Spiderpaw pricked her ears, but remained seated. She couldn't tell if the other apprentice was trying to make her feel more comfortable or not by laying down. She shifted her paws and looked back out to the clearing. "My mentor... is Hollylynx. She's pretty nice..." Then she paused at the next question.
Friends!? Spiderpaw didn't even know Foxpaw, and vice versa! How were they supposed to be friends when they knew nothing of each other? No trust or respect earned? How was this supposed to work? "Uhm... sure... I guess..." The blue-gray tabby replied, looking down at her paws. Was that the right answer? She wanted to bring up all of these issues, but... oh, what if Foxpaw hated her for it?

Foxpaw has some suspicion about Spiderpaw's demeanor but he keeps smiling and remains friendly. "My mentor is Moondrop, we had some training earlier" Foxpaw tried to make the scene comfortable.

Spiderpaw nodded her head at the other apprentice's statement. "Oh... I don't think I've talked much with Moondrop..." She replied, licking her chest to avoid eye contact. She wished she was more outspoken, but... well, she didn't know him!
Oh, wait, did she need to continue? Oh, no, her mind went momentarily blank before finally catching up with a question she deemed good and safe enough to ask. "What did you do for training earlier?"

"Oh," Spiderpaw's ears perked up a bit as a quizzical look touched her face. "So you haven't done it yet? I thought you were saying you already did..." She mumbled. It made sense, though. It was just passed dawn, so unless they did a night-time tour for some reason, then perhaps the two were going to start early today. "That's cool... I really like Lionsbeach... Hollylynx said she would bring me back out there... to watch the sunset."
This still very much appealed to Spiderpaw, though her face stung from where her upper lip was still torn up from a crab she had failed to hunt. It was starting to get a bit annoying, but she was sure it would heal fine.

``Yeah, I'm all good. Just thought it would be nice to get some early mornin' sun.`` He paused for a second. ``You can join me if you'd like!`` Midnightpaw suggested with a smile.
He shook out his fluffy black pelt as he waited for an answer, adjusting his stance so that he wasn't blocking anything or just sitting there awkwardly.

Lionsbeach was nice Foxpaw thought. "The Lionsbeach is pretty! I would love to know you more, if you don't mind!" Foxpaw was starting to get a bit regretful for making Spiderpaw uncomfortable... He tries to make things better, he wants to be Spiderpaw's friend at some point. "Let's see I was abandoned by my parents, I don't even remember who my parents were..." Foxpaw feels depressed at the thought. "That's a secret about me... it's dark" Foxpaw looks down feeling sad.
