Another moon, another Gathering. Hiddenpaw was very aware ThunderClan had not gotten to the last Gathering, so they were a bit intimidated by the fact that there might have been news that they missed. Paws moving cautiously, the golden braided tabby lagged behind the rest of the Clan, and was just about to move to somewhere quieter and away from socialisation when she carelessly bumped into a cat. Startled she jerked back, head lowering and instantly murmuring an apology.
"I-I'm so sorry- I didn't see you- And I wasn't l-looking where I was going- I'm so sorry-" They whimpered, ears drooping and tail tucking between her legs.

Mothflame casually took a seat beneath the Seastones, tail curling around her large paws. She held her head high, refusing to show RiverClan her weakness. Surprise... She had none!
...
Obviously she had weaknesses, she wasn't that arrogant. Besides, those weaknesses were nothing to be embarrassed of. She wasn't afraid to show vulnerability when necessary. During a Gathering with enemy Clans, however? Not the time.

Following their new leader, Brokenstream padded quietly across the stony ground, shooing Riftpaw with a friendly nudge. He really needed to start talking to other cats. Not that Brokenstream was particularly fond of any of the other Clans…but still. Besides- he knew the young tom. If anything, he knew Riftpaw would just go searching for Snakefang. The tom held in a snort. How could such a vile creature cat be related to Duskleaf? That cat was practically a saint! Anyways…
’Well, would you look at that!’ Light green eyes locked onto a familiar grey pelt. ”Soaringpaw! This isn’t your first gathering, is it?” He mewed as he scampered over to his apprentice. ”It’s a bit cold- isn’t it?” The bengal was glad to see the she-cat here- he hoped she would make some new friends.
Hmph, it would be simply criminal for her to not go to this gathering, now wouldn’t it! With OwlStar the new leader, she was eager to see exactly how the other clans reacted (and of course if they had drama of their own). Goodness, she hasn’t gone the past few moons, and life has been so bleak! But now…now this one was here for the queen to entertain herself with. She was giddy as she followed with the crowd of RiverClanners. You could hardly see her round belly through her heavy amount fluff, and speaking of such fluff, another reason her not going would be criminal! Who would keep the little baby apprentices warm? Or even warriors? She was the perfect blanket for all! Her blue gaze gleamed upon stepping into the gathering place, it had been much too long! Now, for a friendly face to chat with while she figured out…information. It would be better to mingle around her clan for all, hopefully the leaders would be interesting enough to share drama!
Hmmm, pity. Seemed her…friend(?) was speaking to someone already…eh, whatever! She could sit quietly beside him then…probably. She pranced over to him happily, plopping herself down and curling her gain around her paws. A giddy, flashy grin was on her face, very very evidently on her face. “Heya darlin’! Sorry, don’t mean to intrude…jus’ looking for a friendly face to sit with.” she stared at him a moment, observing his shorter pelt (poor him), before her gaze flicked over to the apprentice. She flicked her tail in greeting, a softer smile meeting her expression.

