Springpaw lashed her fluffy tail behind her; she was full of this energy that needed to be used. And this was her chance to do so now during this little session with the two. The torbie was OK with keeping claws sheathed; she rather do so than have claws out during learning at least Riverclan wasn't heathen. The molly glanced over to Beepaw, hoping the other got her silent message in her eyes telling her to do the opposite of what she did. Larkwing said to work together, and so she was going to do just that; she was fine doing teamwork. With nothing to verbally respond with she crouched low to the ground and moved over to the warrior's right side but keeping her distance. If Beepaw got her silent message they would be on the opposite side; if not, that was okay, she was still going to go through with her little plan. She put all her strength and energy into her back legs and she launched herself into the air aiming to land on their back. If it worked she was going to lay all her weight down on Larkwings back and use her front two paws to land blows to her side, claws sheathed, of course.

Beepaw wasn't sure what Larkwing meant when she told them to work together. They couldn't really talk to each other without giving their plan away. She was going to launch her own attack and hope Springpaw's plan complemented it or at least didn't get in the way. Springpaw was moving to the right so Beepaw ran to the left as fast as she could to jump at Larkwing and hopefully catch her by surprise. Hopefully Larkwing would be knocked to the ground and she could figure out what to do next from there.

The two apprentice's attacks seemed to be intending to attack from both the right and left. Maybe aiming to jump on her back, maybe aiming to grab at her tail or hind legs. Whatever their plan, it wasn't bad, not exactly, it might be able to fool an apprentice, but this lesson wasn't about what moves could work to fool an apprentice, this lesson was on battle as a whole, especially against warriors who were stronger and more experienced. Ultimately, the would have to eat this first defeat grudgingly, perhaps with the dignity of a warrior and not the complaining of a kit.

Waiting for a heartbeat, and then another, Larkwing darted forward just as she saw Springpaw jump to her right, a hair faster than Beepaw's movements, and evaded this first blow. "C'mon!" She encouraged, not tauntingly, but perhaps with a slight note of teasing. If the got frustrated, that energy could be used to encourage something more creative out of them. Something that would surprise her, or at least something that was good strategy and execution. "You can do better than that, I know it!"

A part of Springpaw got annoyed that it didn't work since she was sure it would work. Who would be able to dodge two cats jumping at you from either side? Larkwing just did; it seemed she was faster than Beepaw when making moves. Wasn't it common sense to make moves quickly and try not to give their opponent a chance to think about their next move? This time she would try using her strength in her legs and go for the warrior's legs. Springpaw wasn't sure what or where Beepaw would go for, but she would try to knock Larkwing's legs out from underneath her. If it worked, she would try to bat at their face afterward, not waiting to see what happened after that move.

Beepaw twitched her whiskers in annoyance. If jumping at Larkwing didn't work because she was faster than the apprentices, what else could they do? They had to distract her, then strike. They were still essentially on opposite sides of Larkwing, so Beepaw could make Larkwing turn her back on Springpaw. Beepaw couldn't tell Springpaw her plan, she could only hope the other apprentice had some sort of plan of attack.
What could distract Larkwing? Beepaw moved towards Larkwing, being as obvious as possible that she was going to jump at Larkwing again. She tried to seem like she was trying to by sneaky about the attack. Hopefully Springpaw could get some kind of sneak attack and while Larkwing tried to defend against that Beepaw could bat at her from the other side.

It would be hard to predict what the apprentices would do when they split up like this, obviously trying to work together silently, but they were not as in sync as some fully trained warriors - not that she expected them to be. Still, her eyes followed Beepaw and her ears tried to keep track of Springpaw. As she eyed Bee, from somewhere off to her side, one of her legs collapsed underneath her, startling her enough to turn her full attention on Spring, open to whatever Bee decided to do and only realizing too late that this might have been part of some semblance of a plan.

While Larkwing was distracted Beepaw started batting at her. She hadn't really thought this far ahead but hopefully the warrior would turn to her, opening Springpaw up to do a similar attack so their combined attacks could overwhelm Larkwing.
