The brown tabby fluffed his fur against the cold. He had been successful in keeping the cold out for his mate in that special nest he built, but leaf-bare marched on. It always seemed like the most bitter cold waited for the last moon or so of leaf-bare, like it refused to release its icy grip on the clan. But today, he had an idea. He'd had this idea come to him earlier, and now seemed as good a time as any to put it to action. Acornfall strode over to the center of the clearing, not daring to take a higher perch, that wasn't his place. Besides, as he cleared his throat, he knew he would need no assistance in projecting his voice.

"ThunderClan!" He bellowed, his voice still light-hearted as he called out to his clanmates, glancing around his clanmates started to turn. He hoped that would get their attention without alarming anycat. "If you're bored gather 'round! I've got an idea for ya!" He waved his tail in a circle in an attempt to encourage his clanmates to step forward. "All are welcome! Apprentices and kits too!" He added with a purr, glancing over at the apprentice's den and nursery as well.

The brown tabby waited for his clanmates to gather, nodding approvingly at those who came. "So, here's the thing," he glanced around at the gathered cats, "leaf-bare should be nearing it's end, StarClan-willing. But as I'm sure you've all noticed, the cold is no less bitter." A shiver traveled down his spine, and he puffed out his pelt as though to make a point. "Let's take some time to check the dens and nests! Make sure they're structurally sound for our fellow clanmates. And it's nice to check in with each other too." He added with a wide, goofy grin. "So I figured, this needs to be done, let's have fun while we do it!"

Acornfall leapt to his paws eagerly, his fur now sticking out in excitement like an apprentice on their first territory tour. "Let's be organized about it though! Cats who want to work on a specific den - like the warrior's den, apprentice's den, nursery, and elder's den - gather 'round over there. Cats who wanna gather supplies, y'all can stay here and I'll sort y'all out into groups!" There. He nodded, proud of the clanmates who gathered.

OOC NOTE - How this will work

-Anycat is open to join! Since we'll be working on boosting the dens and nests of our clanmates, apprentices and kits are welcome to pitch in. Please ensure that for kits they aren't doing anything too dangerous or strenuous or they'll be asked to stop!
-I would like to keep the pace on this moving, so my next post with Acorn will be by February 25th to ensure groups get organized ASAP and we can move on to the more social/fun aspect of the event!

The apprentice perked up at the call but listened from where they sat. It was simple chore work but it was something to do nevertheless. Besides, Grandpa Skipper and Grandpaw Muddy may appreciate the work! Gotta stay close to the few people they still have. Hivepaw trotted up to the growing group of cats.

The apprentice sat themselves by elders den. They did take a peek inside to see if the two toms were in there.

Brindlepaw wandered over, planning to do something useful if nothing else. He was big, he could drag things around.

Hornetpaw came bounding over - building dens up wans't the most exciting thing ever, but do you know what was? Getting a peak at the Warrior's den!! "I wanna work on the Warrior's den!" She shouted, "Just tell me what I need to do!" She sat herself down, chest puffed out in pride at just how helpful appeared to be.

The petite warrior pads over to her mate with a soft smile, tail swaying gracefully behind her. This is exciting! Acorn is leading an event so of course she's going to participate, she's good anywhere really, so she'll just go wherever she's needed! Bri wraps her tail over her paws as she stands before Acornfall with the others who've gathered, respectfully waiting. She suppresses a slight shiver, he's probably too busy directing the others to cuddle with her and she knows full well if she were to show him any indication that she's cold, he would waste his time on her to warm her up- and she most definitely cannot have that. So she focuses on her lil' facade, forcing her body to be still.

Woah! Acornhead hosting an event? That was something Mothflame never thought she'd see. Mighty impressive.

"Where did Mister Acornhead get this brilliant idea, huh?" Mothflame snickered, moving towards Acornfall and giving him a light slap to his side with her tail. "Child labour! Would never have thought of that."