Well, everywhere she goes she always managed to find the same cat. Well, the apprentice had wondered what he was doing. She wouldn't be wondering anymore if the tom was right here. She turned her head towards him as she listened to him speak; Truth be told, this wasn't her first gathering. It's just that she's never actually went far into the crowds and preferring to sit away from everyone else as to not be greeted by anyone. It seems that had worked, though, since as soon as Soaringpaw showed her face in the crowd her mentor suddenly appeared. Soaringpaw prefered going unnoticed. It felt like she could see more things easier than getting distracted by a conversation. "Third gathering, to be exact" it's as straightforward as it gets. With her having lived in riverclan for..four ish moons? By now? It wasn't a whole four moons but it was more than three moons. Having never missed a gathering on purpose, her roleplayer forgetting to change the age on her header last moon, riverclan going to three gatherings (this one included) ever since she joined and riverclan also missing one gathering...that makes for three gatherings. It really should've been four.
Soaringpaw's own fur wasn't as short as her mentors, but it was still not that long. She still knew what he meant when he said it was cold. She didn't know (or rather can't remember) how long winter usually lasts, but it felt like forever. She was about to ask Brokenstream the question, but it never left her mouth as she backtracked. Unable to remember anything about her past was her secret, and a cat as old as her would surely know how long winter lasts. The question would seem too odd. But it can't be winter all the time, it's bound to end someday. Maybe one more moon? It seems too cold to be ending in a week or too. Was winter this cold every year? Summer was hotter and Spring at least had more things to look at, as much as Soaringpaw wasn't exactly the type of cat to go running around plants.
...and who..was this? She seemed like Brokenstream's friend or..or mate or..something. But the two seemed to know each other, at least from the queen's point of view (till this day, she still didn't know why they called the role as "queen" but sure she supposed). She seemed like the happy kind of cat; probably the caring cheerful kind of queen. Well..she wouldn't know that for sure. But whatever she was, Soaringpaw wasn't sure how to respond to the greeting. Does she just...not respond or should she do..something? See, this was her disadvantage

Her first Gathering, oh joy. Time to freeze her ass out listening to boring news. Just the way she'd wanted to spend her night. But wait... Her siblings were here, right! With a small grin, Horizonpaw trotted over to where Floodpaw and Hailpaw was, squeezing in between her sister and brother.
"Hey." She muttered, eyes glistening. She had just the idea for something fun. "Did you know kits can actually be at the Gathering? The only reason we don't see kits here is because of some stupid rumour that spread through the Clans that kits can't go to Gatherings. But they actually can! I would've gone here much earlier if I'd known sooner! Next time we should bring some kits from the Nursery and take them to the Gathering! It would be a good experience for them, because they'll know all about Gatherings before they become an apprentice!" All that came out of Horizonpaw's mouth of lie after lie, but her sharp, silver tongue made it convincing enough to believe.
With a raise of her eyebrows and smile, she looked to both her littermates, tail twitching with excitement as if she'd just been waiting for the exact moment to tell her siblings about her brand new discovery.

AhaHA her first gathering! She couldn't believe it! Her first gathering was happening NOW. As soon as Bumblestar stepped foot in the clearing, Quackpaw waited no longer to bound herself to the crowd. Fishy! And cold! She wanted to see what the river dwelers were like. Maybe they could make this more exciting; Quackpaw has surely missed a lot from her time in sick camp. And she was here to make up for it. So many cats, but she didn't know who to pick.

