The aid apprentice padded along with his clanmates, his blue gaze carefully scanning the forest around them. DarkPaw let out deep breaths, trying to refrain from shivering too much, despite the brisk cold. On some days the weather was warmer than usual, others he hardly wanted to get up. Today was chilly. Always the gatherings, huh? Well, thank StarClan he spotted BlackberryBat, as he didn’t want to have to seek out any other cat for warmth really. “Bats!” he called, quickly going to the happy warriors side with a flick of his tail.

Aldersnarl padded into the clearing, his thick, ginger fur gleaming in the moon as he shook his pelt. He looked behind him making sure both of his apprentices, Mothpaw and Cowpaw, were close.
"Here we are. " He said softly to the two.

covepaw slunk into the gathering, his fluffy grey pelt soft, he stayed near Mothpaw, a silent sentinel.
Mothpaw
cream tabby | they/them | brown eyes “If I fail, I’ll fall apart.”
Mothpaw looked around, their eyes dim in the darkness of the night, though the moon shined on their pelt occasionally. Covepaw was nearby, Cowpaw and Aldersnarl were just ahead of him, and Quietsparrow had stayed back at camp.
Before they left for the gathering, Mothpaw had watched the two toms affectionatley cry over sperating for the night. I mean, they might not've been that dramatic, though Moth wouldn't put it past Quiet to cry over leaving the other tom for just a short amount of time.
With a loud sigh the apprentice chose a spot close to some Shadowclan warriors, yet far enough so that the cats wouldn't talk to them. Their tail flicked as they waited for something to happen. They made quick eye contact with Covepaw before looking away, had the other cat already been looking at him? He wondered in slight annoyance.
Yars trotted behind her mentor, her thick fur fluffed out against the cold. This is ridiculous! She hissed under breath. She didn't dare to complain, not to avoid trouble but because complaining would be a sign of weakness. And she intended to look tough at her second Gathering. It may not be her first time here, but that was inconsequential. She intended to be a formidable force as a warrior, and that image started now. Despite this blasted snow!

Always the gatherings, huh? Well, thank StarClan he spotted BlackberryBat, as he didn’t want to have to seek out any other cat for warmth really. “Bats!” he called, quickly going to the happy warriors side with a flick of his tail.
Blackberrybat turned his head towards the call of his name, a purr already building loudly in his chest as he recognized the voice the moment they started speaking. As the apprentice settled into Blackberrybat's side, the warrior wrapped his fluffy tail around Darkpaw, "Heya bud! How're you doing besides risking a frozen tail? I was honestly just thinking about sitting next to my mom because she has more than enough fur to spare as well, but I think I prefer your company..." Which to anyone that knew Blackberrybat at all in the slightest, it would be strange hearing the tom was avoiding his mom in anyway, the two having a close bond. Blackberrybat loved all of his family and didn't prefer anyone over anyone... at least, he didn't when he totally didn't go through with a hypothetical prank that may have had M//oonmeadow threaten grounding.
"Oh! That reminds me! I don't think I mentioned it to you but I had this great idea of putting mud on someone's paw and then like tickling their face like a fly, and then bang, they go to flick the fly away and they get a face full of mud. Super funny and harmless right!" He rambled on, talking with his paw as it waved about with each of his words. "Well mom didn't think so and now I'm on thin ice ( pun intended hehe ) with her! She said she would ground me! Like what- I'm a fully grown warrior now, she can't do that, can she?" He sensed a presence at his other side as he finished with his rant, realizing it was Yarrowpaw he without hesitation brought her into the conversation as well. Aiming to wrap his paw around her shoulders and try and cuddle both apprentices to fight the cold, "Can you believe that, Yarrowpaw! I'm old enough to be mentoring cats now and my mom is still treating me like a kit fresh out of the nursery."
Offff course. Yars allowed herself to be pulled in by Blackberrybat, she was becoming more and more used to her mentor's energy levels. He acted...much younger and more energetic than she was expecting from her mentor. But it was...growing on her. Not that she'd ever admit it. "In your case...I kinda get it." She mumbled in response. Though, there was a slight teasing look in her eyes. After all...it's not like she hated Blackberrybat or anything. She mostly wasn't sure what to...do with all that energy. "If I were your mom, I'd prob'ly be worried too." Or moreso really...he was certainly a stark difference from anything she'd experienced in her own family.

