After being told to go to the den, she simply dragged herself over, head low with the occasional drop of a tear. Her fault- and damn did her mistakes sting. She was limping and some flecks of blood dripped from her head and little nicks. “I’m- s- sorry- Shalls…” she gulped, sitting down and cowering, making herself small.

As Berryshine spoke to Cobwebfern, Primroseadder continued to cover her friend's ears in soothing licks. ''It will all be okay, Cobwebfern,'' She reassured her quietly.
Berryshine had heard stumbling and uneven pawsteps, her ears immediately perking up at the sound. The telltale sign that someone was rather weak or impeded in some way, and would likely need her help. Whirling around, the small brown molly hurried over, her gaze creased in worry as she approached the queen.
"Stars! Y-You look unsteady. Come, sit down..."
The medicine cat helped lead her to a nest, easing the queen onto the soft pile of moss and sticks. Looking over her worriedly, Berry frowned in thought; she didn't see anything outwardly wrong except for Rabbitfur's trembling. "Please, tell me... what's wrong?" She asked gently, trying to be a calming presence for the stressed-looking queen.
Berryshine was satisfied by Caveclaw's response; the Lionheart never gave her any trouble. Or anyone trouble, really; as far as she knew, Caveclaw was a rather stable and stoic presence that was refreshing.
"Ah... good. You're all set to return to warrior duties, then, and this next Gathering... j-just don't do too much!" She reminded sternly (well, as stern as Berryshine's soft, wavering voice could sound) before dipping her head, bidding a polite farewell to the Lionheart with a smile.

Berryshine was immediately on edge the moment she saw Crowpaw, giving Cobwebfern a shocked and concerned look. What in StarClan's name had happened!? The poor 'paw was stuck all over with thorns, and she almost winced, feeling the secondpaw pain.
But seeing Crowpaw tucking in on herself in shame while Cob's words indicated that a mentor had ordered something like this... it activated something in Berryshine; something almost... protective. It was like looking at an even younger version of herself, in a way, the way Crowpaw trembled and tried to be small. A flare of something sort of motherly went off in the young medicine cat's chest as she padded over, eyes softening in concern and sympathy... and maybe a tinge of something like righteous anger, a very rare sight for those green depths.
"...Whatever happened, it was not your fault," she reinforced, one of those moments where the brown molly's voice was steadier, trying to meet the apprentice's eyes. Then with a nod to Cobwebfern, Berryshine was going to Crowpaw's other half and starting to carefully pluck the thorns out with precise nips of her teeth, spitting them into a pile on the ground. She attempted to soothe the irritated skin with a lick once she did, seeing Crowpaw's angry reddened. If only she had honey right now, like Wisteriawren had showed her... but bees were much too hard to find with leaf-bare approaching.
"I-It's gonna be alright... Cobwebfern and I will take care of you, o-okay? You let us know if anything else hurts," she mewed, a bit of an edge to her usually-soft tone as she wrestled with the idea that a mentor might order an apprentice to do something as mouse-brained as this, getting themselves stuck and prodded... she was sure Stormstar was already dealing with the offending mentor, no doubt.
