[assessment] Don't sweat it, forget it, everything is a-okay

Racconpaw padded into camp behind his mentor, prey dangling from his jaw. He dropped them on the pile before looking around camp. He saw Beachheart and gave a firm nod. He’d been meaning to ask the tom if he’d be willing to do his assessment for a while now.

He cleared his throat before making his way over to the tom he’d grown very close to Hey Beach, would you be willing to give me my assessment?” He asked, tilting his head ”I know… Cascadingrapids probably should… and she’s a great mentor… but I want you to” He said, swallowing nervously, his tail tip twitching.

He’d grown to admire the tom and practically saw him as a father figure, they’d grown closer through training and he couldn’t appreciate the tom any more than he already did. A quiet purr rumbled from the tom’s chest as he waited for a response.

▁▂▃▅▆▇ the Tom looked at the apprentice with a surprised look "oh?" his fur bristled up as a some snow fell on it, he wondered why it was melting so quickly...not his problem now. his focus was on the apprentice he remembers teaching how to swim, it game him a swell of pride to train the Tom even though he wasn't his mentor. "sure- I mean- yeah I can run your assessment" his tail set gently on the smaller toms shoulder. "alright, assessment, lets see...I want you to do your assessment near the border, its tricky yes, but the problem with most cats is they don't ever pay attention to their surrounds, multitasking is hard yes but needed" he then offhandly thought, what's a warrior if you can only pay mind to one warrior in battle? "now, as I'm not your mentor, i'll let you pick a border we can have your assessment and i'll explain it when we get there!" he smiles, feeling proud of the idea. ▇▆▅▃▂▁
