"You're not alone. I'm here, with you."
Dragonflycliff smiled at her prey and went to catch something else
Boulderspots went slightly away from the group. He thought he smelled prey in this direction, a squirrel, to be exact. Where are you? He wondered as he looked around.
A twitch of a fern caught his eye. A squirrel! There it is! He readied himself to pounce, but accidentally put his paw in a spot of crunchy snow. The squirrel suddenly froze. Mouse dung! I spooked it!
Boulderspots knew he was too far to get it in a pounce, and any movement, no matter how subtle, would result in the squirrel running. So he pounced, bolting forward through the ferns and undergrowth. The squirrel, upon noticing the approaching cat, scurried up the nearest tree. But little did it know that this was his playground.
Boulderspots extended his front claws, jumped as high as he could up the tree, and dug them into the thick tree trunk's bark. Old and rotting as the tree was, it was still easy to hang onto. He rushed up the tree, outpacing the panicked squirrel. But the squirrel was more agile. It wove through the branches as Boulderspots began to struggle. It's now or never!
With one final lunge through the branches, Boulderspots's teeth found the squirrels spine and snapped it, a clean kill. However, as he tried to regain his footing, the branch under Boulderspots's feet began to creak. Another creak. A jostle. A hiss of leaves. Boulderspots knew what was happening at once. The branch can't hold me! He panicked for a moment, frantically swinging his head around, not letting go of the squirrel. He noticed a branch, not to far away. It would be an easy leap, but he wasn't taking any chances, not after he fell out of a tree as an apprentice.
Ok, here goes nothing! Boulderspots lined himself up with the solid branch, then aiming to overshoot it, he jumped. A second later, found his front claws digging into the thick, solid branch. He wasn't out of trouble yet, though, his claws slipped on the snow-covered branch, nearly causing him to fall off. But with careful maneuvering, he was able to claw his way back up to the branch. He got over to the trunk. Made his way down, and breathed. He looked back at the tree he caught the squirrel in; the branch was hanging on by a splinter of bark, a good 10 tail-lengths in the air. He was glad it hadn't fallen. That would've scared away all the prey in the area! He concluded, still catching his breath after the eventful catch. He then found a nearby tree with above ground roots and buried the squirrel for later.
"Well, time to go get more!"

I probably won't start an RP, but you bet I'll make it fun as my Characters are mostly extroverted, and each has its unique quirks and backstory.
If you want me to respond quicker, use #K2 alongside your mention, as that lets me get emails for it.
Feel free to sign up for our weekly bible study here.
Have a great day and GOD BLESS!
Not finding any prey Fernwhisper flicked her tail in frustration and returned to the group she had been assigned too.
(I somehow missed the first mention, I'm not sure why.)