Re: January Gathering
Mosspaw padded over, sitting close to her mentor. She didn't want to get to in her personal space, but gosh, was she cold! She shivered, letting out a frosty breath that misted the air.
Raccoonpaw ♦ He / Him ♦ Riverclan apprentice ♦ 7+ moons
Raccoonpaw smiled widely "That's such a cool name- butterflies are super pretty" He said with a laugh, though his expression changed into one of concern as one of his older sisters' approached him.
He flashed an uneasy smile, looking her up and down "Yeah! Of course! It's pretty cold out- so the more the merrier" He said, patting the snow beside him with a paw, lifting his pale green gaze to meet hers.
His gaze shifted to Butterflypaw for a moment before he leaned over to his sister "You okay?" He asked, barely above a whisper, his gaze falling on Crowpaw as he waited for a response.
As Duskleaf padded into the gathering place, he instinctively looked around for a certain cat. Okay so RiverClan were the first to arrive he pretty quickly established. Duskleaf was actually surprised the clan even came this time, with Stormstar having recently passed away and Owlstar not being leader for very long. Yet he was pleasantly surprised. The gathering would be a relief to him, guilt still lingering from not being able to save Frigidfang. "If another cat's injured or dies because of me…" he whispered to himself, not knowing how to finish. It was a relief that he'd finally be able to see his sister again. Instinctively, Duskleaf looked around for his apprentices. Beaverpaw must not be here yet, but he spotted Riftpaw walking along next to Brokenstream. It made him smile slightly, it was nice to see Riftpaw had some good friends, and Duskleaf knew Brokenstream was a great friend to have.
Padding over to where Brokenstream and Riftpaw were, Duskleaf gave a friendly nod before sitting down, curling his tail around his paws to keep them warm, it was freezing here! "Riftpaw, there ye are!" He said. "I take it my sister's not here yet?" He looked around, to see if Snakefang was coming anytime soon, but also to see if Beaverpaw was around. The young cat looked somewhat uncomfortable at the last gathering when he wasn’t with Duskleaf and Riftpaw.
Snakefang felt as if her paws were about to freeze as she entered the gathering, looking to Mintwhisper beside her. "I think I see him down there." She pointed with her tail to the small group gathering. As she got closer, Snakefang recognised her brother's leafy grey pelt. Yep, that was definitely him. And Riftpaw was next to him, and…oh, was that the cat she fought during the battle and spoke to at a gathering? What was his name again, Brokenstream, was it? She'd have a good laugh winding him up again!
Snakefang made her way towards the group, with Mintwhisper not far behind but still out of sight. She sat down next to Duskleaf, it was nice to see her brother again, even if it was way too cold for a gathering in her opinion. "Duskleaf, good to see ye." She said, then turned her head to look at Riftpaw. "How're ye doin', Riftpaw?" Oh, and then she looked at Brokenstream. "Missed me, Brokenstream?" She said with a mrrow of amusement. "Oh, I’ve brought someone with me this time. Hope ye don’t mind." Not that she cared if anyone did mind.

Mintwhisper followed Snakefang over to the group of cats. Would Duskleaf even remember her after all these seasons? After Snakefang mentioned that she'd brought her along, Mintwhisper walked past the small group to Duskleaf. Her eyes filled with tears of joy as she rushed over to affectionately nuzzle the RiverClan warrior. "I've missed you so much…" She softly whispered. Surprised, Duskleaf backed away, unsure of what she was on about. Mintwhisper stepped back, looking at him. "You don’t remember me…do you?"

"Duskleaf! Snakefang!" Riftpaw purred as he saw the siblings approach, getting up to wind his body around both of them. Though still not incredibly talkative, it did appear the young tom was beginning to come out of his shell more.
He blinked in confusion at the she-cat accompanying Snakefang that seemed very fond of Duskleaf. Was this his forbidden mate or something? Or another sibling? Geez, their family tree was all over the place.
Taking a seat next to Snakefang, Riftpaw looked at her curiously. "Who's that?"

At Soaringpaw's response, Brokenstream blinked in surprise. "Some mentor I am, not realizing that." He joked, flicking her ear affectionately with his tail. "Don't judge me too hard." He chuckled. "If you get too cold, you can huddle with me or your other Clanmates- I'm sure they won't mind. Though I think your pelt isn't as short as mine." He offered, eyes glinting with amusement.
As Duskleaf approached, he gave a warm nod. As Snakefang approached, he bit back a hiss. "I'd rather swallow fish bones." He retorted, pointedly turning his back away from the ThunderClan she-brat.
"She's not one to be trusted." He huffed quietly to Soaringpaw, ears twitching. However, before he could say more, a much more pleasant voice rang through his ears. 'Heya darlin'!'
"Blueberry!" The Lionheart purred, touching his nose gently to the queen's shoulder in greeting. "You're never intruding- darlin'." He mewed in a very poor attempt to mimic her accent. He laughed. "Sorry, maybe I'm not cut out for that." Brokenstream shrugged with a sheepish grin. "How are you feeling? Are you sure you should have traveled all this way? You should probably be resting right now!" Ah, there it was. The fretting.

Sunpaw was slowly getting better to the point she had chosen to come to the gathering. It had been some time since she had last been to one before getting sick! Amber eyes glanced around at all the other cats gathered so far, so many new faces, whoa.
