Icepaw sat in a corner of the clearing, running a single claw between the fur on her tail. Eventually she'd have to go and ask for some training. She couldn't keep slacking like she was.

Hmm, it didn't seem like there was much left to do today. His apprentices had all had training, no patrols had been called - but, the fresh kill pile looked like it could do with an extra piece or two. The tom poised himself into a downward stretch, before heading toward the exit. But, who did he see there - Flytail... That was Owlthroat's brother, wasn't it? It couldn't hurt to bring another cat along, get some more kill on the pile. "Hello - it's Flytail, isn't it?" He approached the warrior. Hopefully, the tom remembered him a little from his time training under Owlthroat - he never quite knew how to greet most cats. "Do you fancy a hunting trip?" He suggested, jerking his head toward the exit. "I figured we could do with some more prey."

”Nice job!” the warrior praised, a glint of approval evident in his gaze as he gave a single nod. “Alright, how ‘bout we go out to the territory to get some more hunting practice, yeah?” he offered calmly, wondering if he should bring MuddyPaw along as well. Maybe then they could get some sparring?

Shrewstep wasn't quite dead yet, sat in the clearing with his tail tucked neatly around his paws. It kept them from completely freezing against the chilly ground, so it was something. He was just so bored. It was hard to find cats to flirt with who were anywhere near his age now, and he wasn't (quite) enough of a scumbag to flirt with newer warriors. (OPEN)

SpiderThorn had always been more of a casual sort, never one to push a cat too far, but MagpiePaw…it felt like she was something else. And yet, despite all that prickliness, she still had the nerve to huff at him for accepting the leaves. “Yeah, well, too late. You showed ‘em to me, so now they’re mine.” he said simply, swiping a paw over his ear to brush a stray leaf aside. He wasn’t about to argue about it. Hell, he scooped for up into his pelt.

But her words lingered. A slug of a mentor, huh? That explained a lot, MagpiePaw was way too awesome to intentionally fall behind.

“Sounds like they wasted your time.” he said after a beat, his tone oddly neutral. No teasing, no smirking. Just a simple truth. He glanced at her, watching for any more puffin-like reactions, before exhaling through his nose. “Well…it’ll be soon enough…whatcha want for your warrior name?”

Midnightpaw laid sprawled out in the clearing, the sun warming up their back. They were in a comfortable mood. Their ears perked at the sounds around them, birds chirping, clan members chittering. The apprentice sighed, their eyes closed not sleeping but relaxing.
