Cougarbite dipped his head when Dawnstar entered the nursery. He nudged Forestkit up first. "These 7 are my kits." He told her and swept his tail over the 7 little heads standing at his side.

Forestkit stepped forward, and turned his bright, still blue, kit eyes up towards his great-grandma, the clan leader. "Hi Dawnstawr." He said sweetly. "I'm Fowestkit, the youngest and smawllest kit but i'm still vewy strwong!" He promised.

Duskkit hoped that Dawny would like her! Apparently she was the big bad leader! And once Forest introduced himself, she was next. "Uhm! I'm Duskkwit and I'm the secwond owldest!" She puffed up her chest to make herself look bigger, but it did very little, she was nothing more than the size of an ant to the ginormous tabby in front of her.

Hawk's turn next!! Oh, she's so excited!! But also scared... this Dawnstar looks pretty scary, but with a quick glance over to Cougarpapa, Hawkkit swallows and steels her tiny, not-very-intimidating gaze and looks right at her leader.

"I'm Hawkkit!!" She proclaims boldly, standing up and trying to puff out her fur to make herself look big and scary and strong, "I'm gonna be the biggest and bestest warriowr Shaaaa.....dowww Claaawwn has ever seen! Just like Cougarpapa!" She sounds out the name of her clan out uncertainly but proudly.

Now it is Bonekit's turn. The masculine kit hesitates before he dips his head to his family members. "My name is Bonekit. I am the firstborn son." He mews before looking at his siblings one by one as he waits for one of them to cut his misery short. "I can't - and won't - promise that I will be the best Warrior ShadowClan has ever seen, but... I will try my best." He mews after a moment, his squeaky voice strong but slightly unsure.

Despite his... many emotions, he feels as if he is doing something wrong. he wants to be cold and unpredictable - not a pawn, but not a king either. he'd rather not be that background cat - but he does not want to be up front either. that is... not who he is. So, as he looks at Dawnstar, he meets her gaze, and his is just as cold and barren as a grown warrior.

Well, technically, Larkfire's role in this little get-together was nothing more than to sit silently beside her charge and watch over her. And, well, Sleepykit made that task rather easy. Sometimes, Larkfire suspected that if she dozed off completely and woke up who-knows-when later, Sleepykit would still be sitting regally in the same spot. Heaven knew Larkfire herself even hadn't been that obedient as a kit. Then again, those days with Fablespinner were getting rather blurry now that she had a new place to call home and new things to focus on.

Glancing briefly at Dawnstar as the Queen of Mean made her presence known, Larkfire allowed her gaze to flit towards each kitten that stepped forward to introduce themselves -- ah, she needed to file these away as well, for later reference.

Fowest- Okay, that one likely meant Forestkit. Duskkwit- Okay, really, Larkfire was starting to thank the stars Sleepykit was a mostly silent daughter, and when she did speak it was... well, it didn't include kit-induced talk. Blinking at the grey-furred, patched kitten who introduced herself as Hawkkit, the young enforcer quickly flicked her attention to Bonekit, and then Lionkit. There were two kittens that hadn't spoken up from Cougarbite's litter yet, but . . . she supposed it was Sleepykit's turn now.

That was that, in all honesty. There was no role, no position, for Larkfire to fill now except just sit beside her daughter, tail tip flicking as she switched between studying the ground by her paws and the sky above her head.

Seated closely to her mother, mimicking the proper and poise position some of the other kits had taken on, Sleepykit silently observed the brood in front of her. Courgarbite's brood... And they were family? Curiously, the black and white kitten glanced her mother's way before her eyes resumed watching the rowdy bunch. Seeing them pushing each other around, screaming and calling attention their way left little to be desired - Sleepykit had no siblings, and right now, did not see any reason to want that point to change. She was content just being with her mother, it was just them against the world... Or was it? Courgarbite and his kits were supposedly a part of their little family, though Sleepykit had to wonder how closely as she couldn't recall how exactly they were related. And another cat, the one who they were apparently awaiting, was... Her mother's mother? That was it, right?

Speak of the wolf; just as the thought crossed her mind, a dark and imposing figure joined the large group. Instantly her eyes were drawn to the dark feline, and for a brief moment, Sleepykit was mesmerized. What could only be intimidation and admiration mixed within her mind and heart as she watched the large feline settle down and introduce herself. So this was Dawnstar. Sleepykit knew not much of this leader; they had yet to be formally introduced (though that would be taken care of now it seemed) and all Sleepykit could go of was the little tidbits of gossip her young ears had been able to catch. Though quiet, she was rendered speechless, eyes finding Larkfire for a brief moment before they returned to the shadow queen.

One by one Cougarbite's kits began introducing themselves as the queen had ordered, and immediately Sleepykit felt herself unconsciously fix her posture. Half of them began making promises of greatness and glory... Is that what they were supposed to do? But Sleepykit hardly knew if she'd ever be as great or capable, how could she promise that? Then, the last one who's name already eluded her, did not make a promise but still promised to try...? Perplexed, the kitten briefly glanced at her paws. A startling silence followed, realisation dawning on her that it was her turn to introduce herself (what about the other two?) and scarily vibrant blue eyes looked up, looking to lock onto the leader's. She paused, then spoke.
"Sleepykit."
The kitten mew politely, instantly wondering if she'd done right not to make any such promises. Nearly everyone else had, was she supposed to, too? But just hadn't felt right. Well, only time would tell.
