How aggressive. Grottopaw's ears turned backwards at Rainpaw's open hostility. He was only curious! You couldn't just walk around like that and expect cats not to have questions. Twilightstar's daughter or not, he decided then and there that Rainpaw was not worth his time, and lifted his chin.
"Grottopaw," he said primly.
"Dawnstar's son." 'Better than you' was left unsaid, though he was certain it didn't need to be verbalized in the first place.
Before he could prod Coldpaw more about her eyes - or lack thereof, he supposed - he caught the look Mother sent his way, and he frowned back at her. He was only gathering information (apparently Rainpaw was mentored by someone named Leechscar, and Twilightstar had multiple children, so there were targets of interest if ever the need for them arose), but perhaps he was being
too friendly.
Grottopaw closed his mouth as Mother went through ShadowClan's news, before tipping his head back to the WindClan duo and saying flatly,
"Mother has already said everything you need to know."
RiverClan was leaving, and as Grottopaw stood and stretched in preparation of Mother's call, his curiosity overwhelmed his usual instinct to obey. He tipped his head at Coldpaw again.
"If I stuck mouse eyes on your face, do you think they would work?"
