitated. The scent of fear had clung to him, and he'd appeared rather shaken -- but there seemed to be nothing wrong in the warrior's den?
Her paws swivel before she can think any more on it, and Wisteriawren approaches the scarred tom with a warm smile. "Hello! Lovely day, isn't it?" He looked like he could use the companionship.

Deerspark's paws shifted through the rubble beneath him, his haunches tensing as he got ready to stand. But, a voice and a grey pelt met the corner of his eyes, an obscured blur accompanied by a voice. Regardless of if he knew that cat or not, Deerspark leapt at least a feet into the air, claws unsheathed as he sprung.
He landed squarely on his paws, shredded tail high and plumed in alert. Wide eyes snaked over to who he identified as Wisteriawren. A crooked smile was given (the effects of his jacked up jaw), and a worried stare. It was no surprise, Deerspark was always easily startled, but that didn't mean he felt any less bad about it.
The tom never felt truly safe, not within his own mind, not outside of it. He loved his clan, but he was never a social cat and his anxieties had only gotten worse. He slowly relaxed and sheathed his claws, the queens question a dull hum in the ongoing static in his mind.
Sage round eyes blinked.
"Oh." He began. "Uh... Yeah. Hm. Nice." Just because he was hoping for a friend didn't mean he'd actually expected a cat to materialize. Wisteriawren wasn't one to judge, right? Ha, funny, Deerspark would. Or he'd just think about it too much. Speaking of thinking, how come when things actually came to him, things he wanted, he felt backed into a corner? The siamese shifted his gaze away from the tabby, refocusing his mind on what he was thinking about before.
"Moths." He didn't lift his gaze, crooked jaw working slowly to form his words. "You... Hm. Er.... Like--- like them?" He knew Wisteriawren being here wasn't an invitation to just dump all of his thoughts onto her, but he couldn't stop his unsorted words from forming. He needed to articulate his thoughts. Most of all, he needed to voice them.
"They... They. Only uh, live. For... For. So long." Deerspark gestured a paw to the air around him. "S-uh... Some hm. Ten. Ten days. And yet... They. They don't uh. Worry. They live." He breathed. "A few... Few. Hm. Uh. Moons, weeks. A-and... They... live. I... Don't know. How. To uh. Do that..." It's not like he expected her to have an answer, Deerspark was trying to find it for himself, but at least he was talking at somecat, even if not to them. It wasn't the best, but Deerspark wasn't one to leap.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Snowkit
It was a meeting-thing, in that case he would probably be witness to at least a few during the next meeting. His ears twitched however slightly at what Pantherroar said next. It felt difficult to picture a mentor treating their apprentice like that - in a way that required immediate reassignments and interference from a leader or deputy. "That happens?" Well, cats like that probably existed, but it didn't make it easy to picture mentors like that.
He shifted as he listened to the rest that Pantherroar had to say, suddenly feeling for stiff and tired his legs had gotten from sitting still. Primroseadder, Primroseadder, Primrose... He had to get better at remembering names. But that that many mentors slacked was concerning.
Well, those were all of his questions and Snowkit felt that he really needed to stand and move a bit. He rose only to immediate slip into a stretch. "I really need to not stand still for a bit, but I'll see you around. Thanks for answering all of that, by the way."
Sunpaw was walking around camp, waiting for something to do. She decided to lie down next to the apprentice den and watch camp. She saw the bustling of all of the cat, from kits to elders, and even some other apprentices that she didn't know.

Floodkit yawned, blinking their nap out of their eyes as they stretched. Looking over to see the queens busy with other kits floodkits ears wiggled, my chance to ask the Paws about moles! they inched their way past the lichen entrance and into the clearing, bouncing towards the Apprentices den they collide with a furry wall and a small mew.
"owh!" floodkit looks up while shaking their head, their nose uncomfortably sore now. "why yu" do that, yu wasn't here before" they stomp their feet indignantly at the sand colored shecat.