Silentpaw swore if they had to go to another Gathering in this weather, he would sacrifice himself as tribute to the owls or something. The last Gathering was one of the worst ones he'd been to, with the weather and seeing the one cat he wished was dead worsening his mood. Maybe this moon, she really would be dead. He'd kill her himself, but that would only worsen ShadowClan and ThunderClan's relationship, as well as risking his position. He wouldn't do that just yet.
Not scanning the Seastones like he usually does, Silentpaw kept his gaze down and sluggishly made his way to the medicine cats' perch, the snow just barely bothering him. He would usually be disgusted by the snow clinging to his fur and making it all wet, but he was far too tired to even care at this point. His head was turned downwards, and his ears uncharacteristically drooped, making him look soggy or something. He wanted to go home. He just wanted to go back and hole himself in the medicine den, or perhaps a spot in camp where nobody would bother him. He was not in the mood to move, let alone go to the Gathering. He hated it. He hated everything. Please be over. Please. Please.
Sleepysunrise
[ 14 moons | She / Her | Shc Medicine Cat | Shadow Fiend ]
The hum of a silent tune played in her mind, a lulling tone meant to calm her warring spirit as she wandered across the sandy area with Bleedingpaw at her side. She felt torn. Her fur brushed that of her brother's and every time a shiver ran through her body, a reminder that he was real, alive, and here. Not a presence meant to haunt her, not an illusion tricking her senses. Sleepysunrise always had been peculiar about those who could touch her. She shared a hug with her mama once, or would bump her head against her chest otherwise. That other time she settled in close besides Birdecho, only to be faced with hatreddisagreementopposition in regards to her new rank.
Her fur bristled. Today she was caught in one such particular low, a moment where her energy did not feel stacked up and spilling over from her paws. A lull, her movements feeling slow, her gaze lethargic, tired. She inexplicably allowed Bleedingpaw close during that moment of vulnerability, and he hadn't left her since. Almost like a guard, now grown bigger and stronger, he remained by her side. Sleepysunrise occasionally glanced his way, her weight sometimes shifting to either support his walk, alleviate the pression, or briefly lean into him.
The gathering was always loud, and busy. She was not looking forward to it. The last one had been taxing, Bumblebrat screaming like there was no tomorrow and arguing all around. She could only hope this one would be free of anyone's temper - or free of any clans, she would say, if she didn't care to know what the enemy's plans for shadowClan were. Besides that, she really did not care what was going on in their lives.
She briefly stretched a leg as they arrived, overlooking the currently ShadowClan-only gathering, parting from Bleedingpaw's side. Her gaze scanned the area, a new air of alertness coming over her. Seeing Miss Grandmama had donned her usual spot, the young medic - somewhat begrudgingly - sought out the medic's usual seat far below. It was without much second thought that she stepped forth and left for her allotted seat when she spotted it, only to feel a cold gust of air trail along her fur where Bleedingpaw had previously been. Her gaze sharpened for a moment and head then turned around; for a second she could sworn her had disappear like a ghost. But there he stood, behind her. She looked at him for several long seconds, wide-eyed, before her lids fluttered back down, her head lowered and she gave a flick of her tail. She was unsure what she meant by it. It was against the rules, from what she had observed, for a non-medic to sit where she was headed. Not that any of the other ranks ever seemed to care for what was just.
She hummed to herself, eyes lifting to see Silentpaw already seated there. Subtly, her gaze narrowed; not enough to be noticed. she stared at the bigger apprentice for some time before deciding to move again - letting Bleedingpaw decide what to do for himself - although a part of her regretted his warmth if he didn't follow. She settled her eyes on the surrounding felines instead, leaving some space between herself and the medic's apprentice as she seated herself on the medicine cat's perch after him. He was lucky to still be alive. If it were up to her, he wouldn't be sitting here anymore.

Covepaw snarled as Tinywolf began to lick his fur like he was a kit, roughly pushing his aunt- no. nuh uh. Mentor. That's it. Covepaw's ears pinned and his gold eyes glared at Tinywolf.
"Knock it off Auntie! I look fine! Not even mom fusses this much!" Covepaw hissed, tail lashing in annoyance. His attention returned to Mothpaw, grumbling.
"Sorry about that.. my mom has my aunt keeping both paws all over how I'm doing." He grumbled.
