Brackenstrike was a decent, if somewhat distant, father before his mate died. However, after her death, he completely shut down and started neglecting his second litter, blaming them for her passing. He became emotionally unavailable to Centipedepaw as well, despite her being his firstborn. The fact that she looks like him only makes things worse—every time he sees her, he’s reminded of his own failures. Centipedepaw resents him deeply for abandoning her and her siblings when they needed him most.

Stormfang is a tough but fair mentor who recognizes Centipedepaw’s struggles and doesn't let her get away with reckless behavior. While he isn’t the type to coddle, he provides the guidance and stability that she lacks from her father. He doesn’t try to replace her parents but instead pushes her to be her best self. He respects her protective nature over her siblings but also challenges her to think beyond her anger and resentment.

Stern but Fair: He has high expectations but is not needlessly cruel.
Realistic & Level-Headed: Tries to teach Centipedepaw discipline, knowing she has the drive but lacks focus.
Blunt but Honest: He won’t sugarcoat things, but he also doesn’t belittle her.
Secretly Soft-Hearted: While he maintains a gruff exterior, he genuinely cares about his apprentice’s growth.
Appearance:
A sleek dark gray tom with a jagged scar over his muzzle and sharp blue eyes. His tail is slightly kinked from a past injury, giving him a distinctive look.

Has trained difficult apprentices before, so he was given Centipedepaw deliberately.
May have history with Brackenstrike (could have been a former friend or someone who disapproves of his neglect).
Personality:
Cold & Distant: Once a strong and devoted warrior, Brackenstrike has become withdrawn and bitter.
Blameful & Resentful: He projects his grief onto his younger kits, even though he knows deep down it's unfair.
Rigid & Prideful: He refuses to admit he's in the wrong and has a hard time expressing emotions.
Conflicted: Part of him still cares, but his guilt and sorrow keep him from making amends.
Appearance:
A large, broad-shouldered golden-brown tabby with dark stripes and amber eyes. His fur is slightly unkempt due to his neglect of himself after his mate's passing. Centipedepaw inherited his fur color, making her resemblance to him striking.
Other:
Avoids his younger kits completely, rarely checking in on them.
Might have a breaking point where he either doubles down on his neglect or tries (awkwardly) to reconnect with Centipedepaw.
