He watched. “Nice job!” the Lionheart rumbled. “Ya can go as high as you’re comfor’able wit’. I’ll be here to spot ya, bu’ ya can learn how to get down now, then worry abou’ gettin’ higher la’er.” he explained to the apprentice, leaving the choice up to them.

"Ok, I think I want to learn how to get down before I go higher", she replied, purring.

“Alrigh’” he nodded, searching the pathway down. “Okay, if yer low enough or skill enough ya can jump down as I did. It’s be’t’er to slime down as a newbie though. You go backwards n’ scoot yer way down. Ya do the same as ya were going up but hold on with yer front legs n’ take turns with ya back.”

Rainingpaw scooched herself back to the trunk of the tree. She dug her front claws into the trunk and made a move to do the same with her back claws. Suddenly she slid a little, dragging her claws drown the trunk. With a yelp, she grabbed the tree with her back paws, and proceeded to climb down as instructed.

The tom watched, approval in his gaze then…his heart skipped a beat and he flinched forwards, ready to catch her if she fell. He sighed in relief as she got her balance right again. “Ya okay?” he called, worry evident in his tone.

"Yeah, I'm good", she replied, as she came to the base of the tree. She then sat down for a second, her fur relaxing as she breathed.

He nodded, smiling at the apprentice. “Ya did awesome kiddo.” he said kindly, reassuringly placing his head on the younger than backing up a step. “Ya handled that great, wanna continue or no?” he questioned, no preference in the younger choice. Almost falling from a tree could be quite the fright.

"I wanna try one more time.", Rainingpaw replied. It was still pretty fun to climb up there, as she never had learned how to climb up the trunk before this. She looked over to her mentor, "Ready?", she mewed excitedly!

Hi nodded, proud the younger wanted to continue to train and learn more. “Yup, wheneva’ you are.” he nodded, watching the apprentice and ready to jump in if it was so needed. “Ya got this.” he decided to encourage instead of have himself worried.
