Peachfrost's hissed comment was no surprise. She had always been hostile and eager to jump at the semblance of challenge from another Clan. Honestly, he felt the same. At least Beansprout had the sense to walk away.

"Yes, Mistycloud. We will escort you to meet Twilightstar," Fallownose said, taking a step back to give her room to cross while keeping an eye on the other RiverClan cats to make sure none of them did something stupid.

Troutstone gazed around at the border, then turned to Talonpaw. "Let's get started." He couldn't remember if he had already asked or not, so he double checked. "You know how to mark the border?"

He slowly walked, his nose constantly smelling the air, last time a patrol (in which he had been) met WindClan, it went nearly in a fight, so he was careful now... Even more tensed than the last patrol... I could go very bad again... And he hoped it wouldn't be...

Trotting along the marshland path that snaked through RiverClan's territory and eventually ended at the shared border of WindClan, Snowbeak hummed quietly to himself. He was attentive and alert, but not enough to pose him as being paranoid or on edge. A few of his Clanmates seemed to be that way - Nightspark in particular - but the pale gray warrior wasn't sure the reason behind it. In any case, he flicked his tail to and fro as he padded along, making sure to mark the border here and there.

Kestrelpaw gave a frown. There was no denying that Sedgewater Valley made her nervous- after all, last time she was here the were nearly dragged into a meaningless battle over Mistycloud's joining Windclan.

The older apprentice flicked her ear at Briarpaw [ @jupiter ], the one that her aunt was fond of. "Stay close to the group, okay? Don't wander off, and do a good job." Or Lilycreek will have both of our heads, she left that implication in the air, hanging heavy and stagnant in front of the apprentices. Hopefully, there would be no battle, now or ever. But, it was still hard to tell.

She slipped away, and marked the border here and there, checking the posts her patrol mates didn't, sidling up to her mentor [ @WhiteDawn ] . She tapped him on the shoulder with her tail, her nerves beginning to show through. As much as she acted tough on the outside, she was radiating with tension just like some of her other clanmates. She had never been good at hiding her emotions, after all.

"Do you think we'll run into trouble this time?" She asked in her low voice, her tail swishing wide swathes into the ground. Oh, she hoped they didn't. She had a brush with death that time that dogs managed to find Riverclan camp, and frankly, it was a core memory she would like to keep away from her.

Nightspark was looking around, marking the border left and right, he was clear he was tensed and ready, especially with Kestrelpaw on the same patrol...



Speaking of Kestrelpaw, she soon approached him and tapped his shoulder, he turned toward her and noticed how tensed she was, he could feel her tension, as she asked him if they could run into trouble again, he responded "I don't think we will, but remain attentive, it wouldn't be surprising if we meet a WindClan patrol, especially with the last time...", he advanced and marked a tree before saying "Stay with me. Just in case..."

The scarred ginger tabby padded alongside Kestrelpaw, since Kestrelpaw was the only other apprentice and close to Lilycreek, Briarpaw felt slightly more comfortable. Until Kestrelpaw went to chat with her mentor, and after Bri nodded in response to the older apprentices words the large tabby padded closer to Pebblesplash with a small smile and nod in "hello", silent though, because since her father's death she had seldom spoke unless necessary.

“Hi…!” She too was stalking about… nothing better than a patrol. It was her apprentices first patrol with her, so she was excited to take the opportunity to teach the young mollie some of her tricks. PebbleSplash walks right next to her apprentice, BriarPaw, Whispering some lessons to her. She assumed that kestrelpaw had already learned all this stuff… “Teaching time…!” she smiles.

“So, we patrol to mark our borders… right now, we are headed to Sedgewater Valley, the border between RiverClan and WindClan…” PebbleSplash points her tail at the border. “It may smell a bit funny, but don’t give a reaction too dramatic… you don’t want to offend anybody, okay, Lil Briar?” Her voice was sweet like honey…
